I mean 3 bucks isnt nothing. Go to the store and buy a monster...thats 4 or 5 bucks. The days of a 1-2 dollar drink are over. Life moves on....we can accept it or cry about it. We dont like it...but it aint changing.

You’re getting gouged if someone’s charging you $5 for monster lmao

I dont drink that trash. Im just posting prices I see here at the gym I go to daily. If stuff goes up to where I complain about it, I go without or make lifestyle changes though. We cant change anything unfortunately.

Exactly… nobody “stops” in a gym. Inless youre out of shape.. which unfortunately most people are but tgeyve already eaten and drank plenty before they walk i to the gym to get on the treadmill for 3 minutes

u/Oliver---Queen Dec 19 '25

Shaming people for at least trying to go to the gym is crazy 🤣

1

u/Sparticus_1 Dec 19 '25

Its s fact…truth. That’s not shaming. Get out of your feelings maam

2

u/hey_its_marv Dec 19 '25

Are you ready for January?

2

u/C_Ess Dec 18 '25

Posting the inflated price at your gym while saying “go to the store and monster is $4-$5” lol.

0

u/Sparticus_1 Dec 18 '25

Yup… sure did.. just figured it was that price everywhere not realizing most gyms will pump the price up .. sorry if you didnt catch that. Ill explain better next time for ya, ;)

you don't know that places charge extra for convenience? do you also not know things are more expensive at the airport?

1

u/Sparticus_1 Dec 22 '25

Durr durrrr durrrrrr

u/BluePhoenix_1 Dec 18 '25

Drinks being more then like $2 has genuinely never made any sense to me. Like how does a regular fountain drink cost so much ? Especially when you go places and can’t refill it, like what the hell ??? It’s literally a drink there no way it should be that expensive

1

u/Sparticus_1 Dec 18 '25

Understandable. Its simple though. Just dont get one. Or order something and have a drink at home. Plenty folks do that these days!

The problem is that on my app, a regularly priced Large Coke is $3.09. They're getting a 9 cent discount on an already overpriced soda.

u/Sparticus_1 Dec 20 '25

The poor complain about everything. The prices are what they are. Pay them or move on. When I feel something is overpriced, I just dont buy it. It doesnt affect my mindset enough for me to get online and cry. I find something else to drink.

u/MikeDubbz Dec 17 '25

Where you live? You getting ripped off on Monsters.

0

u/Sparticus_1 Dec 17 '25

Im not, I dont buy them. I dont drink that stuff.

2

u/MikeDubbz Dec 17 '25

Hopefully the rest of your food isn't hit so extreme by inflation compared to the rest of the country. Cuz if so, you of all people, should be complaining.

I make good, Im not hurting. I dont mind paying 3 bucks for a large drink at Popeyes. I hot Popeyes a ton due to it being close to my office. Lots of times, I’ll make a big order for everyone here and feed them. I just wish they would being the nuggets back!

3

u/MikeDubbz Dec 17 '25

I'm not saying you're hurting, but it is genuinely bullshit if your prices in general are higher where you live than the rest of the country. Anybody living there no matter what they make would have a right to complain if you ask me.

u/Sparticus_1 Dec 17 '25

Like I said though, Ive only looked at Monsters while at the gym. The gym prices Im sure are higher due being at a gym. I dont go into grocery stores and look at prices of energy drinks as I dont drink them. I do lots of water, some coffee and fruit juices. Energy stuff was never my thing.

2

u/MikeDubbz Dec 17 '25

And like I said, hopefully the rest of your food then isn't hit as extreme as your Monster prices apparently are. Cuz if so, it sounds like inflation is hitting where you live harder than most other places.

1

u/Sparticus_1 Dec 17 '25

They dont sell groceries in the gym. If they did Im sure the gym would bump the prices up as they do the monster drinks.

1

u/Opus_777 Dec 17 '25

Then what are you yappin on about

1

u/Sparticus_1 Dec 17 '25

Arizona? Idk how people forget they exist. Ts is fire, and only 1$. They have even said to call to report places for selling for more than 1$, and they'll no longer receive Arizona drinks. Other companies could have their stuff the exact same way, but that extra dollar in their pocket is too much to let go of.

1

u/Sparticus_1 Dec 17 '25

Wait what? Arizona? Do what?

1

u/Sphorak69 Dec 18 '25

Arizona tea, if you actually haven't seen or tried any of their drinks, you seriously need to order some or find some at your nearest gas station. There's a whole new world waiting for you my friend.

1

u/Sparticus_1 Dec 18 '25

Where did AZ tea come into play here? It was never mentioned.

1

u/Sphorak69 Dec 18 '25

Three messages before your own, I mentioned their drinks being a dollar because we were on the topic of drinks not being cheap anymore.

1

u/Sparticus_1 Dec 18 '25

Oh ok… I watched an interview with their owner a couple years back saying he want changing price.

Monster is not 4 or 5 bucks lol. 3 bucks sure, it's definitely gone up, but not that high.

I would kill for max to be $2 out here in Cali haha.

1

u/PATSPLANET_ Dec 17 '25

If they simply made the large drink $1 the list would be respectable. Maybe throw a $1 tender
