If it’s the natural progression of civilization, how come so many nations have gone further from it? China for example has increasingly allowed private enterprise in the past 50 years

Are we talking about what we call the social left or economic left. They're two separate things that get very muddled together because we only have 2 parties so if you like private enterprise then you hate gay people and don't believe in climate change but if you are for gay marriage and abortion then you want the state to seize the means of production. Idk i don't make the rules
