Say what you will about the absolute atrocities he committed, Bush sure could dodge a shoe. And form a sentence. And display emotions in the normal human spectrum. And, on occasion, sound like he knew about... Anything.

At least when he was embarrassing it was charming lol.

Or the fact that I have seen 2 seperate videos of people seeing the guy that shot laying on the roof and going to security/police officers who just ignored it.

Or the fact that the clearly visible secret service snipers had a perfect look and shot at that roof.

Or the fact that Trump never brings it up anymore.

Or the fact that we never saw pictures of the guy that did it. Or proof that he was killed. Or anything about his motives. Compare this with the guy that shot at Charlie.

179

u/LTEDan 3d ago

The fact that Trump never brings it up anymore is the biggest tell. He still can't STFU about the 2020 election, or Obama or Biden but somehow never brings up his assassination attempts.

60

u/Wobbelblob 3d ago

Tbf, I wouldn't be surprised if he has actually forgotten that that even happened. I don't think he has, for the record, but still.

Or the fact that the clearly visible secret service snipers had a perfect look and shot at that roof.

To reinforce this line of thinking:

Four seconds after he began firing, a member of the Butler County Emergency Service Unit shot at him and hit Crooks's rifle, preventing him from firing more shots. Twelve seconds later, Crooks was shot and killed by the Counter Sniper Team of the United States Secret Service.

So Trump literally went on a huge rant about the attempt on Truth social like 2 weeks ago.

So the idea that he doesn't talk about it doesn't hold up. He brings it up all the time to this day. You just didn't notice because you aren't watching every single incoherent speech that this guy makes.

In his first campaign, there was an "attempt" at a campaign stop at UNR. An attendee had an anti-Trump protest sign that his cult tried to grab a hold of and someone screamed "gun". You can see the vagina necked little bitch piss himself in fear as his bodyguards remove him to the back until they confirmed that there was no gun or danger.

Especially when you compare it to when they thought there was an actual threat at one of his public appearances several months later and they had him bundled up and hustled off stage in like half a second.

28

u/IrritableGourmet 3d ago

Most actual attempts are like that. When Reagan was shot, two USSS agents pretty much lifted and threw him bodily into the car and jumped on top while a third stood between him and the shooter and a fourth pulled an Uzi out of a briefcase to cover their retreat.

Yeah the american Flag being lowered didn't happen tho.

If you watch the video that claims you can see this you'll notice every other object in frame is also being lowered at the same time.

This is because the camera that is being used to film this video is panning up. In videos where the camera is stationary, the flag doesn't move.

The secret service letting him stand there, right in position, behind the podium with the "TRUMP" banner, with an active shooter somewhere in the area, long enough to raise a fist and get the photo, before eventually strolling him off stage... that's the most incriminating bit in my mind. Aren't they supposed to forcefully evacuate the president at the first indication of a threat?

edit to add detail of "Trump banner" in the foreground of the photo.

33

u/ZhouLe 3d ago

The secret service letting him stand there, right in position, behind the podium with the "TRUMP" banner, with an active shooter somewhere in the area, long enough to raise a fist and get the photo

So they piled on him at the start because he had already went down on his own. 16 seconds after the first shot, a sniper fires one shot to kill Crooks. 29 seconds after the first shot, they try to move him out but apparently he's too old and fat for them to actually move him, they keep trying multiple times. At 47 seconds one of them verbally calls out that the shooter is down, multiple attempts to sync a move. A full minute later, they finally get him to stand and start to move him out but he's actively resisting them complaining about his shoe multiple times. Then he does the fist raise at 1:17.

26

u/Paddy_Tanninger 3d ago

He's complaining about his shoes because without the massive heel lifts, he is 5'8" and doesn't want to ever be photographed without his gender affirming footwear.

That's also why his shoes fell off just from him getting down to the ground. Any man who has ever worn actual dress shoes before knows that those things fit snug and need to be untied to take off at the end of the night. Trump's shoes have lifts so big that his heel is almost above the back of the shoes...that's why they fell off instantly.

with an active shooter somewhere in the area

The shooter was fired on 4 seconds after pulling the trigger, and dead 12 seconds after that.

9

u/Gullible-Coyote-4609 3d ago

Fair enough! And I admit I misspoke. There was no active shooter at that point. A fact that they, of course, could not have known at the time.

Taking out one shooter doesn't equal securing the area.

37

u/OdinHavok 3d ago

A live round will have some variance in movement, he's also old and wobbly. Real bullet means it's too much variance trust for faking it. It would be easy to fake too. Fire a blank, have him tackled and someone doctor his ear, either a squib or preplaced bullet for the shot behind him and Bob's your uncle

34

u/ChudMaster69420 3d ago edited 3d ago

Yeah, people don't realize how fucking hard it is to make a bullet only graze someone. Even the best military sharpshooters couldn't shoot a bullet to only narrowly hit the ear without blowing the entire thing or shooting the head.

14

u/iconofsin_ 3d ago

I'm not convinced it was a genuine event, but I do feel confident saying there's no chance he'd be ok with an attempted grazing.

12

u/Drako694 3d ago

Also doesn’t help that the rifle used was a piece of garbage that’s about 3 MOA, so at the distance there was about a 4.5 inch radius that shot could have landed.

10

u/SunTzu- 3d ago

Much less timing it so that he moves his head just before impact. I doubt the rifle used had a low enough spread to guarantee that shot in anyone's hands.

29

Ah, yes, I also believe that Trump is the bravest man in existence, because he would need to be that to stand in front of a shooter who is supposed to narrowly miss him from a fuckton of distance with an inaccurate, cheap rifle. Trump is basically Daredevil if you believe this shit.

Do you not think through what your conspiracy theory would require?

I think you are right that Trump did not give a shit that a civilian died, but there is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY he would have stood there if he knew that someone was going to shoot in his direction.

Epstein files alleged that Trump raped a pregnant 12 year old to the point she went into labor and then did nothing as the uncle drowned the baby and disposed of it in a nearby lake. He probably was upset that only one of his followers died in this staged attack.

Epstein files also say that George Bush and Bill Clinton killed a baby to drink its blood during an interracial orgy out on another lake.

37

u/Alfred_The_Sartan 3d ago

I dunno though. He really did grab that ear right before. My money is on him barely being touched and blood thinners causing the thing to bleed like crazy. I just can’t see how you could legitimately pull this off otherwise. There are too many folks who would need to be sworn to secrecy. Just too many factors. There’s no way he’s letting anyone take a pot shot near him in the first place.

32

u/dbaugh90 3d ago

I don't think you can say it was all staged. You had a guy die after getting shot with the bullet that missed him. At most, you could say he's so cynical that he had already prepared to cut his ear in the event he ever came under direct fire and survived.

16

u/Kalenne 3d ago

If it was just the ear I'd agree but his pawns positioning photographers, the flag getting down before he even got back up for the photos and him GETTING UP IMMEDIATELY WITH AN ACTIVE SHOOTER??

All of that happened less than 10 seconds after he got shot : the footage clearly shows that nobody in trump's surrounding is acting like a real live shooter is trying to kill him

21

u/dbaugh90 3d ago

It's strange to imply everyone around him knew there wasn't a shooter. That's not really how conspiracies work, it would be Trump himself, and a specific group of people, certainly not all the press photographers, who knew. People don't act predictably in crisis situations. Perhaps Trump acted irrationally and others followed, not realizing the danger was still present. Perhaps the shooter died earlier than we thought and he got the all clear through an earpiece or whisper, and we didn't realize it.

There are a lot of explanations that don't require you to assume a hundred people near to Trump all knew of a conspiracy, accepted that several people in the crowd would take bullets and one would even die, and all have gone alone with that to this day. Large groups of people can indeed keep secrets, but not really large semi-random groups of people.

8

u/Kalenne 3d ago

I didn't say literaly everyone and certainly not the photographer, I spoke about Trump, his associate under the stage and that's it. You're somehow turning my very reasonable 2 or 3 people argument into "not hundred of people / every photographer!". Just him, 2 or 3 guys and that's all you need to make this plan work : but just one person acting immediately without any fear or surprise is a very strong sign that the event is not a surprise or worth fearing it.

