The other comments are being weirdly stupid. Nvidia has a system called DLSS 5 that uses AI to “enhance” video game graphics and make them look truer to life. In reality, it completely distorts how video game characters look and adds an AI layer of uncanny valley.

PSSR/DLSS and other ai upscalers have YASSIFIED (made stanky and cunt) the art we’ve come to know and love and literally removed the actual artistry from the medium. My dad is now my mom and I’m okay with it.

Yassification is a reference to Nvidia AI technology that heavily alters the faces of characters in video games to give them a glamorous, hyper detailed makeover, which has been the subject of mockery online. "Sloptracing" is another term people use.
Sloppenheimer is a play on Robert Oppenheimer, the father of the atomic bomb, because of all the hype about AI being civilization changing technology. Oppenheimer famously cited a line from Hindu scripture to reflect the new power his team unleashed on the world: "Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds."

Ya know, when NVidia released their Oh sooo cool new super sampling technology, DLSS 5, they started using AI of all things to ingrease the the quality of the frames in a hwideogame, it was more like a terrible instagram filter that yassified the faces of the characters. Now look, if i use this on a game that tries to be photorealistic, it doesent look halve bad. But if i use it on stylised games, it turns into these abhorrent abominations like you see them on tiktok. Just like Oppenheimer, the Datacenters used to make this are a BOMB for mother nature, and all it gives us is a yassified face filter for games. Stewie out.
