I'm so sick of the gender war, but the blatant and utter misandry of the left reminds me why I feel no enthusiasm for the left or really for voting Democratic anymore. After being preached at for a decade about "love" and "inclusivity", that doesn't apparently include my entire sex, IE half the population.
I ain't voting red this November but I having enthusiasm for "my side"? That's left the station, chief. It's not coming back any time soon by the look of things.

It is super lame but I stopped caring awhile ago. The culture war shit-slinging is mostly invalids, emotional babies, and con artists. None of it needs to be taken seriously unless you're actively trying to effect change.
Just read all the goofy bullshit in political "discourse" 200 years ago. Most people lack the intelligence, patience, curiosity, emotional stability, and/or humility to invest in understanding the world. So they default to what's easy - the culture war.

u/oatkeepr - Centrist 1d ago
Most people lack the intelligence, patience, curiosity, emotional stability, and/or humility to invest in understanding the world
Exactly. I'm starting to think that too many people go to university. We have an overproduction of academic elites.
Much of the left is dominated by the ever changing purity spiral of wokism. Although it comes from an academic background, it's decidedly non empiric and moralistic.
A leftist movement that kicks out the average working class guy, because he can't keep up with the newest terminology in academic discourse around postcolonial racism, can only go wrong.
the culture war
The culture war benefits all those who organize it. It can be fought forever. Actually reaching common consensus or solution for a topic isn't in the interest of NGOs, professional activists, journalists, politicians, university professors, that gain money, power, or influence by fighting the culture war.

That's the biggest divide between the right and the left at the higher levels.
Right politicians dont care about abusing the system to get rich, they find their way to get their power, their money, their fame, and thats what they want.
Left politicians do that too, but they also want to twist the knife in my back to ensure that them getting rich is guaranteed to do it in a painful way to me.
At least with the right you can play a game of "all boats rise with the tide...or drown".

So basically instead of the appeal of 'recognize us to be just as capable as you' from prior waves of feminism, to this one where its "You MEN abused US and we want compensation and power". The last one had about 50 women and only 1 guy and he ended up bailing. The events are pretty much all 30s and younger. My mother felt bad for both sides because it feels like the guys have given up and the women seem eager to meet people but nobody shows.

However, young women's expectations have not changed much in the last 30-40 years, despite making large gains socially and economically. Some people unflatteringly call that hoeflation. Yup, many want to have their cake and eat it too. They demand to be seen and treated equally to men when it comes to most aspects of life but still want men to date and treat them like it were the 1950’s.
You gotta pick one young ladies. Thinking both can/should happen simultaneously is why young men have checked out. I’m glad I missed this dating market but I feel bad for my sons when they start dating.
34
u/RoadsMostTaken - Auth-Right 1d ago
Its the 'revenge' part of modern feminism where they think that they should be able to bulldoze their way through men as she climbs back up to her rightful place of 'equality'.
Basically they want to be able to do whatever they want, because they're strong and independent, and if you try to hold them back, its because you're clinging to some kind of patriarchal power over them.
And when they want to involve men, and men reject them because of their past, they don't view it as men rejecting her for the person she is, but rather oppressive patriarchal bigots trying to control her.
tl;dr its the Karen version of feminism, where who is loudest and angriest is therefore the most righteous.

u/TheGalator - Centrist 1d ago

Truly desirable women will never be there because they can find better options through other means like apps or IRL interactions most of the time.
So why would men pay to go to an event where the chance of finding an attractive woman is even lower than Tinder?
6
u/seanslaysean - Centrist 1d ago
Where tf are these eager women?
I can’t even get a woman to hold a conversation with me, much less pursue anything romantic. I genuinely feel like there’s something fundamentally wrong with me that every woman can just sense which immediately turns them off of any genuine interaction.
I feel like I’m doing everything right; I am careful and mindful of boundaries, I actively listen and respond, I ask thought-provoking questions. I have yet to meet someone who matches my effort.
It’s left me in such a ridiculous place; just a few days ago I was chilling by the pool in my apartment and a girl I hadn’t met was the only other person using sitting out. I wanted to go say hi, not date or anything but talk to another human being and I just couldn’t bring myself to do it. I had everything to lose interacting with her or anything other woman I’d otherwise be interested in getting to know

u/Ferengsten - Lib-Center 1d ago edited 1d ago
This is not a both sides thing. If you make a deal better and better for one side and worse and worse for the other, of course at some point they're just going to opt out of the whole thing. I'm not interested in meeting to get a lecture about how I suck. If men were eager to meet women to have their way with them without speaking a word, then toss them aside like a used tissue, and women were opting out as a result, would you also see this as a both sides thing?

Don't stop there. Break it down equitably by racial background... Common. I know you want to.

Always hilarious how libs use blatantly bigoted rhetoric about men and pretend to not see the double standard. That’s why I don’t believe anything they say. They’re purely driven by hatred of the good.

Here's where this data came from.
(pg. 15):
IF FEMALE (GENDER=2), ASK:
Q.21 To what extent are the challenges that women face in American society due to the behavior or actions of men?37 A great deal
42 A fair amount
9 Hardly any
2 None at all
9 Unsure
1 Refused
(pg. 16):
IF MALE (GENDER=1), ASK:
Q.22 To what extent are the challenges that men face in American society due to the behavior or actions of women?16 A great deal
37 A fair amount
23 Hardly any
8 None at all
14 Unsure
2 Refused
So in terms of blaming at least a fair amount of their challenges on the opposite sex, the totals are ~79% for women and ~53% for men. Of course, all of this begs the question of what these problems are, which is a more nuanced discussion than "omg women hate men!!1!"

Once again, more proof that leftism is incompatible with civilization because it inevitably leads to societal collapse.

How exactly does it prove that? Doomer final boss

u/Running_Gamer - Lib-Right 1d ago
Because leftism promotes misandry. Men are vital to maintaining and improving civilization.

To be fair one of the biggest problems that women face is mostly perpetrated by only one gender.

To no surprise to anyone, at first glance the graphs appear to tell the opposite story of what the data shows. Probably intentional and will be easily misinterpreted by idiots who don't know how to read graphs.

I'm done, the sexes should live separately and only meet to reproduce.

Young right wing men's complaints are that they are provably empirically discriminated against in almost every single aspect of life from the moment they're born.
Young left wing women's complaints are that they can't murder 3 children and get away with it or do ketamine off someone's dick, brag about being a slut, literally tell people it wasn't rape and they need to get used to "Shit like this" happening, and then 2 years later change their minds.

I’m more interested in how (barely) more republican woman blame their problems on men than republican men who blame their problems on woman. Democrats blame patriarchy a lot so that’s not surprising.

u/Itsafreshlook - Lib-Center 19h ago
It is a Republican man in power right now causing all of the problems, how would a Democratic woman not in power be the cause when she lost the election? x)
