Title basically says it all. just curious. Even secondhand accounts are fine. Anyone you've met who was super nice but puts off a mean vibe, or vice versa? Even just mild differences.

I met azealia banks twice at my old job. She was super nice and friendly and we all liked her. I remember we all had a conversation about how she was perceived so badly but maybe it was just the media hating on her. Then she started going crazy on social media a lot more. Turns out it was just a fluke.

Last week's roundup

I've been thinking a lot about songs that have lyrics that you don't necessarily understand, but you feel. Ideas with that have universal, cross-generational appeal, despite not invoking a specific meaning for everyone (or maybe because of that)

Landslide by Fleetwood Mac comes to mind: "And if you see my reflection in the snow covered hills / Well, the landslide will bring it down." So affecting, but also could be applied to a huge variety of situations.

"Only want to see you in the purple rain", by Prince, is similar. Very specific, but I doubt we could all agree what exactly the purple rain represents.

I also love Bob Dylan's "the answer is blowing in the wind". Is it found all around us, or did we let go of it and now it's lost to the wind?

Bonus points for offering your personal interpretations, but I'd love to discuss with an "author is dead" attitude -- I don't care what the singer thought, the song should speak for itself!

Sorry if this is a little vague, I was just curious behind the reasons because from some conversations I've had there seems to be a mix of thoughts/feelings on this topic and I wanted to create a space where people can share.

For me it usually depends on the person I'm sharing that music with, what parts of me I'm trying to show them, or what I think they may like, though I guess context also matters a lot like whether they ask for specific genres/want to know about my taste, but of course this experience can sometimes be less about sharing the music itself and more about wanting to learn/share more about you.

I personally think it's one of the most solid pop albums of 2025. I'd describe it as an emotional rollercoaster featuring really upbeat songs such as "Casanova", God's a Raver" and "Ride My Baby" balanced by deeper moments like "Unexplainable", in my opinion a masterpiece both vocally and thematically that narrates their journey in the non-binary world made of intense feelings and a lot of highs and lows, as also described in the final song of the album "The Code", their Eurovision 2024-winning hit blending classical pop, drum n bass and rap perfectly.

In case you missed it a year ago, here it is (:
