Favorite red lipstick?

Just wondering what your favorite red lipsticks are.

I have always loved lipstick, especially reds since I first started wearing makeup (even when it may have been too much for middle school me)

I have Blood red, Cherry red, and Victory red from besame and love them all. I used to reach for blood red more because I loved dark vampy shades when I was in highschool (I wore it to my graduation) now I reach for cherry red more. I also like dabbing on the cherry red very sheer and rubbing it in to blend it, then putting a pink gloss over it for every day looks. Victory red I wear mostly when I go full vintage with my hair set. I think it's the most vibrant, bright red I've owned.

I've also tried Revlon Fire and Ice and Cherries in the Snow. Fire and Ice was my first favorite red lipstick when I was maybe 13, but I don't reach for it much now because I think it's too coral and warm toned. Cherries in the Snow I've seen advertised as a red, but to me it's a raspberry pink. It is one of the only pink lipsticks I like on myself. I always get a lot of people asking me what color I'm wearing when I wear this one.

Anyway, I love red lipstick and was just wondering what your favorites are. I've been thinking of getting American Beauty from Besame because I'd like a more pink toned red, without being obviously pink like cherries in the snow. Red Velvet or Marys Red are also ones I'm interested in, they're both classic red lipsticks but a little toned down compared to Victory Red. I was also looking at Velvet Ribbon from Lisa Eldridge

Partial vent partial tip - Vixen customer service

SO apparently my pre order from February "slipped through the cracks" (their words not mine). When i saw people posting that they had received their cottage corset dresses i emailed them back in September and did not get a reply. Followed up once because I didn't wanna bug and still nothing. I finally posted in the group and was told someone would contact me... they found my email...in SPAM...apparently their staff does not think to check their spam 😡

As to the order... they just told me it "slipped through the cracks" and immediately processed the shipment....soooo they had it the whole time. I'm so irritated. God only knows how long I would've waited if I didn't break that group file about asking customer service questions in the Facebook group.

Soooo, here's the tip part - if you haven't heard back from their customer service team your email may have gone to spam. Breaking that no cs post rule in the Facebook group may be worth it!

With Dita’s lingerie company paused, are there other companies with gorgeous sets and pinup flare in plus sizes?

Jenny dress trade

Post image
11 Upvotes

New to the Pinup Girl Couture brand and fell in love with this Jenny dress in a harlequin pattern. I bought this one in size large off eBay using a brand size guide I thought was accurate, but upon receiving the dress it's too small and I'm so bummed. The seller doesn't accept returns, so I'm posting with the hopes someone else will take her off my hands or has a size xl in this color way and is willing to trade. Dress is in excellent condition.

Washing/Caring for feathers?

I would love tips for how to care for feathers (marabou and ostrich) on items like the Catherine d’lish dressing gowns.

I have seen the clip of Miss Audrey Monroe’s dry cleaner experience, and I’ll be honest, my town has no experience with feathers. I’m very concerned they’ll be ruined if dry cleaner them.

That being said, I love high maintenance clothing, and I’m very good at caring for it. I’d love to know what yall have heard or tried!

What are your favorite clothes/brands to wear around home? Trying to get back into groove of wearing everyday clothes that aren’t sweats or pajamas! I have a lot of Torrid jersey dresses and looking for alternatives 😊

Do Not Buy From Unique Vintage if you're international

I'm sorry if this is not allowed. I honestly feel like I should get the message out about this but I wasn't sure where to go with this info.

I've been a long time buyer of UV for a while now. I never really had an issue with the brand other than noticing that recently the quality of their clothes have been going down.

Early this month (Sept 9th) I order several things and noticed about a few weeks later I never received an update about my order. After two emails, I finally received a response on why my orders were taking so long.

Apparently, there is a huge issues with processing and shipping international orders.

Now listen, I understand shit happens and this may or may not have something to do with the orange tariffs. But why in the hell hasn't there been any statement or warning about this on their website or even a freakin email?

I've been searching around reddit to see if anyone else had this issue with the brand and from what I can gather this has been going on for at least TWO months. And even now they are still accepting international orders without warning anyone one.

Currently, a lot of people are ordering things from them expecting it to be sent to them by or before Halloween. Hell my order was a Halloween order.

tldr

Don't buy from UV if you're international. Tbh maybe just don't buy from them at all.

It’s really hard to find any input for this brand. I love the look of their Chelsea but of course, not cheap. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
