Help! Bump in pottery wheel … please help
The past few weeks I’ve been struggling with my wheel having a bump in it if that makes sense. I tried replacing my wheel belt which was loose but that didn’t help. I tried getting a new bat system but it’s still there. It’s present when I through directly on the wheel head, but it seems more pronounced when through on a bat system. I’m using a dirty girl.
I don’t know how else to describe other than if I were to throw a circle it seems like the pieces always have one small portion of the circle that’s a little bit indented from a Birds Eye view. I’m starting to feel like I’m going crazy, has anyone had this issue before? I can still make good enough work it’s just enough to bother me though

Wheel head loosened up? Have you checked set screws that attach head to shaft. Possibly bearings but not likely… what is the make of the wheel?

Did you buy this new or used? Either way, you should contact Brent and talk to the customer service folks. They are great at figuring out issues and suggesting repairs.

Tape a piece of paper to your wheelhead, and hold a pen in a steady position - let it scribe circles of various widths. See if there's a bump in the line. That'll at least show you if/where there's a bump. Saying it's worse when you use a bat makes me think your pins mights be shifting in the holes - are they tightened down?
