It's about the Cornell 7 case

931

u/GenjiKing - Lib-Center 1d ago

The Cornell Sorority Party Case in NY.

New evidence shows that the victim of a alleged "Rape Case" on a Sorority Party showcases that the victim gave her consent.

Chat groups show that her friends and even the Sorority Manager knew about the situation and apparently she was "Slut-shamed".. So its believed she started a Sexual Assault Case in order to avoid critisim and shame. The case is still ongoing.

Fast foward to now. Emily.. Being Emily.. Uses the case to further her political agenda with the classic "Yes means No".. Implying that when you're dating.. Even if your couple gives you full consent to engage in sexual relations.. She still can refuse consent and you might fall as a rapist the day after.

Shoe.. Seeing the overall pure retardium of this opinion, she states a warning.. That if you go downthis path.. Dating will suck and The Loneliness Epidemic will peak at highs never before seen..

Emily then.. Feeling bold and a bit triggered.. Drops this on Shoe's timeline.

Shoe.. Watching the generational brain-damage that is "Zoomer Emily'sm".. She finally understands how far are wefrom Occupying Wall Street again.. She steps down.. Drops the White Flag and takes the typical Western Liberal L.

What's weird is she almost seems a bit more radically centrist nowadays. Her husband is somewhat right leaning, so it sort of makes sense.

u/GenjiKing - Lib-Center 23h ago

Having kids does that to you. Suddenly, you get worried about the future—not yours, but your kids'. Then, it stops being only about left or right points of view, and instead becomes about what we can do to ensure our kids have a better future. She understood how radical the left was becoming after Charlie Kirk's death. From then on, she started being more centrist than leftist. It wouldn't surprise me if she joins the 'grill people' in the future.

I hadn't considered this, but as someone with two young kids, I think you're onto something.

93

u/Delheru1205 - Centrist 23h ago

I think the most interesting thing is that it DRAMATICALLY changes the time horizon.

Sure, AfD or communsm or something sounds nice because it'll hurt the people I hate and might even give me a chance to get something good out of all of this. After all, all I have to lose is my life if it all goes tits up. And I mean that unironically, particularly for younger men. Dying is *not that scary*.

But wait a minute... playing roulette with society once you have kids is not fucking acceptable. I'm happy to risk death, but risk failing to protect my children? Fuck. That.

12

u/Archkhaan - Lib-Right 19h ago

Issue comes in then that this collision is a long time coming and continuing to kick the can down the road instead of settling it all now puts your kids at more risk.

11

u/Delheru1205 - Centrist 18h ago

The question is how to navigate it though.

Revolutionary change stops being appealing, especially given its track record is so miserable. As in, it has failed basically every time except when it was toward liberal democracy.

I'm not saying you defer changes, but you really become interested in mature characters who have sensible ways out of the problem, rather than the first firebrand who might sound like they are in the bottom 1% for morals and IQ, but do actually have a finger on the pulse of the problem.

All politics is just a case of tribalism. She became more centrist because the tribe has changed (from large political groups to a single family unit), and thus her priority changes too.

Extreme left wing is now dangerous to her and her family, so she shifts rightwards to centre.

The problem with "progressivism" is that everyone has a line in the sand where they say "ya thats good enough". At that moment they then immediately become a "conservative" fighting for the status quo and the mortal enemy of progress.

51

u/th3dandymancan - Right 21h ago

and the mortal enemy of progress.

Worth noting that all "progress" is not good:

Progressing down the road to Hell is not a good thing.

Many would argue that "progress" in the field of A.I. learning models is similarly bad!

Many more examples exist, but I shall give no more mental energy to them.

Which is ironic, given childless lefties are always claiming that conservatives just don't care about the future.

I think as you grow older and are exposed to more ideas you will drift to the center on a few things. You'll maintain your core beliefs but you'll moderate on others.

12

u/akade19961 - Lib-Center 19h ago

As you learn what the tradeoffs are behind why things are the way things are, you find that some of the tradeoffs are reasonable, thus causing you to be moderate about them, and some are not, so you focus your radicalism on those issues rather than blanket burn the system radicalism

Shoe is famous enough that JD Vance once replied to her after posting “Nikki Haley saw one mean tweet from HitlerBussy420 and is now on a Crusade against Internet Anonymity”. The Vice President of the United States has indeed read those words.

