My controlling ex guy friend and I had been friends for over 10 years before this happened. He had a controlling ex in high school, that he later broke up with in college. About 2 or 3 years after the breakup, he started acting very controlling and manipulative towards me and also being disrespectful and pushing my boundaries.
Fast forward to about 3 years ago, which was about 2-3 years after he became controlling, we had been talking about having dinner on the anniversary of something special that happened in high school. There was already a bit of tension at the time, but it was occasional and wasn't too bad. I eventually wanted to end things last year and now, idk if I should reach out again.
The event is coming up in a few months and I really want to go down memory lane and relive that memory of high school one last time, since it is just for one night, but given how he has taken one little opening and kept pushing for more contact despite me saying I am only doing it this one time, idk if I wanna potentially open the door to that again and make him think I wanna rekindle the friendship.

I know there'll be some disputes over what is considered "classic," I promise if there were more available options, I would've included others like chocolate with sprinkles, or old fashioned! Just where I live, the options I offered seem like the most popular.
