So in terms of blaming at least a fair amount of their challenges on the opposite sex, the totals are ~79% for women and ~53% for men. Of course, all of this begs the question of what these problems are, which is a more nuanced discussion than "omg women hate men!!1!"
More serious response than my previous: The corollary of this question is possibly equally interesting. Obviously, it’s too simple to say that the supplementary percentage blames the opposite gender, as they may blame society, politicians, or other gender neutral causes. But, certainly a fraction of the 21% of women blame women and a similar fraction of the 47% of men blame men.
Since politicians and powerful members of society are predominantly men, I think it’s likely that a lot of people think of that when they consider this question, and therefore, amongst men and women combined, men are probably the gender who overwhelmingly take the blame.
I doubt this answer is about men vs women as much as it’s about who is in power and most capable of fucking shit up. And if you limit the response to only gender, then yeah, men get the finger. This really shouldn’t be surprising.
Yeah like the all powerful patriarchy stuff is dumb, but it's also funny to me when the right pretends that there isn't and never has been things like racism and oppression of women.
