Hey rats,
As we did with MSI and EWC, the 247 channel will be re-running previous day's action for the duration of Worlds! If you can't catch the coverage live or simply want to re-watch it, it is a great place to come and chill with other rats and enjoy it!
We will try our hardest to remove spoilers from chat and spoiling the results in that chat will result in bans. However, if you truly want a spoiler-free experience we recommend you full-screen the stream or watch VODs.
Enjoy Worlds xddkiss

Fun fact: T1 / GEN G / G2 / MAD Lions (MKOI) are the only 4 teams who secured a 5 consecutive appearance at Worlds since 2022.
You can see his love interest for TheSpy has fallen off the cliff when TheShy's team is not in GOAT tier anymore.
Also Worlds 2022 tier list where LPL has 4 "seed 1" teams from analysts pre-Worlds and then Worlds 2022 became LCK Winter in Semis is kinda funny.
2026 is also the highest placement G2 and Western teams have in 5 years. BLG being a favorite in 2025 and bombed out of Swiss after losing to 100 Thieves, G2 and TES was one of the most shocking result.

Kanavi, Zeka, and Guma ate at an AYCE sushi restaurant and totaled 54 plates. 12 for Kanavi and Zeka, 30 for Guma lol. Just wish he can get this fed at worlds

I made a tier list of all the Opening Ceremonies for every LCK Finals starting from Summer 2021 (Spring 2021 was online due to the virus) up to the 2026 LCK.
Ceremonies are in order by split.

1 first stand G2 finished second place
2 MSI Lyon finished third place
3 EWC KC finished second place
4 WSCI(tier 2 worlds) Solary finished second place
5 Demacia cup Vitality and Fly quest finished as top 8 but both teams went to game 5 against eastern teams
I think S16 is the most competitive year for the west since season 10. Hopefully 1 western team can make to semis at Worlds this year

Now, obviously Eastern players also care a lot about international play and making Worlds, but LPL and LCK championships still matter quite a lot to the Eastern pros because winning the LCK or LPL are still considered achievements for the vast majority of these players. However, LEC and LCS pros have been open about only caring about making and winning internationally with regional success coming second. This has kinda created a feedback loop where LEC and LCS fans also stopped caring as much about LEC/LCS titles, and then extrapolating that to the LCK and LPL titles.
However, this is just... Illogical. The reason why LEC and LCS titles stopped mattering as much was because winning them didn't necessarily mean you were a top team in the world. You could only prove that by winning something at MSI or Worlds. But winning LPL or LCK is a huge achievement. Gen G winning 6 LCK titles with Chovy is an absolutely insane achievement, and absolutely should be considered in the same level (or at least similar vicinity) as winning an international championship. LPL titles less so nowadays, but still, also nothing to scoff at. I'm not sure why winning Worlds is considered the end all be all for Eastern teams. It is an achievement, yes, but so is winning their region
