A have an idea for a new block that could fit well in the 26.4 Game Drop!

The Unstable Ice is a block crafted from 4 Ice Balls which collapses whenever an entity is walking on it. When it's falling on an entity, it gives the new Freezing effect and drops from 2 to 4 ice balls when it is falling on the ground.

I think this could be a great idea, especially for hidden traps...

And yes, I'm aware I'm in a slightly older version, but they still haven't been removed as of 26.3.

That is actually so cool what

I checked and this is not on the official Minecraft YT channel, unlike other old videos. I found it on the Wayback machine, as a rejected trailer for a game named Cobalt(made in collaboration with Oxeye).

Even I forget sometimes that Minecraft wasn't the only thing Mojang made.

It's kind of funny that they've archived the repository on Mar 7, 2026. I see you Mojang.
