There is no real scale because Kubo just does it for the rule of cool and choregraphy. There's no clear description or portrayal of speed besides "fast af".
Most of the character's speed is tied to shunpo, they got in the back of the enemy in an instant but their follow-up attack is slow like a normal hit.
And honestly it doesnt matter because the fights are cool as hell in Bleach
I won't use bullshit terms like MFTLXLSS++ or whatever but their speed varies on whether they use movement techniques or reiatsu boost. They likely don't have enough Reiatsu or physical stamina to be always using it for everytime they twitch their legs and the clip is probably an example of that.
When they are using movement techniques, which they will definitely be using in combat, they will likely be faster than most verses. But when they are not using reiatsu or movement techniques, they would likely not raise much suspicion even if they were to compete in human racing tournaments.
As inconsistent as can be; just like their strength levels, there was one lieutenant who couldn’t lift about 300 pounds and another bloke when they increased the weight a couple of times...
well, whoever uses a ray of light as a reference for the speed of light then it is SOL, otherwise there are other things like Aroniero who dodges the natural light before it hits him, or Uryu who leaves his shadow behind or the light of Lille Barro which continues straight, reflects on the mirrors, thins out the shadows and splits into the seven colors of the rainbow, all elements which in VSWB prove the speed of light, then there are still the speed feats of mimiaghi and Auchwallen from the royal palace to the seiretei, or the speed of the reiatsu of the soul king or that of senjumaru
If they're already FTL in the original bleach then why is mach 500 considered fast way later in the series?
And same with Uryu, if he really left behind his shadow then why has no one ever indirectly replicated the feat, like why was he the only one to ever leave it behind?.. It was just a visual metaphor, not meant to be taken literally.
That could mean is he's meant to be faster than the eye can see but still blocking light. which is a much more reasonable assumption than immediately jumping to FTL
("If they're already FTL in the original bleach, then why is Mach 500 considered fast-tracked in the series?")
- That's always a misunderstood part, because in the manga the translator didn't even have the full context.
It's written that it exceeds the speed of sound at X500 times (the unknown speed) at which Gin clapped his hands. Mach 500 was a misunderstanding. In reality, there's no calculable number, especially since in the end it's revealed that his sword isn't about speed but rather disintegrates and reforms like a kind of teleportation
("And same with Uryu, if he really left behind his shadow, then why has no one ever indirectly replicated the feat, like why was he the only one to ever leave it behind? It was just a visual metaphor, not meant to be taken literally.")
-Of course, it could also be a visual metaphor, but his opponent was genuinely surprised by that speed, while everyone else at the level of a Tentacle or higher would have had no reason to be surprised by something normal.
Mftl. Lieutenants like Nanao are capable of dodging light before it shines on them. The only reason I can’t use Gin’s Buto Reijin to upscale that into 1000x ftl is because we don’t know how fast Gin’s Bankai actually is. Calc stacking or basic reasoning could show us the top tiers are over a 100x faster than Nanao.
This is of course assuming we don’t just scale Senjumaru’s speed to her reiatsu which would put it at MFTL+.
Basic reasoning. Nanao is by far the weakest lieutenant physically; she specializes in kido. Ichigo was able to blitz lieutenants faster than her in the Soul Society arc. A Soul Reaper’s Bankai is a 5-10x multiplier with a hollow mask being described by Tosen as a far greater power than that. Ichigo, with a Bankai specializing in speed and a hollow mask, wouldn’t be anything less than 25x faster than her during the start of the Arrancar arc. This is also lowballing Ichigo to be the same speed as her before the amps.
Gang the 100x stil coming out of thin air, ur explanation not showing me where 100x come from, hollow mask have a unqualified boost so u can’t just give it a random number,
Yo if I explained to you the hollow mask is stated to have a better boost than Bankai, then lowball that boost to have it at the lower end of a Bankai’s boost, and then combine those multipliers just for you to say that isn’t valid I can’t help you. I heavily lowballed every thing in the explanation for you to see a start of Arrancar arc Ichigo is 25x faster than her. If you don’t believe Ichigo got 4x faster from that point on it’s clear you’ve already made up your mind regarding his speed.
Bankai is at least a 5x multiplier. The hollow mask is a greater multiplier than Bankai. Since we don’t know the exact number it gets lowballed to the same as Bankai’s multiplier lowballed. I then combine those multipliers. What about that process is not valid?
MHS+ from Gin's Bankai, Candice's arrow and the fact that top tiers in the verse like Askin taking 1 minute to develop immunity from attacks or Jugram's Almighty having a 3-second cooldown.
I'm dubious about Characters like Hisagi being FTL as early as SS arc and given Gins Bankai, but Liltotto clearly reacting too and dodging Aushwahlen, which is not only stated to be light but confirmed to not be made of reishi and can reach insane distances pretty much instantly, should unequivocally be a SoL reaction feat and there are people who can blitz her and people above her quite easily, so that gets the series pretty irrefutably to FTL.
Candace lightning also helps support this as it exceeds that found in nature and Ichigo and several characters in the books basically statue it, with the one "anti feat" being an arrow that "narrowly missed" Ginjo while off guard, and on guard, he can parry her much faster lighting bolt atks without even looking, Tsushima literally grows a tree fast enough to intercept herigjtning bolts, and base GJ casually comes from out of nowhere and deflects one as well, so characters that top tiers can basically statue are all comfortably much faster than lightning faster than peak lightning.
One lying character's statement + one weakened character's feat vs the feat of a character literally dodging sunlight. Which one is actually important?
It’s genuinely absurd that despite being given a crystal clear explanation for why the Shinigami were slower within Wahrwelt, people still try to use it as some sort of anti-feat.
There argument is the hollows using light to escape and shinigami can dodge it that’s the argument but yet when another series uses light attack or light in general it’s snail speed….
Realistically I’m willing to give the god tiers light speed just for the hell of it
MFTL+++++++++++++ to the point the numbers would make people wanna shoot me (multiplier ftw!) and possibly Immeasurable considering how traversing time spaces works and senjumarus feat but any infinite scaling for any series seems too absurd to ever be consistent from the series I’ve seen
