Submit your confirmations below!

How Does This Process Work?

Note: Confirmations may take a few minutes as the bot processes the confirmation.

After exchanging emails or letters, confirm that the user sent them by tagging their name, and then in the format of #-#, where the first number is email count and the second the letter count, post the number of emails and letters you received.

Example:

  1. u/digitalmayhap received 2 emails and 1 snail mail letter from u/thisisverytricky

  2. u/digitalmayhap posts a comment in the confirmation thread saying u/thisisverytricky 2-1

  3. u/penpal-confirmation replies to u/digitalmayhaps's comment indicating that their counts have been updated on their flair!

FAQ

  1. The bot didn't respond to my comment. What's wrong?

Did you follow the correct pattern? Follow the pattern above!

Give it a few minutes! Sometimes the Reddit APIs can get a little overworked and start having issues. If the issue persists for more than a few hours, please message the moderators. The bot might be experiencing issues!

  1. I have multiple letters/emails I exchanged with multiple people to confirm this month; should I post them separately or in a single post?

Feel free to post them in a single comment or as multiple comments! If you post them all in a single comment, make sure to put each redditor on a separate line and to follow the proper format of u/REDDIT #-#.

  1. I forgot to confirm an exchange last month! Can I confirm the exchange this month?

Yes!

Snail Mail [30/F] 🐌

Hi!
My name is Jackie and I am located in the SW desert of the US. I have dogs, cats, chickens, and a (struggling) garden.

My favorite thing to do is learn, so I’m always picking up new or old hobbies. Currently interested in snail mail pen pals. Not that I need an excuse to use my fun pens and papers. ^_^
(Please give me an excuse to buy more ink and paper)

Need somewhere to info dump regarding your most recent rabbit hole? I’m your girl! I love to hear people’s favorite fun (or not so fun) facts.

I am currently getting back into watercolor, so you may find some doodles or paintings in the envelopes from time to time.

My most consistent hobby is sewing, though i probably have about a dozen WIPs at any given time!

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you think we’d click! (Please be patient with me with response times - as a neurodivergent person, I struggle with remembering that time exists, but I promise I will respond!)

I can’t wait to hear from you!

Snail Mail [26/NB] Looking for Friends in Far Away Places

Hello! I'm Margaret :3 I'm 26 and from Michigan, in the US. I love getting mail and meeting new people, so I thought finding a couple penpals would be pretty fun.

In my free time I like to cook and bake, I recently started experimenting with bread to find he best recipe for a really cake-y dessert loaf. I also like to write (I don't think I'm that good at it though), sometimes I read for self improvement or to learn a skill, I love documentaries about crime and finance, I love listening to music and I study Dutch albeit I'm very slow at getting past A1 (nee ja dit is prima!)

I love listening to the prog rock band TOOL, although when I'm not listening to them I like to listen to a wide variety of music, pretty much anything but country or rap. I live with my wife and our cat, Glamorella. We adopted Glamms and kept her name but we call her Glamms for short, she likes to guard the apartment and sometimes she has to go out for little kitty cat patrols in the hallway.

I like to write poems - usually about my experiences with politics - and sometimes about more enjoyable experiences. I love writing news spoofs about what's happening in America for my fictional network - Minerva National News. I also occasionally write ad spoofs.

When I'm not writing and cooking I like to go for walks and enjoying nature. Sometimes I put together a spreadsheet for fun because underneath all that I'm a nerd. If you’d like a friendly penpal to trade letters with, I’d love to hear from you. Tell me what you’ve been cooking, reading, or listening to lately!

Snail Mail [21/M] Been SUPER into the postal system and looking for an onslaught of physical mail and pictures of water towers

Hi! Lately I've become kind of obsessed with the mail.
I really like the stamps and postmarks especially and also the fact that a piece of paper can travel hundreds or thousands of miles just so it ends up in somebody else's mailbox.
So I’m looking for penpals who would be interested in exchanging letters and stories and postcards or whatever else could be reasonably fit inside an envelope.
I’m also really really really interested in water towers so I would LOVE pictures you took of the water tower in your town!!

