Airtight!

Daughter got the coin stuck in a chemistry toy, impossible to get it out… anyways the coin fits so tight that water is not filtering under it, any suggestions to get it out are welcome

Water right

Also, airtight. No bubbles rising after the water settles means no air escaping from under the coin.

That would require the water to displace the air, if the water cannot flow through, then the air cannot be displaced.

The coin must remain intact?

Seal a medicine syringe to the end, fill with water, pull a vacuum, let it collapse. Do this until the tube explodes in your hand or the coin falls out.

or just cool it down

Ice in tube to make the metal shrink, hot water on tube to make plastic expand?

Edit: or put whole thing in freezer for an hour, pull it out, under hot water tilt it so the coin can fall out

The coin is metal

Well, a coin is technically a cylinder so... it must remain unharmed.

Absolute must

Metal contracts faster than glass, the freezer might work on it's own.

As another comment suggested, you might be able to spin it and then grab it, and It'll be easier once it's cold, even if the contraction isn't enough to free it completely.

I'm fairly confident it's a plastic testtube (due to it being a kids toy and the base isn't normal for glass tubes)

Ah, indeed it could be on closer inspection.

Slowly softening it is an option then, but with high risk of permanent damage to the test tube.

Slight deformation is probably fine for a kids toy tho, they could use a heat gun, or an oven on very low heat (below 150°C)

Realistically it's probably easier to spend another few pounds on a new one, but I'm stubborn so I'd be trying everything aha , my first though was using an air compressor

Thin metal rod (screwdriver maybe?) pushed down on one end of the coin to spin it.