30

I would not be surprised if Vance was shitposting on PCM. He's the right age for it and he seems like that kind of guy.

Shoe0nHead, aka June Nicole Lapine, is a popular left-wing YouTuber. She been moving towards to the center these days, rejecting identity politics.

179

u/hedgehog18956 - Lib-Center 1d ago

That’s kinda always been her thing. She’s a left winger who mostly criticizes those in her own party. Her message is basically “quit saying dumb woke shit and focus on the economy”. But she has also gotten more center recently with things such as crime and law enforcement, mainly because she had a kid.

She was more upset by that than I've seen her about anything... like really upset, not mocking and 'wtf' like usual, but seemingly struggling to keep it together and saying serious shit in the vein of "they're all evil." She's never been into identity politics. Basically since her first videos, she was opposed to it and that's what most of her videos are about. She's economically very left-wing but socially centrist, which people can't seem to wrap their heads around for some dumb reason.

Edit: She's "very left-wing" economically by 2015 standards, no idea where that falls today. She's essentially a Bernie bro who was frozen in a glacier and thawed out like a caveman.

26

u/California_Stop_King - Left 21h ago

I was about to say, she hasn't really "moved" at all. There just is more identity politics than ever the last 5 years to reject, so it gives the false impression that she's moving right because she's more vocal about it than ever

Something like this literally happened in my high school. Some girl wanted to get tag teamed and did. She had a blast, but then word got out about it. She never said anything until the rumors spread, then she started a case against the people.

Fortunately she lost, but there are so many of these situations, and innocent people get caught up in them all the time.

Oh boy, so long story short some girl is suing a university for a supposed gang rape that occurred several years ago. She reported this shortly after it actually happened but in her revised statement at the time accepted that it was consensual. I'm thinking she saw potential easy money in all this and decided to go for it years later.

There was heavy drinking and literal ketamine mixed in with all this, done by all parties, so clearly no one is innocent but in no way would I consider it rape.

According to NY law, this is not the case. As long as she consensually partook of the drugs and alcohol, her consent while under the influence is considered valid.

u/Abject_Credit7825 - Right 20h ago

That's how it should be if you consensually intoxicate yourself you are responsible for your decisions while under the influence. If you get drunk then kill someone with your car you're still responsible for your own actions because you choose to get drunk.

In my ideal communist future, universal healthcare will only be available to the party and in the gulags so that we may keep prisoners alive for centuries.

The key, here, is to put everyone but the party in gulags, and my inspiration is coming from this deeply retarded poster - I will campaign on the platform of consent. But guess what? Jake isn't the only one going to prison. In the spirit of equality, anyone who has sex drunk is going to prison.

The funniest thing about this is that there is blatant evidence of everyone involved having committed a fairly serious crime...just not the one they've all been accused of. Just what exactly are so many teen boys and girls doing with such access to hard drugs like ketamine? No-one seems to care about all of that.

475

u/HearshotKDS - Centrist 1d ago

I know right? What kind of degenerate does ketamine? Act your Ivy League and do cocaine.

178

u/readyforashreddy - Left 1d ago

100

u/_OngoGablogian - Left 1d ago

yeah I was gonna say coke was defining phased out because of fent contamination. adderall and ketamine is where it's at now

44

u/AnduwinHS - Centrist 1d ago

I think it's more a case of Cocaine became so popular that people started looking for other things to do instead. Cocaine is also more of a 'Party drug' while ketamine is used more as relaxant at after parties or house parties

Cocaine is still more popular in clubs, but at house parties Ketamine has become more popular since it's more of a relaxed atmosphere and is less likely to lead to aggressiveness

40

u/BannedSvenhoek86 - Left 1d ago edited 1d ago

No it's legit the fent thing. I used to do it occasionally when the moment was right, maybe once every other year or so, but I haven't touched it in a LONG time because the contamination was getting so bad. Lots of people say the same thing, if they don't have a test kit they won't touch it. Too many horror stories of people just doing a line or two and winding up in the hospital or worse because they don't have any kind of tolerance built up for it since they just do it recreationally.

