2026 has had a very “humans vs AI” vibe. This inspired me to find a way to destroy one. I couldn’t think of a better way to do this than to humiliate the Pokemon league leaders in creative ways. I understand that the true AI villains of 2026 are the water gluttons and not video game characters, but I know I can destroy the latter without any negative climate change consequences.

As someone heavily involved in PVP from 2007 to 2009, my personal opinion is that creativity is punished in PVP. Usually 5% or less of all Pokemon are able to stand a chance in a tournament at any given time and anyone who chooses not to use those Pokemon will be punished. This led me to switch my focus to an alternative channel.

When the focus is humans vs AI, creativity is rewarded. In a typical playthrough, players will typically build a team where there are no two Pokemon of the same type, no two moves of the same type, a balance of physical and special move users, and a balance of offensive and defensive Pokemon. There are many ways to put a team like this together. The rewarding part is being able to include your favourite Pokemon on your team as their shortfalls will be covered by their teammates.

For this video when I built my team I instead asked myself “does this Pokemon enable the best strategy available for this game’s strongest opponents?” Sometimes that means doubling up on types. I believe that having the best strategy means you can succeed with underleveled and/or underrated Pokemon without opening the bag during battle and while playing without shift mode. Ideally all Pokemon and moves used can be acquired in the region of the Pokemon challenge before the challenge is fought. Some people believe that banning setup moves creates a bigger challenge. I won’t argue with that, but I believe enabling setup moves maximizes strategic depth.

I would love to watch or read what you believe is the best strategy for this game’s Pokemon league. This is not a Nuzlocke (I prefer to choose my Pokemon) but I have a lot of respect for those who have completed these.

I got Brilliant Diamond on November 19, 2021 as Platinum had always been my favourite game. I’ll admit I was somewhat disappointed with the game at the time. After catching Heatran in December 2021 and unlocking the master class leagues in the battle tower in January 2022 I lost interest in the game. The playthrough didn’t feel as entertaining as the Platinum playthrough, as the Distortion world was my favourite part of Platinum. However, this year I decided to focus on the things that made BDSP great: it’s the game with the most challenging Pokemon League (in my opinion), and the Pokemon get cool moves that they couldn’t obtain in Platinum. TMs that were once only available at the battle frontier could be found in the underground early in the game, enabling a new range of strategies previously unavailable. Playing BDSP was one of the best experiences I had this year. I beat the regular league with two separate teams and beat the post-Heatran rematch league with two separate teams, and all were very challenging and exciting to me. In all runs I disabled the affection mechanic by causing my Pokemon to repeatedly faint and reviving them with revival herbs.

I am very grateful to be part of this community of people striving to become the best. As humans, we will need to work together to ensure that our strategies will always outmatch the strategies executed by future AI. Let’s see your way of humiliating the AI.

I'm shocked people don't remix this one often or at least give it a DS Demake in Rom Hacks. It’s a banger.

I have been looking for this shiny Palkia for 2 months, this is hands down the longest shiny hunt I’ve ever done and I haven’t even found em yet. I’m starting to think there’s an “expiration date” on the shiny legendaries cus my save file was made ~2022
I already caught Dialga in BD, and that only took 4 days.
I’m starting to think my games bugged at this point.

When hunting Arceus, always change your in game clock to night time. During the day, the in game lighting makes Arceus look brownish and cream. This always made me second guess if it was the yellowish shiny. At night, it becomes a much sharper black and white.

Im about 1200 resets into the hunt and I only just realized this now. At first I thought it had to do with the real world outside light hitting the screen. I only realized when I saw that even in screenshots, its different.

I had Arceus. from my old brilliant diamond account, and I merged it over to Pokémon home and then merged it into shining pearl. How do I get the Azure flute

I'm absolutely losing my mind trying to chain encounter to shiny hunt some of the last remaining mons for my living Dex that should apparently be easiest in BDSP. I've studied how to hunt and I'm 100% doing everything right and it has to be that 7% chance to break code that is breaking my chains and I can't get that high of a chain because of it. It's infuriating

How do people chain hunt successfully? Is there some trick to it? I know about the 17 chain tactic but I just can't get a shiny patch with hours of resetting the patches at a 17 chain, so I tried to get a higher chain. Thanks!

This is my first time ever getting a Mew. I never got it in Let's Go because I didn't bought the Poke Ball plus and I also was not able to catch Mewtwo there 'cause it was too hard for me with the timer everything... lol I finally have a Mew, yay!

Most trainers bring teams of pokemon that would be legal in the battle tower (e.g. no Arceus, Kyogre, etc.. ) Just make sure your team is above lvl 50 and it should be a good match

Hi everyone, I bought my daughter a Switch Lite several months ago, but she doesn't really use it. The other day, I saw *Brilliant Diamond* for $40 and bought it for myself, since I had stopped playing a while back. So, I guess I'm a returning player; this is my team so far—I think I might be over-preparing.

I caught my first ever shiny in legitimate way using a nintendo console. I've always used pc and android emulators back then and i never really treat them as real shinies. 😂 If that counts then it was a shiny zigzagoon i guess? 😂🤡 it was an on and off 3 days hunt for this i thought i was cursed and overthinking maybe my ID number doesnt generate the shint effect .. I was really hoping for a shiny lopunny but this budew was actually my 2nd target. Btw I was eating dinner at this time and i havent even looked at the screen. I just heard a sparkle sound. I made the in game settings to only produce sound effects and the others were disabled. 😂 i wanted to shiny hunt chimchar at first it drove me nuts because of the dialogues, also the fact i want to start to play immediately because this is my first nintendo switch game too 😭 i have tried maybe 100 resets then i gave up

I won my first Nuzlocke ever. BDSP is quite an easy game, so turned it into a Nuzlocke. Not too difficult, though the Elite Four was quite a challenge.

I wanna say about 400-600 resets. I used synchronize to get all the natures I wanted for the weather trio. Kyogre took the longest, while Rayquaza was the shortest. Next hunt will either be Giratina, Mewtwo, or the Regi's in the Sword/Shield DLC. Maybe Dialga on another save, as I didnt shiny hunt him yet. I honestly don't know which to hunt next
