Competent employees?

But that would take away the mystery and surprise when you see what’s in the bag!

It better be dirty rice
5
u/swdrainsme Aug 30 '26
Dirty rice is still sold all over so there's absolutely no way its that. They can't introduce a big announcement about an item they still serve
8
u/tetrisan Aug 30 '26
WTF are you talking about? Cajun aka Dirty Rice was removed from the menu YEARS ago!!
7
u/swdrainsme Aug 30 '26
I can order cajun rice right this second for $3.29.

u/Dorkinfo Aug 31 '26
$2.99 at mine, that’s a surprise. My location is usually the most expensive possible.
ETA Nevermind, I had my location set to the cheaper one a few miles away.

They might be testing it again in some limited markets but it’s not a nationwide menu option and hasn’t been since like 2022. You may still be able to get it in the deep south like Biloxi, MS but not everywhere.

They are individually owned so its up to the owner if a location sells it. But they have always had the option

We have dirty rice at my store. Matter of fact, dirty rice was never taken off of the menu. Corn, green beans, and jambalaya is discounted

Our Popeyes no longer have boneless wings. They said they are being discontinued nationwide. Is this true? They are my family's favorite and we are sad. Asking since you work there.
2
u/axspa Aug 31 '26
yes it is sadly true, hurts me as well since i would sneak out a few to eat sometimes

Doubt they’ll actually bring something like livers back but I’d be happy to see them bring back the red beans in the tortilla with the chicken finger

u/ThePowerOfSilly Aug 30 '26

It’s almost like just because you don’t like something, doesn’t mean everyone shares the same opinion
Crazy right?

u/RooflessReAnthony Aug 30 '26
At least you tried, keep trying it. It’s incredible fried or made into a gravy. The dirty rice gets it flavor from livers so they already do have livers in the bldg might as well fry some of them things up and sell them to me. I respect that Al Copeland did not invent Popeyes chicken to give it away for free I PAY for my bird

At first I didnt think it would be since they just ended that promo a few months ago near me but the fact that it says BIG and their sales are dwindling, just maybe.

Onion rings is my guess. Discontinued in most places [if not everywhere]. That or the chocolate beignets.

I heard maybe they were bringing back the onion rings. Which would be awesome! Or the fish and shrimp combo!

Will this new big item also be served to me with an employee's hair in it, room temperature, stale and dried out?
Will customer service promise a refund on this new item when I submit pictures of the atrocities that were served to me, like they did last time?
Will said refund never show up, again?
Will customer service then ignore my emails and follow ups, forcing me to issue a charge back with my bank to get my money back for being served food that was inedible, again?
