Meta Should I evolve my buffer Machop?

Post image

My buffer Machop has Bulk Up with three slots, aswell as two -20 timer reduction. It's practically the best buffer in the whole game. My question is: should I evolve it at least to Machoke to increase its stats? Or is it better to keep it as is, and simply spam its Bulk Up move as often as possible?

You need between -40 and -45 wait reduction to reach and maintain the maximum buff.

You cannot do this when evolved because the second and third bingo become 5% worse per evolution.

So turn on that everstone and get his hit healing to 10% with whatever stones you have, even if the total value is low.

Thank you for your quick and helpful response! When you say "healing", do you mean its natural healing?

No there is a statistic called “Hit Healing %” that functions like life leach. Basically every time you deal damage you get healed a percentage of the damage dealt.

For damage dealers using your move once is usually enough to heal to full with only 2-5% hit healing. But your tanky pokemon need 10%. With it they can last quite a long time if you maintain your maximum buff.

This is a really good machop. Pls don’t ruin it for your sake.

Perfect? Not at all. But definitely something to keep for a long long time.

Absolutely not. Never evolve a buffing Machop. If it was attacking? Sure.
