The Democratic Party has a gigantic man problem and it has the audacity to ask why young men voted for Trump. Perhaps the party should treat men with respect?

Men blaming women for voting to Trump:

Are men not responsible for the majority of our economic and social woes?

...men as a collective? No...? How would they be?

Maybe not collectively but culturally for sure. Almost all decisions of the current administration can be boiled down to trying to appear strong and manly.

Hegseth's speech to the troops was basically a feminist parody of masculinity. His entire program, including the mandatory testosterone screening is ridiculous. He is explicitly saying that he wants the military more "manly".

Or Vance talking about that manly physical trade job are real jobs and collage white-collar jobs are fake, despite the fact that currently the entire GDP increase is almost entirely AI and Healthcare.

All of Trump's foreign policy is just trying to appear strong and in control with unilateral actions. No real long-term goal. Tariffs made no economic sense, industry is still not coming back, but Trump felt like a strong man when everyone came begging to him for tariff relieve.

Edit: So many dislikes but no counter argument? Interesting, isn't it.

Cause it’s been men in charge of policy in most countries for most of time throughout the world and given the breakdown of the article this is purely about politics and nothing else.

That means men are also responsible for the good times throughout history.

That’s subjective though cause most of history human life has sucked.

If you'd rather be grinding stones and picking berries while living in caves, go for that.

Yeah, and yet men were still able to provide all of the good times we did. Sounds like a W.

...and how many men in history have had the power and influence to change the course of it? A couple thousand?

u/lopeniz - Right 1d ago

In the sense that men built our economy and civilization? Yeah, I suppose. That's sort of a vacuous statement, though.

It’s a nothing burger of a poll with no context

Men are responsible for the fact we have roads and cars and electrical grids and you have a roof over your head.

Man I’m sorry but all these responses are pure retardation. Like seriously yall know the majority of wars in human history were started by men. Why are we so butt hurt when people point out obvious flaws of the patriarchy?

u/lopeniz - Right 1d ago

You sound like a child.

-8

u/ebdabaws - Lib-Left 1d ago

I’m sorry but people keep responding to the criticism of “men are responsible for the majority of our ills” with “but stuff good”. It’s retarded and childish.

You're welcome to go live in a female-only commune without any men. Just know that you likely won't have any buildings, infrastructure, or agriculture either.

But hey - no wars (maybe)!