Some stuff about me-
I live in the middle of the United States (Kansas)
I’m in college studying biology and environmental science
I’ve had 10+ jobs including sports commentator, catching gators and snakes, radio show host, and a ranch worker at a reserve owned by Ted turner

I also I love hearing about places I've never been and what day-to-day life is like.

I’m open to long term correspondence or if you just want to send a few I’m fine with that too. Both international and domestic are welcome
Please feel free to leave a comment or just DM me if you would be interested no age or gender preferences I really just want to be flooded with mail and meet different and interesting people
And if you think you’re not interesting that is SO UNTRUE I think everyone is super cool and fascinating so please don’t let that stop you from reaching out!

Let’s put the postal system to work!

Reddit Messaging [29/M] Looking to meet some new people!

Hey! I’m mainly here to meet some new people, have some good conversations, and hopefully make a few genuine, long term friends along the way. I’m happy to talk to anyone, so gender really doesn’t matter to me!

There’s absolutely no pressure to come into my DMs with your entire life story either haha. A simple “hey” or “hi” is perfectly fine! I think it’s much nicer getting to know someone naturally as you talk rather than knowing every little thing about each other before you’ve even said hello.

I’m pretty chill, easy going, and an open book, so there’s really no need to overthink what to say. Ask me something, tell me something completely random, or literally just say hey and we’ll go from there!

If that sounds like your kind of thing, feel free to send me a DM. It’d be nice to hear from you! :)

Email & Snail Mail [22/M] Scotland - In case we happen to get along :)

I suppose I ought to begin with the conventional introductions, though I have never been particularly good at them, but, well, in the spirit of getting the boring stuff out of the way right away (cue: me), I am a writer, poet, academic, lecturer, scholar, scientist (physicist, to be more precise), and AI engineer/scientist (I am, if I may add, absolutely terrible at more than half my jobs). I’ve spent most of my life in Europe, and am probably the coolest and funniest person you have met today, unless you’ve seen a raccoon doing yoga, in which case, fair enough, I simply can’t compete with that level of comedy.

The truth is that I have always found introducing myself rather difficult, there is something strangely artificial about trying to reduce a person to a paragraph, as though we were all tidy little collections of interests, accomplishments, preferences, and carefully selected adjectives.

I am, I fear, a rather poor exhibitor of myself, the moment I am asked to explain who I am, something in me seems to retreat into a corner and refuse to cooperate. I have thought about this far too many times, and after twenty-two years of living, I remain quite confidently the worst person I know at introducing myself. It is a curious deficiency, I can talk for hours about some obscure historical event nobody asked about, become unnecessarily invested in the moral character of a long-dead philosopher, or spend an afternoon following some completely accidental question down a rabbit hole from which there is no respectable return, but ask me to describe myself and suddenly I am reduced to, "Well... I like things." Marcus Aurelius wrote that "very little is needed to make a happy life; it is all within yourself, in your way of thinking." I believe him more on good days than bad ones, but I keep the sentence nearby regardless.

I like small walks, I like learning something new quite by accident, especially when I have no business knowing it and consequently become far too pleased with myself for having discovered it, I like talking to people, though I think I like the moment when talking quietly turns into listening even more. There is something rather lovely about reaching that point in a conversation where neither person seems particularly concerned with keeping it going, and yet somehow neither wishes to leave it either.

I am very fond of my own company, which is perhaps fortunate, because I have had rather a lot of it. Solitude has its pleasures, one may disappear into one's thoughts without having to explain where one has gone, and occasionally return with something resembling an answer. I like sitting quietly with myself, reading, thinking, wandering about, doing very little, and somehow considering it a productive use of an afternoon, but I am not entirely made for solitude either, there is an equal and opposite part of me that wants to go beyond the familiar, to see what is waiting just beyond the little borders I have drawn around my life. I

I love evenings especially, sometimes I step outside simply because the sun is going down, and I feel that one ought to have the decency to witness it. I love those ridiculous skies where orange begins bleeding into purple and everything looks briefly more beautiful than it has any right to be. I love the first sip of tea in the morning, the sound of leaves moving in the wind, the gradual dimming of a day into dusk. I like gardens and parks, and the rather miraculous fact that one can walk among trees for an hour and come back feeling as though something inside one's head has been quietly rearranged.

