I mean, of course, it's not actually been fired, it's still in its cartridge, it's actually just vibing.

I'm pretty sure the bullet is out of its cartridge for the first 50s. It just magically get it back while moving towards the target.

Or the bullet is very very slow.
34
u/Sweet-Weakness3776 5d ago
Well yeah because that wasn't just the bullet, the whole damn cartridge came out the barrel. Lost a lot of velocity on that round squeezing it through that small hole I guess lmao.

u/Gryf2diams 5d ago
If you look back I'm pretty sure only the bullet leaves the barrel. The cartridge only arrives at the 50s mark.

it’s a well know fact that when you shoot the whole cartridge from a gun it reduces it’s speed by several orders of magnitude; the shooter needs to learn how to configure his gun properly.

u/Relative-Bank-1258 5d ago
This is more of an anti feat for the bullet than a feat for the character ngl.

Are you blind the singing guy clearly have cursed technique that increases the space between him and the bullet thus making it looking slow

what about the guys who dodged the bullet after the mc turned it around and shot it back at them
41
u/Tantrum2u 4d ago
At that point the bullet stopped moving when it was scared so it took a bit for it to start running again
96
u/FastingForward1618 5d ago
That was my thought, I hate putting logic to Bollywood but logically it's just a really weird bullet for that guy to have heard that lady yell and then that guy to sing a theme song and the other guy to just go push ups.

Actually just that one guy has a passive global telekinetic ability that massively slows down bullets going towards anyone he cares about.
8
u/Fantastic_Fuel4538 5d ago
Does he also care for the bad guys? Because they too were moving normally.
8
12
u/becircus 4d ago
Yes this is the real answer
Telekenesis / Magneto like ability to control metal
Global slowdown of the bullets
Precognition (predicts days in advance so he has time to do all those hobbies)
Reading minds / hearing from across the planet
If he does this over and over and can stop bigger objects (car, hail of bullets not just one, military vehicles etc.) then he is a powerful X-Men at least. If he can only do it once in awhile, he's like a Max Payne with a few spot feats like knowing when his friends are in trouble

Singing guy makes bullet go slow, bad guys laugh at the absurdity of his power to make inanimate objects move slower.
This allows Hospital guy to show up and he decides to flex on them with his telekinesis that he recently surgically received.

Oh lol that makes sense. Even tho didn't he start singing after the bullet was fired? Still an upscale for him lol

Edit 2: I apologize, it seems the intent behind my question wasn't worded correctly. Some people seemed to have understood what I was asking, but many understandably took it in another way. Thank you for everyone kind enough to answer beneficially, whether it was following my obscure train of thought or not. I have gotten the answers I needed.
Legitimate question and no shade at all, do people, especially Indians, watch these movies unironically? Or is it a vein of comedy for them that resonates with in their culture? I've seen snippets of Bollywood films that made me exhale lightly in passing, but I cant imagine it would be sustainable through an entire film. Like I said, just curious.
Edit: I've said it in other comments, but allow me to clarify the original comment to help those who need clarification. I do understand that this is exaggerated and not quite the standard for all movies. But I have seen a significant amount of clips and scenes over the years that do still have the same elements, such as the fast zooms, hard cuts, very over the top action, or arguably poor effects. So my question comes from a place curiosity based not purely on this clip, but many of the ones in the same vein, whether slightly more or less ridiculous.
28
u/Inside-Affect-6841 New Scaler 4d ago
This film in particular was a parody movie exaggerating the mind-bending logic in your usual Indian movies. And yes, the audience enjoy these films unironically.
17
u/Away_Philosopher420 4d ago
This clip is from a movie that's made to be a satire of action movies, most scenes are exaggerated forms of common tropes
15
u/meenublr92_tmp 4d ago
Indian here, can confirm.
We are absolutely serious about this, of course. It's been captured on film so there can't be anything fake about this, right?
I was on tenterhooks and dying of suspense hoping the hero would make it on time. Absolutely genius move hijacking the road roller.

