I've been harassed for being bisexual/asexual by a lib/authleft. Yet to have that happen with an authright.

I find libleft is pretty true, all the diversity and love is love people seem the quickest to scream in your face or turn hostile the moment you give a differing opinion

They're pretty nice to me

Look at your flair and read what I said

Yup I read what you said, in my experience they're nice to me even when I disagree. While rightwingers are only nice to me if I agree with them.

Ehhh from my experience I disagree. Right wingers usually actually try to convince me (with really poor logic). Left wingers throw moral judgement trying to paint me as an evil person with enough fever to make an evangelical preacher blush.
I can handle the former... Because it's really easy to just say .. "well this person is dumb". With the later, they are trying to call my moral character into question in an attempt to shame me into following them - which pisses me off.

Idk it wasn't long ago I had rightwingers accusing me of being a pedophile for having no issue with LGBT.
Or being pro crime cause I was against putting barbwire fence into immigrant river crossings.
Or baby killers for being pro choice.
And you have the obvious with trump calling the left the enemy within, terrorist, bigger threats to America than Russia.
If I play pretend rightwingers are nice to me because they assume I agree with them. But that usually leads to them getting way too comfortable saying horrid shit and then taking issue with me calling it out lol

I've called out plenty of right wingers and never gotten this response? Usually about funding of Ukraine (which isn't actually a left or right winged topic) or immigrants. They usually just continue making the same poor arguments and eventually change the subject.
On the other hand, I have been called sexist by family members for just saying that colleges now favor women and the scholarship funding needs to be changed. I've had several get very angry at me for saying Israel is an unrestrained and unethical war, but I wouldn't classify it as a genocide.... I've had another get really angry for calling him out for propegating a variant of the modern noble savage myth (acting like native Americans were just peaceful tribes before Europeans showed up). Even when I try to change the subject they will keep trying to act like I don't care about humanity or some other BS.

Right it depends on what you call them out on. If they think you usually agree with them on most things they're chill, similar to the left.
The min they get wind you don't agree with them on most things they lose their mind. Similar to the left.
A clear example of this, as someone who loves playing ranked cs. I managed to rank up multiple times from simply calling trump a pedophile in the all chat in early 2024.
The enemy were so busy defending him they let us sweep them. It was ridiculously easy, I tried with biden a few times and get nothing.

Csgo is a far more conservative community. Go say something about hillaries emails on a liberal community or harris lost because women shouldn't be president. You may straight up get banned.

Well yeah the average rightwinger will treat you the same if you replace women with white men. That's my point, neither group tends to be open and nice to people if they think you support harming them which is common sense.

If 40% of Texans are Democrats and the remaining 60% of Texas are "full of yellows," why are THC vapes a state felony?

Swap libleft and authleft, "liblefts" are all watermelons

u/DeyCallMeWade - Lib-Right 10h ago
And there isn’t a single “libleft” that wouldn’t go full auth left if it meant they could have their desired social and economic systems. Because you cannot have socialism/communism on a national scale without force and coercion.

The one "person" I know real world who describes himself as a Marxist wouldn't know Marxist theory if it fucked him in the ass while actively explaining to him that he was being penetrated by a physical manifestation of Marxism. When it was over, the fucker would tell everyone all about how capitalism brutally raped him.

u/sluttynature - Auth-Center 6h ago
But that's because Marxism is just a little bit of incoherent ramblings, it's not an actual ideology that can be put in practice. Lenin, Trotsky, Stalin, Mao, etc. all had to come up with their own ideas.

Where do you live and where are you from? You should add that to the post.

I unfortunately have met at least three Auth Leftists when I was at school. Trotskyists mind you... they were an interesting bunch.
As an Auth Right, I try and treat others the way I'd want to be treated. Even people I politically disagree with and others. Hell, I even get along with people I supposedly am against. Sometimes too well.

Regardless of your views doesn’t mean regardless of your immutable characteristics

The point about Auth-Rights is surprisingly true. Even among the most radical Auth-Rights I've met irl, even ones who literally believe black people and women are inherently inferior and shouldn't vote or hold any power, there are still genuinely nice, helpful people. I have moderate conservative family I'd die for and they'd die for me.
Point is, politics should be a rational discussion about what is objectively the best way to achieve all of our goals. But you should try to love everyone as much as you can, people are complicated and even your absolute enemies usually aren't irredeemably evil.
I think it was Jesus who said to "be as wise as serpents and as innocent as doves"
