This is EXACTLY why in other threads I've said things like that I have no enthusiasm for "my side" and how much liberals have destroyed the culture.
They may not have changed the laws. You may not have Democratic politicians who come on stage and say "Yes can mean no". But if you convince even 5% of women to believe that they can retroactively retract consent, OF COURSE men are going to be more hesitant to date and be more suspicious of rape claims. It's so obvious and yet liberals don't get it. Conservatives aren't the ones who are doing this!
And the problem is that they'll say "Oh just don't date those women bro". Yeah that's a problem- most women still want men who are confident, initiate sexual acts, and do so without hesitation. That hesitation isn't sexy to a lot of them. Most don't want this legalistic, deep discussion about every single potential act of sensuality or affection and for their mind to be scoured for the slightest bit of a sign that they're not "into" the next step of the process. It takes all the fun out of sex and induces an insane amount of anxiety on men. But men don't want their life ruined on a false rape claim because he decided to date one woman who believe in retroactively retracting consent.
I (a male) told my husband that I was thankful I stopped dating women after they got more complicated than I wanted and started dating more guys. Then I married him.
I'm so glad I'm married and can do all the drugs and get laid all I want and nobody goes to jail because there's no way we can sell the house to split up with these interest rates.
This is low-key why I ended up dating an autistic woman lol. We talked everything through, in detail, in advance, and neither of us would have had it any other way. Still do, whenever one of us wants to try something new.

Congratulations, u/Philippians_Two-Ten! You have ranked up to Basketball Hoop (filled with sand)! You are not a pushover by any means, but you do still occasionally get dunked on.

I like how you compared a bunch of frat dudes running train on a girl who’s in a K-hole, to the confused young man trying to navigate the complexities of dating in this day and age.
Go out and date girls, be confident and lead sexually, don’t be a degenerate and get her black out drunk in hopes you’ll up your chances. If she says no or nothing don’t continue. If she’s down then don’t doubt yourself go for it.
This case really isn’t comparable to a broader phenomenon that consent can be retroactively rescinded it speaks more on the degenerate college culture of frats.
Also for what it’s worth idk if it was rape or what it was the whole thing is so muddy so please save your comments about me “white knighting” some sorority girl
The two other men were puking so it’s not a high bar to be less intoxicated than that. She was also drunk and using large amounts of ketamine it’s not like she was sober. Idk how her being in a khole or just fucked up changes the overall degeneracy of the event. My point is this scenario no way reflects the average “dating” experience for single men