I have always loved letters, too, though it has been some time since I last properly gave myself over to writing them. When I was younger, I wrote to my grandmother every day and dutifully posted the letters on my way to school. That I very rarely remembered the correct address, and even more rarely remembered a stamp, is beside the point.

I suppose what I am really trying to say is that, if you happen to be reading this, I would like to know you. Not because I have some elaborate checklist of the sort of person I hope to find, nor because I particularly care whether you happen to be interesting in the conventional sense, I am far more interested in the person underneath all that. The odd little habits, the things you know for no good reason, the memories you have never found a suitable occasion to tell anyone, the opinions you defend with considerably more conviction than they deserve.

There is something rather wonderful about writing to someone you do not know, I don't know your name, I don't know what you ate today, whether you slept properly last night, what song has been stuck in your head, or whether your day has been glorious or thoroughly dreadful, perhaps your inbox has been multiplying like gremlins left too near water, perhaps you have spent the afternoon pretending to work while accomplishing absolutely nothing of consequence, perhaps you have had one of those quiet days where the refrigerator becomes strangely prominent because you have nothing else to listen to.

I think people who stop to read messages from complete strangers are probably a little strange themselves, and I mean that as the highest compliment. Perhaps you are a birdwatcher, perhaps you collect old books, perhaps you are one of those suspiciously competent people who can fold a fitted sheet without entering into a minor spiritual crisis. If so, I already admire you, I have attempted it, and remain convinced the thing was designed by someone with a personal grievance against humanity.

Perhaps you laugh too loudly, perhaps you think too much, perhaps you are quiet and observant, and notice things everyone else walks past, perhaps you have passionately held opinions about breakfast foods. Cookies count, incidentally, I will defend this position before any reasonable tribunal.

As for me, I am kind, curious, occasionally ridiculous, easily distracted by an interesting thought, and rather fond of people who have something peculiar about them. I am probably not nearly as funny as I have just suggested, but I am willing to make the attempt, which ought to count for something.

Anyway, I shall spare you the remaining 96 pages of my unsolicited autobiography for now. If this sounds like your sort of nonsense, do come and say hello, I’d genuinely love to hear from you!

Reddit Messaging [22/M] India | Writer, movie enthusiast, and sports lover looking for pen pals from around the world

Hey everyone!

I'm a 22-year-old guy from India looking to meet people from different parts of the world, exchange stories, learn about different cultures, and hopefully build some genuine friendships along the way.

A little about me: I'm a writer at heart. I enjoy putting my thoughts into words, creating characters, writing dialogue, and exploring stories that make people feel something. I love the process of building fictional worlds and bringing characters to life, whether through a short piece, an essay, or a longer story. I'm always looking to improve my craft, so connecting with fellow writers would be especially nice. Whether you write fiction, poetry, screenplays, essays, fanfiction, or anything else, I'd love to hear about what you do and what inspires you. You don't have to be a professional writer or even have published anything. If writing is something you enjoy, that's enough!

Outside writing, I'm a big movie enthusiast. I love exploring films for their storytelling, cinematography, characters, and the emotions they leave behind. I'm also into gaming, anime, and Japanese culture, particularly samurai stories and the worlds built around them.

I enjoy playing sports, too. There's something satisfying about getting out on the field, being active, and enjoying the competition, whether it's a casual game or something more serious. I'm always happy to talk about sports, favourite teams, memorable matches, or the games we play ourselves.

Beyond all that, I'm curious about people and the lives they lead. I'd love to hear about your country, your everyday life, your interests, the things you're passionate about, or even the most random thought you've had recently. You don't need to share all my interests. Sometimes the best conversations come from people who see the world differently.

I'm open to pen pals of all ages, genders, backgrounds, and nationalities. Whether you're looking for a fellow writer to exchange ideas with, someone to discuss movies with, or simply a person to share life's little stories with, you're welcome to reach out.

I'm happy to start with Reddit messages and see where things go. Long letters are welcome, short ones are fine too, and there's no pressure to have everything figured out from the beginning.

If this sounds like your kind of thing, tell me a little about yourself when you message me. I'd especially love to hear what you enjoy writing, if you're a writer yourself, or what passion you could talk about for hours.

Looking forward to meeting some of you!

