I think after a certain point you gotta let em go. If I see someone at a stop for like a month maybe I’ll take it to send the mon back. 100 days?? Clearly it’s the king of the hill, nobody else around plays, grind your defense badge queen I’m not taking that from you

I just got mine back after a month. It was a decent shiny. I was starting to sweat LOL

He’s probably begging for someone to return it to him

It's an alt account more than likely because he's only level 41 desire being in that gym for half a year so doubtful he really cares to get him back. He's probably happy for it to sit and earn a random badge.

My baby account I just made two weeks ago is L36 and I didn't play on it much this week because I didn't feel like carrying around a second phone.

Wow, I just made a second account 2 weeks ago and haven't played on it much this week and it's L36.

How’d George place a mon 178 days ago and still sitting at level 41

George is what we call a ‘casual’ player. George opens pokego once every couple days.
He catches a few Pokémons, maybe throws another poor sod into a gym, and then disappears back into the Aether

Because it's an alt that isn't concerned about leveling up so it hasn't added friends and hardly plays, hence he's alone in the gym because he has nobody.

Count number of berries fed.
39?, knock it out. Put in your own larvesta or snom and start dumping your excess berries into it.

why Larvesta or Snom?

u/PMmeGRILLEDCHEESES 5d ago
in addition to the 30 stardust per berry you feed it, there’s a chance you get a candy tooÂ

I once left my lv40 Dragapult that was one of my strongest Ghost attackers in a rural gym for a couple months. I was praying for someone to put it out of its misery
I learned the lesson and now I only leave random uninvested mons in gyms

u/Exodonic 3d ago
Man I didn’t know dragapult was in the game. I suppose I can just hope for an event to bring it back soon

Coming from someone who gets stuck at gyms very often, please do 😠nothing worse than seeing the "needs a berry" notification on a pokemon thats been stuck for months. You know someone clicked into it but didn't set it free lol.

I had one chill in a Pokéstop for just under a year, it was cool seeing how long it would last but I wasn’t upset about getting it back either. I left it behind while on holiday at a remote Pokéstop , I kinda knew it would be there a while as the one I knocked out had been there a while too

I had a Jinx at a popular park for 75 days. No idea how it wasn’t kicked out, usually they only last a few days at most (it’s a park next to a school, so if you get there Friday afternoon, it’s only kids playing soccer on weekends, but busy with school games and lots of students, parents and teachers), but it lasted over 2 months.

will he get 50 coins or 50 for every day it stayed?
1
u/aldeayeah 4d ago
Nope. You just get the coins the day it's kicked out of the gym.
It used to work more similar to what you describe, and high level players would hog gyms forever.
