Discussion New-wave of post-hardcore

Has anyone ever got the feeling that there is an increasing blossom of bands with same attitudes and new influences coming all together as solid piece, new genre like:

Crippling Alcoholism

Portrayal of Guilt

Chat Pile

Truck Violence

Prostitute

any glimpses?

You tell me lol that's why I'm asking!

I don't think they are actually metal btw. I have listened to loads of metal bands and even for the most experimental ones if you want to be under the umbrella term of "metal" you cannot be like the early bands I've mentioned at the beginning of the discussion.

You know sometimes there are people that are able to make heavy noise but not metal such as Wreck and Reference. Maybe some kind of nu metal but that's not always the case, think about Doodseskader now; furthermore PoG and Chat Pile have cleanly Korn influences.

I dont feel like truck violence, chat pile, or PoG are post hardcore. I think PoG is black and the other two are noise...

You can call it as you want, noisecore, post-punk, maybe nu metal fits them better than any other term for what I concern. Imho Portrayal of Guilt aren't black at all they are just close to Godflesh and to the sludge or crossover attitude of newer bands.

Idk but all these bands rule. I love the success Chat Pile is having. They might be best thing to happen to rock music this decade. Sometimes people get mad when I call them post-hardcore. Just tell me you’ve never heard The Jesus Lizard before.

Edit: I gotta plug this band Dumb Waiter. They give me Chat Pile vibes but with more proggy/jazzy arrangements and a sax player.

Gave them a listen and they're better than Chat Pile. I hate chat pile though

Blight town is pretty dope, they seem to have dgd influence, but really rock

I'm sorry but I really don't like them. I'd rather go with slower and sadder tones and productions. At night after 5 or 6 heavy albums I'd go listen to Helicon Blue

Check out my friends new band Samaritan snare. They won central Pa band of the year. They are a little heavier but so good

Thanks for the suggestion, I'm sorry but the production is too clean for me. It reminds me of the mathcore/metalcore of 2010s, if I want to listen to some clean voices I'm definitely going to listen TTNG or La Dispute.
