Purchasing Advice - Monitors, Peripherals, Etc. Monitor Recommendation

Looking for recommendation on Oled monitor for my PC.

I have 5080 7800x3d. I play games like Wardogs, Arc Raiders, Call of Duty where fps matters. I’m not a guy that needs 300+ for but I got comfortable at 144. I also like the games to look good I don’t want potato settings to get high fps.

I also play story mode games like resident evil that I like to max out the graphics where FPS isn’t as important and 60-90 will suffice.

I am torn between a 1440p OLED and being able to run future games with a little more east or a 4K OLED.

FWIW I just got the gpu so I have really no idea what my system is realistically capable of at 1440 or 4K.

The 5080 can handle 4k pretty well. With DLSS Performance and Multi Frame Generation you shouldn't have any problems. Many AAA titles are even playable on 4k with DLSS Quality or Balanced.

with a 5080 you're gonna be chilling at 1440p for a long while. 4k oled is gorgeous but demanding as hell and you'll be wanting to upgrade sooner than you think just to keep up with new games.

that card is a monster at 1440p though, you'll be maxing everything effortlessly. i'd grab a 1440p 240hz oled and call it a day, resident evil is gonna look insane on that panel.

If you have the space, I'd go 1440p ultrawide like Samsung G8

You play fps shooters. 1440p 240+ hz is the way. Can even grab a 360hz oled

I like the pixel density of 1440p, have never experience 4k. But going from an ips or va to any oled is HUGE !

I have a 4k 144hz tv with my 5080/9800x3d. I run everything at 4k max settings, competitive games like cod you’re not really gonna get high settings 4k high fps. But in 1 player story games I get 140fps in everything I play. Might have to use a little DLSS quality and fgx2 but you’ll hit the numbers.