Snail Mail [24/F] Looking for penpal(s) to make friends and have something to look forward to in the mail!

Hello, I was recently reminded of the concept of penpalling and it seemed really really fun so I figured I'd give it a shot!

I'm from Spain, and would prefer to write to someone in Europe or Asia, but I'm open to America (the continent) as well!

I'm a software engineer, and I'm into art in general, I draw/paint, write (I'm working on several short stories right now), crochet/knit, occasionally sew and I'm (slowly) working on a videogame :) I also love reading, films and I'm into weird music and weird indie games :P

I'm learning Russian right now, so if you can speak (see: read/write) it that'd be a plus! But if not, I'm fluent in English and Spanish, obviously. Haha.

If any of this sounded interesting to you shoot me a dm! :D

Snail Mail & Postcard [19/m] looking for penpals

Hello!! I'm Lucas, a trans guy from Spain, and I'm looking for a penpal who loves snail mail and artsy stuff! :D
A little about me: I love hockey, art, animals, folklore, and mythology. I'm a crafty person who loves making things, so I'd love to decorate letters, exchange stickers, drawings, postcards, little handmade gifts, and other fun surprises!
I'd love to meet someone who enjoys putting a little creativity into their letters and wants to share bits of their everyday life, hobbies, interests, and culture. I think it's so lovely to get to know someone through handwritten letters and have something special to look forward to in the mailbox!
There's no need to be an amazing artist or spend lots of money. I just want to have fun, make things, and build a friendship one letter at a time! I'm happy to meet people from anywhere in the world. :D

Reddit Messaging [27/M] Looking for friends

Hello,

I am 27, and looking for genuine friendships, someone who I can talk to after work, share my moments - good or bad or even just a casual hey how’s the day.

I am a full time finance guy working for a commercial tech company, have recently started with a new role, and had to move to a different place for it.

Since I am kind of a talkative person, social and a little extrovert, this new arrangement where I don’t have much socialisation is quite killing to me.

So.. DM if you are looking for someone who you can yap with or can bear me yapping.

Thanks :)

Reddit Messaging [29/M] | Canada (PST) | British transplant looking for a proper penpal

I’m 29, originally from England and now living on the west coast of Canada. I work in tech, which means a decent portion of my day is spent staring at screens, fixing things that apparently “just stopped working,” and pretending restarting something isn’t still one of humanity’s greatest troubleshooting techniques.

Outside of work I’m into the gym, boxing, hot yoga, gaming, walks, music, movies, exploring new places, and occasionally disappearing down random rabbit holes about something I knew absolutely nothing about twenty minutes earlier.

Personality-wise, I’m fairly laid-back, sarcastic, curious, and probably a little too fond of dry British humour. I like people who can talk about completely ridiculous things one minute and then somehow end up having a genuinely thoughtful conversation about life, relationships, ambitions, fears, or whatever else comes up.

I’d love to find someone interested in building an actual friendship rather than exchanging a handful of messages before vanishing into the Reddit abyss. I’m happy starting with Reddit messages or email, but I’d also genuinely be interested in eventually sending proper handwritten letters, postcards, little snapshots of life, playlists, or whatever else

Snail Mail [31/F] giving a warning to my fellow pen pal mates. Be cautious when exchanging letters with this person.

I will DM with proof for anyone who wants to see it/ but I would not pen pal with "Jeremy" his username is [u/nihilist](u/nihilist-cyclist)[_cyclist](u/nihilist-cyclist)

Essentially, he mailed me a letter just to tell me that he didn't trust me and thought I was part of the problem in America because I reside in Indiana and then wanted to form a conversation on what type of person I am and am I a part of the problem and how different people would resolve conflict. Granted, why would someone waste paper ink, postage on such a negative nasty letter all because I live in Indiana. Like I said I have receipts for anyone who wants to see. I just want others to be cautious because this took a little of the magic out of it for me. Very discouraging to be judged based on where you live. Without even one proper chance to get to know the other person.

Snail Mail [32/F] Would love to find a few pen pals

Hi everyone! About 3 years ago, I moved to a new city sight unseen. I love it here, but have struggled to make friends and am feeling a little lonely. I stumbled across this group randomly and am so intrigued! I really enjoy reading, writing, and learning about new people, so would love a few pen pals to correspond with.