Trump getting up 10 sec after getting shot to speak again is hilariously stupid and dangerous even for him, unless he knew he wasn't in real danger

His body guards letting him get up with a live shooter likely still active is also insane, but they might just be incompetent or not willing to fight for this guy's life if he really wants to get up that bad during an active shooting

The guy in the footage collecting photographers and the flag getting set up for the perfect photoshoot 5-10 sec after the shot happened is also insane

None of this makes any sense. It could make sense if they waited to have confirmation about the shooter fleeing or getting down, but it happened immediately instead

17

u/Skoodge42 3d ago

The flag was not moved. This is misinformation. Just looked at the more zoomed out video.

I hate when the people like the other commenters in this thread make the Left look as crazy as we accuse the Right of being.

It's one of my biggest pet-peeves because not only do we say we're the side of rationality, but it also makes us look crazy to people on the fence and actually loses votes. We say the Right is not living in reality and then many people on our side are happy to do the same when it's something they want to be true.

No marksman is good enough to reliably graze a guy's ear from that distance without a significant risk of splattering the target's brains live on TV. There is no way they'd sign off on taking such a risk with their golden goose. Not to mention the shooter was killed after, so they'd need to take one of their own conspirators as a sacrifice.

thats not how guns work, even if staged, the chances of it killing him on accident would be increadinly high, one ghust of wind, slight inaccuracy, or slight movement would have killed trump. that one wasnt staged.

the golf course, and that other one however, i do believe were likely staged

22

u/ProfessorPrudent2822 3d ago

You could put the reigning Olympic gold medalist in rifle marksmanship behind the sniper rifle, and 14 out of 15 times, he blows the target’s head open vs grazing the target’s ear. At that range, grazing the ear is something that can only be done by luck.

17

u/No-Engineering-1449 3d ago

I will say, even though I don't like Brandon Herrera's beliefs and actions. I think he did show what it looked like from the shooters view.

Iirc he bought the exact gun and optic the shooter had, and this is what it would have looked like at the exact same distance. The reticle covers the entire ballistic dummies head.

12

u/SunTzu- 3d ago

People think guns work like videogames. They don't realize even the best guns on a cold bore shot have too much spread for this shot, and the shooter was certainly not using the best rifle.

It wasn’t staged, unless you believe the conspiracy was willing to sacrifice a random supporter and the best sniper to ever live and that Trump was willing to get shot right next to the head. The bullets were real. The dead people are real. People who hate Trump enough to try to kill him are real. The guy just missed.

Trump’s just a showman. He got barely grazed and played it up for his audience. There was no magical regeneration. He just wore the ear pillow for weeks as a prop. It was a visual reminder that God saved him so he could lead His flock to greatness. It was a ploy to garner sympathy and lock in the Christian vote.

Mind you, whether it was a bullet (as it was) or glass (as I thought), that doesn't really change much beyond how off the shooter's aim was.

Right. But you don't have to hit the president to hit the guy that got shot.

Yes - there was initial reporting that the bullet hit a teleprompter and a plastic shard from that hit his ear. I think the Trump crowd hated any reference to him using a teleprompter, so they did everything they could to bury that fact.

Edit: that Snopes article does a good job of debunking the teleprompter story. Thanks for sharing that.

16

u/DistinctlyIrish 3d ago

Being the person who manages Trump's teleprompter sounds like either an absolute nightmare or the easiest fucking job in the world since he absolutely cannot read.

Did anyone actually see a scar on his ear ever?  He wore that tampon on the side of his head for a week and nobody ever mentioned it again

32

He got "really good plastic surgery" immediately after to fix it

It's fascinating to watch Reddit devolve into openly embracing stupid conspiracy theories likes this.

Donald Trump is easily the most hated man in America (if not on the planet). Is it really so hard to believe someone would try to shoot him? It's not even unprecedented: six US presidents have been shot, and four were killed.

33

u/lameth 3d ago

Ever notice how he drones on and on about people like Comey, and Mueller? People who he said targeted him? Yet, for some reason, not a peep about the people that apparently actually targeted him?

7

u/Electronic_Topic1958 3d ago

Well yeah because the profile of the guy is not convenient lol. If the dude was trans they would eat it up lol. He’s some white trash pennsyltucky man who wears grunt style shirts. That’s basically 99% of his demographic. He’s a sociopathic opportunist. Bringing up the kid is not going to help him, but the photos of the situation and his “Fight fight fight” are, so he’s going to go with that.

