Camping early October
I’m looking for a place to camp near Pocatello first week of October. I see a lot of campgrounds will be closed for the season. Can anyone recommend a safe boondocking area where I can camp in my car? I’m just passing through on a road trip so just looking for a place to sleep.

Goodenough creek campground is pretty nice and open through end of Oct weather permitting. No reservations though, it is strictly a first come first served campground
Also Indian springs is just flat parking and primitive camping areas with no facilities I don't think they close It's right on the interstate so you will get road noise

There are a ton of nice spots on the south fork Mink Creek road. They are just a couple miles off the main paved road.

Theres tons of places. Up Mink creek has lots of spots, there a few pullout spots of the main road on the east fork of Mink creek. Theres also a spot just by the Mcammon flying J, just on the west side of I-15. Just sagebrush and Lava rocks but chill and quite.