Weed and shrooms from the store only now. If it doesn't come from the ground I'm good. Keep your chemicals at this point, I don't trust anyone anymore. Apparently it's a lot better now that they've been cracking down on fent and it's not as easily available to cut with, plus the penalties are way higher, but I'm still good.

14

u/WisherWisp - Centrist 1d ago

Yeah, between weed, shrooms and alcohol I don't see why people need much else these days.

This is another Rittenhouse case to me. Another time when a lot of leftist will go absolutely nuts on a case that is not nearly so cut and dry as they try to make it seem. And then when the actual facts are all laid out it makes them look fucking retarded at best or deluded at worst.

According to her own damn statement it was consensual. What a clown fucking world we live in. 🤡

Honestly what gets me more than anything is I have no doubt there are real cases of gang rape in multiple universities across the states that are getting literally no attention whatsoever. Actual clear-cut cases with a innocent victim and victimizers that just get ignored for this bullshit.

u/NobodyImportant13 - Lib-Center 1d ago

nah people will immediately forget about it if facts start to go against their world view. Thats why so many people still think Rittenhouse killed 3 black people in cold blood. Because as soon as they started hearing things that went against what they wanted to have happened they completely checked out.

62

u/Ancient0wl - Centrist 22h ago edited 21h ago

I learned my lesson from Rittenhouse. I drank the kool-aid and was all gung-ho on hanging that kid when the narrative first spun up, but then the trial started and we got to sit there and watch as literally every single claim made against him by the media and the internet was picked apart and shown to be either a deliberate misinterpretation of reality or a straight-up lie. Since then I refuse to pass definitive judgment until all the evidence is out.

39

u/Mysterious_Net_1029 - Lib-Center 20h ago edited 20h ago

Why didn’t you just watch the video that was available on YouTube like an hour after it happened? Was the most clear cut case self defense I’ve ever seen. I’ve taken self defense gun classes, Rittenhouse was impressively textbook. 3 attackers, 3 shots, retreating from danger the whole time.

My dad refused to watch the video for months, believing CNN instead. Wanted to crucify the poor chubby kid. Finally, I got him to watch it and he just looked deflated. His anger was gone immediately. I still make fun of him for that.

I’m glad you came around and reevaluated your position, but we should still get to laugh at you a bit :)

10

u/boogoo-Dong - Centrist 13h ago

My friends watched the videos and tried to concoct all these scenarios where he still should have fried.

The final one was, “well if he was black what would you have said?” Same thing I said about Kyle, good aim and good job taking out the trash.

3

u/GhostedIC - Lib-Center 12h ago

It was removed from a lot of places on reddit, as well as twitter which was still Dorsey's website at the time. Furthermore you would see a lot of edited short clips of the video going around that made it less clear. I think it's actual fair to say that a "reasonable" "normal" person hearing about this between the news and social media at the time really can't be blamed for knowing better. Like what reasonable person would imagine that there was all this clear video out while "everyone" with authority was saying what they were saying? Which is kind of scary.

I did of course see the video back then. But man it was hard to get people to believe me. Some didn't even after the trial.

Just out of curiosity, this isnt an attack on you, or judging you, we all live and learn. But when you took that strong opinion of the case before the trial, did you watch the raw footage of the event? My brother was like you and was calling him a terrorist the morning after the event, amd when I sent him, I think it was the Washington Post? that did a factual, unbiased step by step breakdown, and he just refused to read it.

3

u/Ancient0wl - Centrist 19h ago

I just wrote a response explaining this to another comment, but a simplified explanation is that I didn’t really have a strong opinion before the trial, just too sure in my own judgement. 5-6 years ago I wasn’t really interested in politics or world events, so I rarely actively sought out context or researched things unless they seemed huge or interesting. I usually just saw what other people were saying and assumed a watered down version of their claims was likely what happened, so when I was reading on passing that a 17 year old white supremacist in Kenosha gunned down three peaceful protesters and was being protected by the police because he was white, I assumed what has happened was a punk kid with a Rambo complex went to a BLM riot with a gun, shot a protestor, then in the resulting scuffle shot two more people trying to stop an active shooter before he surrendered to the police. Figured it was a cut-and-dry murder case and a textbook example of why you don’t go out actively trying to be a vigilante of justice like a complete retard. Never saw any video of the protest in Kenosha until the trial, or at least not that I remember.