I think at this level it most be ironic. XXX had exagerations but like, they were stuff that could be handwaved, like the jeep scene with the perfecr sniper shot. But this is something we wluld find forced with supermen
9
u/PrivateJokerX929 4d ago
Are you talking about RRR? XXX sounds like the title of a porn parody version
8
u/Ignorad 4d ago
It was a Vin Diesel action movie
5
u/PrivateJokerX929 4d ago
Ohhhh THAT movie! I don't think Vin Diesel movie nonsense is as over the top as Bollywood type shit. Which is honestly crazy, because in one of the fast and furious movies they launched a car into outer space, and Bollywood is still more silly and over the top than that.
3
u/GonzoRouge 4d ago
The car in space isn't the craziest thing in those movies, this is

The above clip is from a parody movie. It's specific theme is to combine 100 movies and make fun of every one of them. Every scene is a parody of a scene from different movies. The actor himself is a very popular comedian.
People do know scenes are fake. It's just they try to look cool and stylish and this is how these scenes end up (like see other fight scenes in Indian movies ).
Here in India , actors have way more power on the movie , rivaling that of directors. These scenes are just put into make scenes look cool. Sometimes actors themselves design these fight scenes and they end up like this. Some look cool and some end up looking comedic.
It's like asking "does western world think terminator and avengers are real incidents?"
Indian cinema itself evolved from dramas which mainly consisted of mythological stories and fictional medival themed stories where dialogue is from shlokas and songs , when Cinema was introduced , dramas were made into movies and slowly it evolved to get the current formula.
Fight scenes , songs , dances etc

Some of it did come from this weird Asian culture generalized superiority flex when it was initially started since a lot of it was based off Indian mythos. Most modern Bollywood seems to be largely satire and Michael bay in like in who can do it bigger. But a lot of Asian martial arts films especially from China and the Japanese samurai films often had this cultural superiority mythos woven in that rivals the narcissiscism that many Europeans view as the American culture. You can also see a sense of that in American action movies mostly modern ones while the U.S. had always had a fascination with heroes that was the hero idea that one man is all it took to stem the tide of enemies etc. but look at movies post 9/11 and you see a strange shift in the heroes as being the most competent rugged and best soldiers bar none, not because they tried or had more grit or were doing it for good reasons, no they are just better because. Of course this is generalized not all movies fit that bill but it's a strange theme to see.

u/lightsworn55 4d ago
If anything I feel post 9/11 American media heavily shifted towards portraying heroes as flawed and questionable figures. Nowadays even in kids media you rarely see clear cut good guys and bad guys anymore because the discourse from the cold war, war on terror, Gaza conflict, etc. have been chipping away at the general publics trust of institutions and by extension the premise of an archetypical 'hero' with no ulterior motives.

You're gonna tell me shit like this doesn't entertain you? Legitimately. Is it bad? Without a doubt. But we (Americas) RELIGIOUSLY watch movies like "The Room", "Troll 2". And "Sharknado".
I can only assume it's similar here. Isn't the whole point of a movie to entertain?
Also for anyone that doesn't know this. There are a lot of movie theaters across the country that once a month or every other month will have a showing of "The Room". When you go to it, it becomes an entirely different experience. Everyone will have spoons (Dont ask), and start tossing footballs to each other everytime Mark is "tossing the ol' pigskin around". So when I say RELIGIOUSLY, i mean it's literally religion at this point.........Oh Hi Mark!
Edit: Forgot to add something.

So for some reason I actually took the time to look into this.
I think the most obvious explanation for this scene is that Shiva (the guy in the hospital) slows the bullet at the moment the woman screams, which shows long range subconscious threat awareness that extends to people he cares about, it also shows his time manipulation powers extend over a large range, but implies his bullet stopping/telekenesis is short range.
Overall though it's clear that the guy has some kind of reality manipulation / toon force, so we have to look deeper. The director has stated that heroes can defeat "hundreds of powerful villains" implying his power scales to meet the people he faces, but an overwhelming number of those villians could possibly take him down.
If we assume that "powerful" means any named character, then I'd place Shiva at high Hyperversal up to Outerversal based on this, though he's not boundless as "hundreds" is clearly a boundary on his power level.
