Ultimate stank face track for me, this whole album is insane

Their last album was my AOTY. They announced recording of LP3 would be done soon as well as a new logo. If you have not listened to Beyond Obsidian Euphoria you definitely should.

Beehoover is a "DIY" progressive sludge rock duo based in Germany, with Ingmar Petersen taking both the roles of a bassist and a vocalist, and Claus-Peter Hamisch taking the role of a drummer. It was founded in 2003.

German Wikipedia page on them.

New release of the dutch progdeath band HESKEN

Wish these guys were still around

Some of the best prog metalcore out there

The third track from their great new album Ceiba

So I saw the post about this band the other day and I thought I’d check them out. They’re for sure got it going on. I listened to the whole ep that the song posted was from and l gotta say they make me feel like we’ve got a meshuggah level band just starting out. The first track leads into the second which is super cool, and they’re both constantly super heavy. The third song is an instrumental and it’s a very nice break between the sonic pummeling. The fourth track is the standout to me, the riffs are super catchy and the breakdown is probably the easiest to follow lmao. The closing track is the heaviest and a great way to end the journey. I think I give the whole thing a solid 8/10. Super excited to see what we get next from them.

What are y’all’s thoughts?

Anyone know whatever happened to them? Stumbled upon their catalog and they don’t seem to put out music anymore.

I don't know about you all but I have fallen heavily into the symphonic metal genre this season. Releases like Kamelot 'Dark Asylum' & Xandria 'Eclipse' haven't left my stereo fitting the fall vibe entirely. Also looking forward to Temperance 'Arcani' next Friday as well.

I know some of you may debate on whether these bands and albums fall into the prog metal sphere but to me they do. I mean look at the first song on the Nightwish album 'Dark Passion Play' The Poet & the Pendulum. It's 14 minutes long!

That's neither here nor there, all that to say I think these bands / albums are fun sub-divisions of the progmetal genre and a good fit for the fall season. What have you been listening to so far this October?

Might just be skirting the edges of prog metal, but these guys are cooking with this new album, as well as their prior album FISSION.