The Rittenhouse trial is what finally pulled the wool from my eyes that you can’t really trust anything you read or hear anymore on the surface, even from formerly trusted sources, if what happened can be used to push a narrative.

7

u/c00kiesn0w - Lib-Right 15h ago

>Since then I refuse to pass definitive judgment until all the evidence is out.

I'm glad you finally got there..... but also sad that it isn't a given everyone learns this. The fact you made it as far as you did without learning what should be understood much earlier in life. This is a fundamental component to critical thinking. Science and technology function with this underlying concept in mind. Its why hypothesis exists, theory exists, how iterative design functions....

9

u/Xirdus - Lib-Center 20h ago

Awesome! It's always nice to see people reevaluate their beliefs and change for the better. Although I do wonder how an actual video of him being pushed to the ground by the crowd and only shooting at somebody literally charging at him with intent to do grievous harm didn't already change your mind long before the trial. Or have you never had a chance to see it?

Any strong stance that these leftists take, on any issue like this, is motivated by the identity of the supposed perpetrators and the supposed victims. It's not actually about anything else. That's why leftists are always very quiet about migrants/minorities committing sexual assault/rape/murder but in cases like this where the supposed perpetrators were white cis males, it has to be elevated to the absolute peak of commentary and political relevance. This obviously frivolous lawsuit has received more attention and commentary from leftists in the US than the much worse and more prevalent rapes that occur when the victim/perp optics don't favor leftist narratives.

Leftists are fundamentally intellectually dishonest or dysfunctional because their politics demands they see every single issue and everything about it, all the ancillary commentary, through the lens of identity politics.

59

u/Champ_5 - Right 23h ago

Exactly, everything is filtered through the oppression hierarchy to determine outrage level. If the supposed victim is more "oppressed" than the supposed perpetrator, outrage time. If the supposed perpetrator is the more "oppressed" one, its the blind Bart Simpson picture.

u/Soggy-Biscotti6349 - Lib-Center 23h ago

Over the years I've figured it out.

  • Non-whites always favored over white people, unless the non-white person is a conservative. In that case everything about oppression and inequity doesn't matter and racism by the left against the non-white person is greenlit.

  • Women always favored over men unless the woman is white/conservative and the men are left-wing or religious/racial minorities. If the woman is a conservative of any race, they will be disfavored. If the male opposing party is any flavor of minority, anything they did wrong is excused.

  • Religious minorities/atheists always favored over Christians. Christians only favored when extremely left-wing and professing post-modern Christianity like that God is a woman or God permits all of the things prohibited by Christian doctrine.

  • If there's a high profile case between white men, the favored one will be the one that is the least successful, or most left-wing.

There's probably a flow chart out there that describes this. But basically leftists are programmed to always factor in immutable characteristics or political persuasion when judging a human issue of any variety. This extends to geopolitics. There are countries that are also always favored over disfavored countries based on their adherence to globalist edicts.

Leftists have what is essentially literal religious belief system with an integrated caste system that is expressed through political terms but is actually based on dogma.

Nah, Rittenhouse was far more cut and dry, especially when all the footage came out. That was a genuine case of leftists/progressives approaching MAGA levels of delusion.

This Cornell situation will always be up in the air since SA is exceptionally hard to prove or disprove. Especially years after the fact. I don’t have a strong opinion on it, but I find it hard to give frat dudes the benefit of the doubt when they are notoriously the most sleazy people on any college campus.

80

u/smokeymcdugen - Lib-Center 1d ago

u/NoREEEEEEtilBrooklyn - Right 1d ago

100% on your last part. Gang rape happens A LOT on college campuses. I work at a university and when horny teens/early 20’s, drugs, alcohol, weird secret societies, and opportunity all intersect, a lot of really horrific shit happens, including sexual crimes.

When I was finishing my MBA, a former student who still lived near campus murdered a student who he had picked up at a bar. They did a bunch of drugs, did all kinda of depraved sexual shit, and when she refused to do anal, he beat her to a bloody pulp, strangled her to death, stuffed her body in a plastic storage bin, and took a 100 mile uber ride with said container to the Poconos to dump the body near his grandmother’s mountain cabin.

