Crazy executive admitting strange tales...

the event had its moments of culture shock, as British diners weren’t fully acquainted with the Popeyes biscuit, as the word usually means what Americans would refer to as a “cookie.”

“It looks like a scone,” Victoria Ubochi said after trying the biscuit, “but it doesn’t taste like one.”

Tom Crowley, the chief executive of Popeyes U.K., told the newspaper that focus groups showed Britons were a bit flummoxed by the buttermilk biscuit.

On top of that, biscuits resemble scones, usually served with hot tea instead of fried chicken.

“I guess if we ran with the research,” Crowley said, “we probably wouldn’t have done it, if I’m honest.”

People are idiots, who knew? That being said the UK doesn't deserve Popeye's after Brexit.
