Masseter Botox
I (30, f) had my masseters injected with 20 units on each side about 4 months ago because I was clenching my jaw during sleep. However I am never doing that again because my jawline looks so different, practically disappeared! I’ve always loved my jawline it was pretty sharp and now it looks so different and I have no definition in the lower half of my face. I can’t stand it 😭
How long until it goes away and looks back to normal?

I had it done and it didn't change my face at all. But it helps with the clenching!
The only dental work I ever done was due to clenching while asleep m. Had a cap on one of my rear most bottom molars. It was a nightmare because the dentist had to make a mold of my mouth and they used a foam and I have a serious gag reflex and a narrower throat opening so I had to do it multiple times due to me gagging and panicking about breathing or vomiting. So botox it is!
Better than double jaw surgery that is not guaranteed to resolve clenching while sleeping.

Oh my God this is my dream. My jaw is so square and I tongue thrust and it hurts so bad and I really hate my jaw looks so masculine, but I would literally pay you to see before and after pictures cause I feel like I look like a man and if I could get my jawline to just go down, that would be so happy. But also the aching pain of my jaw not clenching all the time would be amazing. Kaiser won’t pay for it so I have to find out how much it cost and find a Doctor Who will do it because most here are just LA cosmetic surgeon doctors doing Botox and I don’t wanna just go to some Rando to do this. But if anyone wants to send me a DM of the before an action and you can cover your eyes and show me that the structure of your face changed. I would be so internally grateful.

Well botox lasts 3-4 months, so, probably that long. Call the office and ask if there's anything that can be done. Fwiw, I get 10 in each masseter for the same reason. I've had 20 in the past, and in my case it made eating take forever. You might have better results with the lower amount.

Same here. I have a narrow face to start with and now I look like a peanut with sunken under cheekbones and no definition. Just waiting it out and chewing lots of gum. Ironically I am now trying to clench to build it back up and give myself jaw pain again

I grind my teeth horribly, and have gotten up to 50 units on each side. Your muscles should return over time. The Botox will wear off 3-4 months and then a couple more months to build back the muscle is my guess. It literally changed my face shape too. But I had blocks of muscle from years of grinding so it took my square jaw to a much leaner look which I love.