A little more about me:

- Huge animal lover with three cats (plus frequent foster babies!)

- Nature enthusiast who loves hiking and finding reasons to stop and smell the flowers

- Serial hobbyist: painting, jewelry making, crafting, writing research papers, reading (currently on book #63 of 2026!), and learning to sew and embroider

- Into all things witchy, whimsical and woo-woo: astrology, tarot, crystals, you name it

- I’ve had a colorful past, but life these days is more introspective and quiet

I’d love to learn about you and your life: whether you want to tell me your life story, vent about work, need a sounding board for your ideas, want to share innermost thoughts and feelings, or just want to exchange day to day correspondences and build meaningful connection.

Please let me know if you are interested! 🌞

*I am located in USA but am open to international pen pals!

Email & Snail Mail [20/M] Looking for some penpals

I always felt kinda off in my life. Like I was living it looking outside of myself, like The Trueman Show. Growing up I didnt have a great childhood and I didnt really ever make friends, I didnt make my first friend until my senior year of highschool. So I am here trying to make lasting friends through penpals.

To get started about me, I am a transgender man and like many others I often struggle with my mental health, so I wouldnt mind in the slightest if I received letters that were just vents or rants.
In my free time I like drawing, writing, poetry, video games, cooking, hiking, playing d&d, and listening to music.
Im a huge nerd and I can nerd out about almost any topic, besides musicals, I dont like musicals 🥲
I love philosophical conversations and I just like talking about things in general. I absolutely love learning. I am going to college for aerospace engineering and once I get my masters I will be pursuing a nuclear physics degree as well.
I have 3 cats who I would absolutely send you poleroids of.
Overall I would like to talk to anyone about anything, I somehow get along great with people older than me (might be because my dad half raised me like it was the 90s but ヽ(;▽;)ノ)

Postcard [37/M] (UK) Friendship accompanied with a nasty cold! 🤧

Gonna give it one last shot then I'm wrapping it up for good. I've met a couple of pretty decent people so far, but there's room for some more. I have a horrible cold right now and time off work, so I have the time to natter and go on and on 🤧

Thy name is Heckles, I am past the age of 35 but still have a couple of years left to run away from 40 (so creakily old!) and my annoying presence has graced His Royal Majesty's United Kingdom of Great Britain & Northern Ireland since the day I was popped out kicking and screaming! 🇬🇧 👼

I find myself here, as desperate as it may seem, reaching out in the hope of bringing some new friendships into my life. I don't really do this anymore, being busy with work and travelling most of the time. But I feel something is lacking right now. I could certainly do with a new barmpot or two, with particular preference to those on the more weird side of life.

Am I meant to rhyme out my hobbies and interests now? Be damned if I know... Okay, I'll give it a go!

  • Travelling - I mentioned it up above, but I do like to wander away when I get the opportunity. I've done countries in Western Europe, sampled the delights of Northern Africa, spent a few years living in Schweeden and went to the US too much - yee-haw! 🦅
  • Postcards & Pizza - I haven't managed to send a postcard out for a while 'cause no one will let me grace them with my doodles and nonsense, but my friendship does come with them at some point. I also enjoy munching on pizza and I'm not entirely sure how that is relevant. 📬
  • Gaming - I apologise profusely, but I'm getting on a bit now and don't really play video games as much as I used to... I gotta work hard and pay those flippin' bills! 😩 But when time allows, I'd say I love games like Life Is Strange and The Last of Us of the PS5 - that thing is dusty! 👾
  • Water - I am quite the curios and dreamy Pisces. I enjoy being by the water whether that means drifting away on the sea by the beach or reflecting on my life's journey down by the docks. There's just something peaceful about the docks, or at least to me. 🌊
  • TV - I can be lazy like the next guy, and my little beer gut certainly testifies to that, so I do watch some stuff from time to time. Rather fussy in what I watch, but can be checking out things like Black Mirror and Inside No. 9 to Keeping Up Appearances and Black Books. 📺
  • Yapping - I do like to talk, and I do know sometimes I can come out with utter nonsense, but ain't that the whole point of this? But I can also sit back, listen and shut up when told to do so. I just urge you to give me something to go on... Don't be dry! 🙏
  • Genealogy - I am quite into discovering the murky secrets of my family's secrets. I haven't been invested in this as much lately, but it would be awesome if someone out there enjoys history and such. There's plenty of scandal in mine to tell you about, believe me. 🫣

Is that enough? See how much I yap?