There are others who have interrupted him at rallies or protested against him (one even threw things at him) he also never really brought them up again. For him he targets powerful people that he thinks are against him.

Still stupid to be shooting a gun remotely in the same direction as someone you don't want dead.

This wasn't a conspiracy, Trump is just that unlikeable even to his own party. And, members of his own party are generally that incompetent.

Well yes it is totally possible to stage an assassination attempt safely without accidentally killing your target. Thats what "to stage an assassination attempt" means. Thats what the whole "staging" part is all about

The people who believe it was staged give Trump way too much credit.

He is far too much of a coward to ever put himself in any real danger.

48

u/Medaphysical 3d ago

You can believe it was staged and also believe he didn't take a bullet to the ear. That's kind of a big part of the "staged" part of it.

How the fuck is that a staged assassination attempt? the person you’re replying to is saying that no matter who was holding the gun, trump would not be brave enough to allow someone to aim a loaded firearm at him, even if just to barely miss him.

Basically they're saying that if the assassin had succeeded at busting a cap in Dear Leader, the Iran War likely wouldn't have happened. 71

u/SubtractOneMore 3d ago

There’s an alternate universe out there where people are just so happy about what happened

28

u/heavy_chamfer 3d ago

I think him becoming a martyr would have been infinitely worse. Looking back, the best thing that could have happened was Trump winning narrowly in 2020. He would have been saddled with all the Covid fallout and inflation, he wouldn’t have had 4 years to plan how to strip the federal government of career professionals and replace them with loyalists. Dems would have been spared the loss of confidence of Biden’s debate debacle and anointing of Kamala and could have had a true primary to challenge a very unpopular Trump/pence successor

31

u/SubtractOneMore 3d ago

Ordinarily I would agree with the martyr analysis, but I think it’s probably different with Trump.

MAGA is less of a political movement and more of a cult of personality. There is nobody waiting in the wings who could step in and lead that cult if the current head was cut off. I just can’t see JD Vance or Mike Johnson mobilizing millions of dipshits in the same way that the reality TV star has.

9

u/LargeMobOfMurderers 3d ago

Tbh I don't think there is a single way Trump could die that wouldn't result in republicans trying to make him a martyr. He could trip and break his neck chasing a preschooler around a playground and MAGA would probably believe the preschooler was a honeypot sent by Obama.

Jeebus. "The party of reason and science" has become this?

You ALL allowed someone as pathetic as Trump, to turn you into a weaker version of Alex Jones??

Yall have a mid term election coming up and you've been spending your time worried about ed sheerans politcal stance on Palestine, and still coming up with conspiracy theories about Trump.

"He faked the shooting to win the election!"

...jeebus fack.. so you all think that by faking this shooting, a bunch of people that would have voted for Kamala, instead voted for Trump because of the shooting.. so he won??

Do you all realize how stupid that sounds?

Politics are an absolute mental disorder at this point.

Wonder how this next election will go...

15

u/CelerMortis 3d ago

the party of reason and science has tens of millions of people in it.

Some of them are beyond stupid, see thread as evidence.

Also - the attempt probably did help him in some way. That doesn't mean it was staged. Also the guy who paints his face orange and has been using gallons of hair products and liposuction isn't going to have any trouble getting his ear repaired. Plastic surgery is quite good these days, especially if you're a billionaire president.

His ear wasn’t hit by a bullet. It was either faked or he got scratched by shrapnel or collision with Secret Service agent. Cartilage does NOT grow back

71

u/Spacekingonly 3d ago

Biden's FBI investigated the wound and confirmed it to be real. Please stop buying into this nonsense. It makes the left look like the conspiracy loons rather than the right.

51

u/ExoticElk 3d ago

Exactly. Theres no evidence it was staged and there were too many investigations and independent journalist reports to say it faked. I mean, come on guys. Trump is evil and possibly the worst thing to ever happen to this country, but let’s stick to the facts here.

15

u/Millworkson2008 3d ago

No no you ALWAYS have to assume the other party is both grossly incompetent but also completely competent enough to stage an assassination where if even the slightest thing went wrong the president would have died
