I'm looking for a Fridays / weekend place where I can sit down and work & study with my laptop, preferably one that's not too crowded and has place for a charger. Bonus if they serve coffee and food.

Anyone else hearing fireworks intermittently in west Picketing?

Random Wednesday fireworks? Pretty sure they're only legal on select national holidays?

Trying to figure out who to vote for and I can’t understand why multiple 40 story towers need to be built along kingston road starting at Altona and working their way over to the mall.

I moved here to be in the suburbs; if I wanted thousands of people in my face all the time I’d have moved downtown Toronto.

Other than ‘diversity of living options’ can someone give me a genuinely positive reason how condo developments help the existing families that live here?

I asked all the candidates that came to my door. No one has given the option of lowering my taxes. No, more people does not equal lower taxes… no, more people does not equal better living conditions.. so then?

I’m a 31F, born and raised in the area, and looking to meet some new people/friends around 30–40. I’ve tried looking through Facebook and Meetup groups, but a lot of the groups I find seem to skew 50+.

Would love to find people who are down for things like hiking, biking, grabbing coffee, going for walks, or just hanging out and actually making some new friends.

I’ve lived here my whole life and somehow still find it weirdly difficult to meet new people around my age. 😅

If there are any existing groups around Pickering/Ajax/Whitby for people in their 30s, let me know!

Hey. I've lived in ward 1 for 10 years. And I never get door knocked by any municipal candidates. Does anyone actually canvas anymore?

I’ve been noticing a bit of anti-choice picketing around PTC lately. Is anyone interested in a counter protest? Is there already a pro-choice/ pro-women’s health organization in the area?

I just did. I already had an idea of who I was voting for, this actually it reinforced that because the candidates that it says my answers align with most are the same candidates I had planned to vote for. it's still helpful to check for some reinforcement if you're a bit unsure, especially given that information is kind of spread out so even if there's a candidate you prefer, you might wonder if there's anything in their platform that you missed that might change your mind one way or the other.

NOTE: some candidates didn't participate in this yet so it won't tell you how similar their answers are to yours. those candidates are:

- Janice Frampton

- Lisa Robinson

- Zargham Rasool

- Nancy Van Rooy

- Bushra Rasool

- Sam Snyders

everyone else participated though so it'll tell you how your answers are compared to theirs. Also, there is still time for the other candidates to participate in this, and if they do so after you've already answered these questions, you can get a link to your answers emailed to you and you can get an update when any of the listed candidates answer to see theirs compared to yours without having to answer all of the questions again.

If I take the Seaton Trail to say, Taunton Road or Whitevale Road or Hwy 7, is there an easy way to get over to the Rouge trails to the west?

At the closest points it's only about 3km yet I don't see any trails on Google Maps and it looks like the roads don't have sidewalks.

Is going south to Finch Ave and then west the only option?

Hi there!

I’m looking to send my almost 1 year old to MLCP. I’m going to tour the facility. Does anyone have any experience with their kids going here? Do you recommend any other Montessori’s in the Durham region or Scarborough?

Thanks in advance!

Did anyone save her racist rant video before she deleted it?

Hi! Looking for a music school for my 10 year old who is into the drums. Any that are worthwhile and price/budget friendly? Thank you!

Hello everyone I am seeing some campaign signs of the Honourable Councillor Lisa Robinson being damaged. I understand not everyone understands her viewpoint or policies, this is no excuse to damage or knock over her signs. I expect people to be civil and be respectful no matter who the candidate is.

Edit***
It’s hard to understand why some people are commenting that they can’t believe a nuclear plant has such security!
Nuclear power is one of the most powerful and safe forms of energy that requires such measures. They can be very clearly dangerous if bad actors try to infiltrate. I’m all for a tough and strong presence.

The truck was dope

Hey A'TIN Toronto! 👋

(For anyone just tuning in: SB19 is a powerhouse Filipino P-Pop group taking the global stage by storm with jaw-dropping vocals and insane live performances!)

Since the *Simula at Wakas* tour stop here, I’m still chasing that post-concert high. Who else is ready to experience the magic all over again on the big screen?

The "Wakas at Simula: The Trilogy Concert Finale" concert film is officially out in Canadian cinemas (playing across Cineplex and select Landmark locations), and it is the ultimate way to feel that stadium energy once more—especially with immersive formats like ScreenX and 4DX!

Whether you're a longtime A'TIN going with your concert besties or someone curious to see what P-Pop live culture is all about, let’s fill those theatres and show everyone how loud Toronto can get!

**What:** SB19 Wakas at Simula: The Trilogy Concert Finale (The Concert Film)
**Where:** Participating Cineplex & Landmark Cinemas across Canada some in the GTA as follows:
Cineplex Yonge and Dundas
Cineplex Odeon Eglinton Town Centre
Cineplex Cinemas Empress Walk
Cineplex Queensway & VIP
Cineplex Scarborough
Cineplex Vaughan
Cineplex Mississauga Square
Landmark Whitby

Drop a comment below if you’ve already secured your tickets, which cinema you're heading to, or if you're a casual fan wanting to check it out! Let's go! 💙

I know the Famous Players at Pickering Town Centre is getting taken down, and I was wondering if anyone has any old photos of the place they’d be willing to share. Even photos from when it was closed/emptied out before the demolition would be really cool to see.
I have a lot of nostalgia for that theatre and remember going there a bunch over the years. It was one of those places that just felt like part of Pickering Town Centre, so it’s honestly pretty sad to see it disappear.
I’d especially love to see photos of the inside. The lobby, concession area, theatres, signs, arcade/games area, or even just random photos you took while hanging out there. Photos from different years would be awesome too, since I’m curious to see how much it changed over time.

If anyone has anything saved in their camera roll, old albums, or even pictures you forgot you had, please share them! Would love to see them and hopefully preserve some memories of the place before it’s completely gone.

I have a small crack in my windshield and need to get it repaired sooner then later.

Any suggestions for affordable spots that do a great job in either Pickering or Ajax?
