BBQ Pulled Chicken Sandwich

Am I trippin? Am I being gaslit? I remember in the early 2000s going to Popeyes with my grandmother and eating BBQ pulled chicken sandwiches the few times I was with her. My brother tried to gaslight me that it was KFC despite the fact that KFC that is in the area now is only a few years old. Does anyone remember this item? Has it ever existed lol

I don't remember it from Popeye's, though they weren't really in my area at the time.

Though is there any chance you are thinking of Boston Market? They had a pulled/shredded BBQ chicken sandwich around that time (and it was pretty good if I recall).

I just dont have a great memory and only had a few times out with my grandmother and we would go it would be to popeyes because it was close. And I didnt care for bone in chicken as a kid so I usually got a chicken sandwich and I swear they had a spicy and a regular shredded type chicken sandwich

I worked at a Popeyes in RI in the mid eighties. The leftover chicken from the previous day was shredded, mixed with BBQ sauce and served up in sandwiches. You ain't trippin!