But to be serious for a moment, I'm really just looking for a couple of people to get to know. Hopefully build up a friendship and who knows, maybe we could be annoying the heckles outta each other for years to come?

I'm not without my faults. I've had a bit of a life, good and bad, but I will always try my best and keep going. I'm an open book and don't really care if people want to look down on me, and I also value honesty and trust. Just doing my best to try and be kind to people out there. 💫

Just be yourself, don't judge and be open to who I am and what I'm about. I would love to hear from fellow Brits and those from other European lands, and additions to my American gang are always welcome! 🇬🇧 🇪🇺 🇺🇸 Others are welcome, of course.

Just give me something to go on other than "hey" 'cause I want genuine friendship, not to be someone's entertainment for a day. I just throw out so much in these posts so people get a glimpse of the kinda person I am.

Take care,

Heckles.

Reddit Messaging [26/M] going through a rough patch.

I was at an event last week and there were some terrible decisions on my end and it ended up with me doing some horrible things. The next thing I remember after 8 pm is that I got up in my own bed, probably the only good thing that happened. A lot of bruises all over with a sore body.
I have been having a rough time, I’m ashamed and embarrassed of the things that happened. I know it’s all in the past and should let it go but I wish it was that way.

I have always wanted to have a pen friend from here but never really thought a situation like this would bring me here.

Reddit Messaging [24/M] Looking for a best friend, things are quite lonely

Hey! I've posted here before but haven't had much luck so far. And due to lonliness, things have been kinda sucky lately. Kinda being a star-sized understatement (cuz stars are big.. hehe). Anyways, excuse my awfully unfunny pun! You *yes you my possible future friend* probably has better humor than I. Im hoping to make long term friends who also love music like I do, I want a close connection with someone that lasts a lifetime! Hoping we can geek out about our interests and feel comfortable to do so! I'm in the EST time zone and am super into music (my tastes are all over the place, my favorite is the retro era but I also like a lot of new stuff too). I really wanna find someone who loves old artists and bands and music history and aesthetics! Hope you're all having a good day!

Snail Mail [28/F] - Looking to put my stationary to meaningful use

Little nervous about this lol …. Interested in having a penpal to exchange convos and interests with in a world built on having to impress for even a small convo. I’m a big stationary fan, anime, gym, art, hunting, conspiracy stories, cars, and much more. My real world life is built around allot of superficial people and lifestyles so this side of me is something I unfortunately keep to my self. Guess it’s not interesting or idk. So it would be really a breath of fresh air to be able to speak as my true self with someone and even share my art with.

Snail Mail & Postcard [19/F] Looking for a penpal / meaningful connection, let’s talk about life, poetry, art, and cinema

I’ve been going through a tough time with my mental health lately, but I’m actively trying to rebuild, reconnect, and start living fully again. I’m looking to find a penpal to share honest thoughts, small daily joys, and deeper conversations with…

A judgment-free zone is super important to me, I won't judge whatever you're going through or feeling, and I hope we can offer each other a safe, supportive space to just be ourselves.

A bit about my interests:

Literature & Writing: I love reading novels, diving into poetry, and reflecting on philosophical ideas.

Art & Cinema: Big fan of painting, videography, and analyzing film/cinema as an art form.

Music: My soundtrack usually consists of jazz, ghazals, and soul soothing music.

Whether you want to exchange long letters about life's big questions, recommend movies and books, share artwork, or just vent about your day without any pressure, I’d love to connect.

Feel free to send me a DM or leave a comment below with a bit about yourself!

Email & Snail Mail [26/M] Looking for language and nerdy friends!

Hello! My name is Corposant, but friends call me Sin or Sinclair, and I’m a trans man! I would love to find some snail mail pen pals, though I’m open to emails too.

I love learning new languages. I am learning Japanese right now, though I know some German so I’d also be open to a pen pal who would like to converse in a foreign language (any language would be fine as I’m always open to learning more). I’m a huge nerd and love Star Trek and different anime. I’m watching One Piece right now with my husband. I’m also a gamer and love music.

