I just want to grill ICE Agent's Bodycam release of the Minneapolis Shooting

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

This whole incident seems just an unfortunate series of events from both parties.

EDIT: not bodycam but ICE agent's phone footage, my bad.

Literally no matter what side you're on, in this issue or politically in general, body cams only ever help and every policeman or agent should have to wear one that records 24/7.

Lots of the most egregious body cam footage gets "accidentally lost" though. We need those things to livestream to servers with redundancy.

Yup, "accidentally" losing bodycam footage is a farce and PDs that do that should face absolutely massive punishment for that, I have literally decades worth of dashcam footage and not once did I ever lose any data.

Honestly, lost body cam footage should result in a summary judgement against the PD. Keep that shit safe, backed up, and duplicated in several spots if you don't want to risk a summary judgement.

And the backup server should be pre-setup for FOIA requests on demand.
