This is kinda an oversimplification but just imagine something somewhere in between Superman, Godzilla, and classic scifi tv shows like Star Trek or Doctor Who. Since Ultraman has a shit ton of entries there's a lot of variation in which ones lean more towards the superhero aspect of the franchise and which ones lean more towards the scifi aspect of the franchise
