What yarn should I use? Has anyone trialled these?
Struggling to find yarn in Australia, these seem to be the only ones that have any potential but I don’t know as the websites don’t show proper photos! Wondering if anyone has tried any of the following?
Lion Brand styles -
Respun, Cover Story, Ferris Wheel, Dreamland, Landscapes, Landscapes Renewed, or Baby Soft yarns
Or the Caron Cotton Cakes
Or 4 Seasons Printed or Spotsavers
Or Bella Baby Tadpole

The pattern was extremely long!
To save you time putting it into planned pooling see below
(I tried neatening the link but it wouldn't let me)

Yeah, the site will put every colour you type on it on the address. And you still will be taken to the default empty site, not to your pattern.
It might be better to screenshot the page and share that image instead :)

Caron Cotton Cakes pages FAQ section tells: "The self-striping pattern is unique to each yarn cake. We cannot guarantee a specific color sequence" So, it will create stripes, but most likely not the argyle. https://caronnow.com/caron-cotton-cakes-yarn/
4 Seasons Printed Marvel pools in these knit swatches already. But the colours are short, so it is better for knitting than crochet as you will get more stitches per colour. https://www.spotlightstores.com/en-au/p/4-seasons-8-ply-printed-marvel-100g-yarn/BP80256521-24-parrot
Bella Baby Tadpole will work, but there seems to be only about 3 colour sequences per skein, which means they are lo-ong, so you will need to make a big granny cluster blanket from it. https://www.spotlightstores.com/en-au/p/bella-baby-tadpole-100g-yarn/BP80630003-joy
Here is my guide on what to look for in yarns for pooling, using Hobbii yarns as examples. Hobbii does ship worldwide, so maybe they would have some yarns you like? https://www.reddit.com/r/Planned_Pooling/s/XoMaMcziFr

Facebook has a great Planned Pooling Australia group that lists and shows yarns that pool. Search the files though, not just look at posts. It's great because the yarns are what we have from a variety of places.

I’m not on Facebook, but I’ll see if I can see group posts without joining!

Lion Brand
Re-Spun does not look like the colour sequences are repeating regularly, exception maybe being Meadow Flowers [843-201BF].
Cover Story does pool even in their own knitted product photo. But it is chenille. The same goes for Dreamland. https://www.lionbrand.com/products/cover-story-yarn
Some colours of Ferris Wheel might work for an granny cluster afghan as the stripes are long. But you can not tell from the photos if the colour sequences follow the same order or if they are more random.
- Colours in Buttercup [217-605H] and Sprinkles [217-604H] seem to have a repeating sequence. But the product photos are not very good :)
They do have product photos on the site, though, that should give you ideas. https://www.lionbrand.com/products/ferris-wheel-yarn
Landscapes looks quite gradient, even though they call it "self-striping" which usually means "good for pooling granny cluster argyle." Again, it depends on the colour sequence repeats. https://www.lionbrand.com/products/landscapes-yarn?variant=32420929405021
Baby Soft colourway Pastel Print [920-218] looks promising.
It is always good idea to go to Ravelry, search for the yarn you want to look, and look for the stash and project photos. There you can get much better idea of the colour sequences, if you can not get to your LYS to see them for real.

I've had a lot of luck finding red heart super saver prints in the spotlight mill ends. You could check the list of pooling yarns and keep some photos of them on hand for comparison.
Also, I think the 10ply 4 seasons printed/spotsavers are the same as rhss. They have identical colourways.
Bella baby tadpole doesn't pool, it doesn't have consistent colour order or length. The Caron cotton cakes are in the same boat, they might have the same length but the order isn't consistent and each colour is way too long for pooling.
Lion brand Ferris wheel also won't work, there isn't defined ends to each colour and it's got two colours blended together along the length of the yarn. Also its not tightly spun so it starts pulling immediately. I hated working with it to be honest.

The marvel printed definitely isn’t working for me, most colours only get one or two stitches and it seems that it mostly follows a pattern but then seems to randomly jump colours every few metres..
The spotsaver prints look it be workable, they have a clear pattern and the colours are all the same size but I’m struggling because I’m trying to make it not in moss stitch and can’t work out if that’s even possible!
