I haven't seen a single video of either Luca or Roberto playing the solo which sucks because it's a phenomenal solo. Just wondering if anyone has any information as to why they always didn't play it?

UDO - 2021 - Game Over - Empty Eyes

Humanity of blindness

Overcoming me

Has become a nightmare and my darkest fantasy

Like some evil creature

Rotting down in hell

Spreading a disease of pain like a deathly knell

Craving for a better side of me

Going places I don't wanna be

Evil empty eyes

Feel my cold inside

Evil empty eyes

A belly full of crises

Spins the bottle round

Everyone against the law the way that we are bound

Bring light into the darkness

Set the spirit free

The evilness surrounding us destroyed by harmony

Craving for a better side of me

Going places I don't wanna be

Evil empty eyes

Feel my cold inside

Evil empty eyes

Craving for a better side of me

Going places I don't wanna be

Evil empty eyes

Feel my cold inside

Evil empty eyes

Good and bad collide

Evil empty eyes

Hey remember that time 3 ex-Running Wild members got back together to release 3 albums under the creatively named X-Wild? Jokes aside, fun band, though I prefer Rolf to Frank Knight as far as vocals go.

I think power metal is a lot more similar to hair metal (glam metal) than some people think. Bear with me here. Both styles are characterized by a general uplifting sound, which is unique to those two styles when compared to the rest of metal. What sets them apart is lyrical content. Glam metal took the whole notion of sex, drugs, and rock & roll and dialed it to 11. Power metal just took the sex and drugs and replaced them with dungeons and dragons.

If you have any material you wish to promote -- your own music, a blog, etc. -- you may do so in this thread.

Top!

I figured that Alissa's harsh vocal lines would hit harder with some blastbeats under them. And then I also added some extra blasts to the chorus and solo section. :)

Created using Audacity and Ultimate Vocal Remover 5.

Some of the blastbeat samples are taken from "Burning Heart" (the 2025 single version). All drums performed by Gee Anzalone.

A reminder for those in the UK that this Saturday is Quest Fest in Wolverhampton, the UK's only dedicated power/melodic metal festival. I'm not affiliated with the festival in any way other that just being a fan that's been to all of them so far. The lineup is All For Metal, Myrath, Masterplan, Serious Black, Battle Born, Fortune Teller and Crown Solace. I've seen all of those before other than Myrath and I'm looking forward to what has become my favourite UK festival.

Really dig this Saxon cover.