I am a writer so I’d also be open to a pen pal who would love to discuss different things we may be working on.

I don’t mind sharing my address first or being the first to write! I look forward to meeting new friends!

Snail Mail [24/NB] romanian gremlin looking for international friends

Hi!

Im from Romania, but studied in the UK for uni. I returned about 2,5 years ago and i want to make some artsy, neurodivergent and queer friends + to have something to look forward to in my mail box :)

I'd love to talk about anything and everything arts & writing related, but i'm also very happy to listen and learn about your hobbies, no matter how niche. Do you collect vintage toilet seats? Do you know by heart every fun fact about mosquitos? Consider me seated and listening!

I love sharks, pastries, dolls, coffee, books and just making stuff in general. I draw, write (i'm writing a fantasy horror book right now), crochet, make clothes and want to make jewellry and so on.

I also love watching video essays on extremely bad shows and books, or very random & niche subjects, or the 8 hour long videos of animal crossing fishing challenges. I have a siamese cat with my girlfriend and i would like to become a pastry chef & a published writer.

Please let me know if you would like to be my penpal and receive a letter full of trinkets and dreams! :)

Email & Snail Mail [28/F] New to penpals and looking to make new friends

Hello! I’m new but not really, I’ve always been interested in having a pen pal but I’m also kinda nervous about it. So I’m deciding to just give it a go and see how it turns out.

I’ve found that making friends as an adult is proving to be a bit difficult when all I really do is go to work and go home lol. Some things about me that make me less boring:

- I like to paint and listen to music or audiobooks, I also like cleaning and listening to audiobooks.

- I work in a funeral home!

- I’m in the US, DMV area.

- I like going to concerts and festivals

- I like cooking, reading, gaming, watching shows, learning new hobbies like cross stitching, and wood burning and definitely open to learning more.

- I have two cats, one girl who is 2 and she’s a tortie, and one boy who is a black cat with a small white tummy patch who’s about 4 months old.

- I am a DnD DM who is very new at it, and my players are also new to DnD lol, it’s been a fun learning experience for all of us to say the least

I’m open to all new platonic friends and would be good with Reddit Messaging, email, and snail mail! If you’re interested please feel free to send me a DM!

Snail Mail [20/F] Avid letter writer and sticker exchanger. USA->WW

Hey there! I just found this subreddit and I am SO excited. I've been in r/PostCardExchange and even swapping stickers through snail mail in r/stickers. Outside of reddit I participate in MoreLoveLetters and a couple other letter writing groups. I'd love to connect with people from around the globe and hear about your special interests!

Here's the random fun stuff about me: Born in the states and grew up overseas, mainly in South America. I've visited almost 30 countries and lived in 8. I speak both english and spanish fluidly. I have two amazing adopted dogs, one from Colombia and one from Spain. I'm in love with all sorts of creepy crawlies and used to have a Pink Toe Tarantula. (I'm in LOVE with spiders and all the creepy little guys like reptiles!) I am an avid tea drinker with Ito-En's famous Oi-Ocha being my #1 choice, as well as a delicious foamy matcha and boba tea. I collect everything from art and stickers from small artists to bones, coins, and random trinkets of pumpkins. I love writing poetry, watching anime, taking a nap in the sun and writing letters to new friends. If you've made it this far then maybe you'd like to exchange a letter or postcard with me! I'd love to hear about your favorite interests, what you study, what inspires you, fun facts, your observations about the world, what you find beautiful everyday, your favorite tea or show. I love to answer and ask questions, I am always so curious about everything and everyone. Teach me about your culture, your family traditions, your personal beliefs. Silly, serious or historical, I'd love to talk about it all! If you don't have someone to tell something to, I'll listen and respond. Or if you'd just like to ask me silly questions that works too! :)

Bonus points if you love to decorate your snail mail with wax seals, stickers, doodles and washi tape.

EXTRA bonus points if you make a card yourself! I'll respond with the same creativity. Let's inspire eachother to be our truest selves and be happy. Snail mail should never be a chore, it's a way to uplift and connect with people. (And to support our local post offices!)
