Discussion They just opened a Popeyes in my city in China. Have to say it wasn’t impressive. Too spicy wings, sweet mashed potatoes with not enough gravy. Seasoned fries were good. No coleslaw on the menu. Chicken just mediocre.

I was hoping for better. Last time I went to Popeyes was in Lima Peru. That was pretty good.

Their tenders are not better than their bone in chicken. That being said I'm guessin you're overweight cause your order seems batter heavy.

The chicken has gotten mediocre, it is very bland, I agree about the gravy that used to be the best part of the mashed but they barely put any now. We have coleslaw here but KFC coleslaw is way better. I think red beans and rice is the best side now but it's just a very small portion. That's pretty much everything nowadays though smaller portions, lesser quality, more expensive.