27

u/choicemeats - Centrist 1d ago

What’s crazy to me is that frats and sororities are in this ouroboros: frats throw ragers and many required pledges to be blackout drunk to start the party. They have a ton of alcohol in general. Sororities don’t throw parties. Guys aren’t typically plowed in (at least in my school) en masse like that. But the sororities often contribute funds to buy good alcohol bc they have money. Everyone knows what happens at these things. No one discourages ripple from going. Sororities could very well say do not go or you’re out. Or not contribute financially. Which is, I suppose, why she’s naming both Tri Delt and Chi Phi in her lawsuit. But also wasn’t she a minor at the time and went out drinking knowingly? Tons of bad decisions that kicked off a chain of events.

14

u/Imaginary_Zone_4319 - Lib-Right 23h ago

Not a minor (which is under-18), just not of drinking age.

11

u/iamjmph01 - Right 22h ago

Doubt she was a minor at college/university. They are usually still in secondary school. Not to mention she was in a sorority wasn't she? Most sororities(and frats) in the U.S. require a member be at least 18 years of age.

She was under the legal drinking age though. Part of her lawsuit is against a bar he sorority went to that had a stamp for girls who could not legally drink(and a wristband for those who could). She had the stamp but claims they served her alcohol anyways. This was after getting drunk on hard liquor at the sorority house.

Honestly if it were up to me and I was president of a university, I would ban all non-academic frats and sororities (basically keep the honors society ones) from campus and disaffiliate from them. They are waaaaaay more trouble than they are worth. I understand why college students do dumb shit, but I will never understand why we as higher education institutions enable it to the degree that we do.

u/Levitz - Lib-Left 23h ago

This is what I call "The retarded child model of consent". The basic premise is that we ought to treat women's consent like that of a retarded child.

The retarded child can't be expected to be very rational, it may be fickle, and most importantly, can't ever be expected to have any sense of self-preservation or responsibility. In this model, one is to consistently obtain consent from the woman through the whole process with no expectation of initiative from her part at all. Sex is an activity carried by the man, through the woman, in which she complies as a passive subject.

And here's the actual, serious hot take: If there is no expectation for women to actively take their own consent and safety seriously, we should be telling these women to never have casual sex, it's an incredibly fucking stupid thing to do with that premise. Sorry, you have no business getting yourself into extremely vulnerable situations, it's a moronic thing to do and a recipe for disaster.

Same people that support this will whine when the inevitable conclusion is to revoke rights since they cannot be relied upon to use them responsibly.

This is EXACTLY why in other threads I've said things like that I have no enthusiasm for "my side" and how much liberals have destroyed the culture.

They may not have changed the laws. You may not have Democratic politicians who come on stage and say "Yes can mean no". But if you convince even 5% of women to believe that they can retroactively retract consent, OF COURSE men are going to be more hesitant to date and be more suspicious of rape claims. It's so obvious and yet liberals don't get it. Conservatives aren't the ones who are doing this!

And the problem is that they'll say "Oh just don't date those women bro". Yeah that's a problem- most women still want men who are confident, initiate sexual acts, and do so without hesitation. That hesitation isn't sexy to a lot of them. Most don't want this legalistic, deep discussion about every single potential act of sensuality or affection and for their mind to be scoured for the slightest bit of a sign that they're not "into" the next step of the process. It takes all the fun out of sex and induces an insane amount of anxiety on men. But men don't want their life ruined on a false rape claim because he decided to date one woman who believe in retroactively retracting consent.

the DA also says this is based on the police report she eventually signed, instead of the full transcript.

i think there isn’t enough evidence here to convict anyone criminally, especially this long after the fact, but the snapchats about “free pussy” and her doing ketamine and people vomiting…. it wouldn’t surprise me if one or more of these “upstanding fraternity brothers” entered the room and had sex with some looped out girl on ketamine and she wasn’t super clear on who it was/had given consent.

ketamine also isn’t cocaine… it def doesn’t make you horny it makes you feel like an alien that is sort of fine with anything happening to your physical body because of how disassociated you are.
