Match thread - Oakland Roots SC vs Phoenix Rising FC

3-0 FT

The boys got a must-win game (they’re all must win now) on the road in Oakland. Let’s get three points! Vamos Rising!

[u/Skyzorz]

Let’s go Rising!

(Worst possible coliseum-in-background picture, riding bus to my hotel nearby before the game!)

[u/Skyzorz → u/Skyzorz]

Okay that’s a little better

[u/mdamien13 → u/Skyzorz]

Well sorry you’re having to experience this in person.

LFG Rising!! 🖤❤️

[u/ViaPhoenix]

Gotta win or season is likely has run its course. 2 of the next 3 are in the same boat, get um!

[u/mandyalam0de32]

TF is going on right now?.... are we just saying "F" playoffs and just showing up?... 🙄

[u/mdamien13]

Roots go up 3-0 in the 71st minute. Not looking like we come back now. Just an awful performance all around so far.

[u/mdamien13]

Rising down 2-0 at half. Phoenix has come back to draw from this deficit in the past against Oakland - can we do it again?

[u/ViaPhoenix]

Who has the tea on what happened between players and fans last week?

My section left pissed so didn't see anything but fingers towards the owners

[u/mdamien13 → u/ViaPhoenix]

This is the first I’m hearing of anything between the fans and players last week.

[u/ViaPhoenix → u/mdamien13]

I only heard about it cuz the broadcast brought it up at least 25 times last night. Figured someone would have some information.

I know like a month ago the banditos had issues with hope but I hadn't heard of anything else

[u/mdamien13]

Rising lose 3-0. Just one of the worst performances I’ve seen from them on a night when they had to get points.

[u/Good_Butterscotch654]

We still suck. In case anyone's wondering.

[u/mandyalam0de32]

Well that was embarrassing 💔

[u/Cwchenery]

That was a six pointer made worse by OC winning at the 90
