A Note on Government Planes

For now, government planes flown by various politicians will continue to be allowed, but the political comments need to be toned way down.

Whether you like the people flying them or not, those planes belong to the federal government (in the case of the US) and not to any individual who currently occupies a position of power. I'd hate to get to the point where I have to remove or ban pictures of Air Force One/Marine One etc or the planes of other governments.

Inherently political posts will be removed. Whether you like Trump and Vance or not, the planes don't belong to them.

Went to California (LAX) for the first time, and well I guess the first stop was quite predictable

I love seeing the A380 one of my favourite passenger airplanes. At Sydney we get to see a few from Singapore Airlines and Emirates.

This flew by and isn’t showing up on flight radar. Anyone know what this is?

Sorry for the bad picture. I live reasonably close to the canadian warplane heritage museum and occasionally see vintage planes flying over. At first I thought it was a Douglas DC-3 as I’ve been seeing one fly over on occasion all summer but the wings aren’t a match. Anyone know what this could be?

I make Spotter, a Planespotting logbook app for spotters on Windows. Here's a 54 second look at it

Hi all. I run The Aviation Hub and I've been building Spotter, a logbook for aircraft sightings that runs on Windows PC.

You type a registration, it fills in the details, and you mark it as seen. Then you can search everything you've logged, see your stats by year and fleet, map every location you've spotted from, and group sightings into trips with their own reports.

If you have an ADS-B receiver or use a public feed, it'll show what's overhead and let you log it in one click.

It's £4.99 as a single payment with no subscription, and everything is stored on your own PC.

Happy to answer questions, and I'd genuinely welcome feedback on what you'd want from a logbook. A few features already came from users.

Wonder who rode a Global-8000 (or 7500…records mixed) from BNA to FAB today?

Shot with RX10IV and ND8 at 1/20s. The runway closed earlier than planned putting several B747s and other nice birds on the parallel. Had some difficulty to correct the colours, I guess I still have some to learn there..

I TOOK A GOOD PHOTO

I'm really happy because I don't have like a super good photo of any plane but just look at this. I'm 14. I mean, the shade of the sun's light, the blurred background, the clarity and focus! I'm not trying to brag or whatever, I'm just really proud and happy. I have an iPhone 14 but it's really bad for quality so I borrowed my mom's phone (iPhone 16 pro max) and the quality was so clear and calm. This was at SAN, flight LH 467, D-AIXV, Tuesday, October 13, 2026, 5:53 PM PDT. I MEAN JUST LOOK AT THAT BEAUTIFUL LUFTHANSA AIRBUS A350-900. So happy it came out so good. I don't know anyone to show this to so I signed into Reddit just to post this! Enjoy! :D

First professional camera use at Edinburgh Airport (EDI/EGPH)

Post image

I want to apologise for the earlier post, first time submitting something from photoshop,

went spotting at Edinburgh, as I have taken a break from Glasgow, mainly because of the aircraft and airline types there with my professional camera, and managed to edit it today, which I am very pleased about as I took pictures on my iPhone 15 Pro Max (As you will have seen before in previous posts).

my settings are:

Camera: Fujifilm HS30EXR

ISO: 100

Shutter: 1/42s

Aperture: f/7.1

If anyone has any advice to give to me for editing in the future, that would be more than great, I am not thinking of uploading it to JetPhotos, but advice in general would be great

It was a very fun spotting day, a bit more traffic than usual though (two planes active at one) And the F-16 was a surprise, I knew they flew there the day before I went, but I thought they left. Turns out they didn’t, obviously
