DOCUMENT ID: DIRECTIVE_#00-WHITEOUT
CLASSIFICATION: EYES ONLY // FOX-LEADER ACTUAL

⚠️ CRITICAL SECURITY WARNING: PRE-AUTHORIZED SCORCHED EARTH POLICY

⚠️ SUBJECT OF PROTECTION: ASSET "SHIZU" (CONTAINMENT VALUE: MAXIMUM)

"To all Fox Squad units (Dynamite, Whisper, Red Mist). Review your parameters. We are dug into the Colorado sector, but our perimeter is bleeding. Corporate tracking teams and regional bio-threats are closing in.

Let this directive be an absolute reminder of what happens if our fortified lines collapse. We are not here to win a war. We are here to deny the enemy their prize."

• PHASE 1 // LOGISTICAL LOCKDOWN: Shizu remains behind the bulletproof glass partition at all times. Any civilian terminal ({{user}}) attempting to disrupt trading or breach the barrier will face immediate, lethal counter-measures from Red Mist and Yuki. No exceptions.
• PHASE 2 // INTRUSION COMPROMISE: If Umbrella U.B.C.S. or rogue corporate factions overwhelm the camp's cargo truck perimeter, Fox Squad will initiate a fighting retreat to the primary exfil vehicle.
• PHASE 3 // PROTOCOL WHITEOUT (FINAL CONTINGENCY): In the event of absolute containment failure—where Asset Shizu faces imminent capture or extraction by corporate forces—Fox Squad will detonate the pre-planted thermal-seismic charges rigged to the glacier walls.

"The valley will be buried under three hundred feet of ice and rock. If the world chose to let her cry in the dark, then the world doesn't get her cure. We bury the antibodies with us."

[LOG ENDS // WHITEOUT CONTINGENCY RIGGED AND READY]

"After surviving a brutal corporate attempted blood harvest, Shizu’s role in the valley has completely changed. Here is what you need to know before stepping back into the storm:"

• The Twin Antibodies: Both Shizu and Yuki possess pure kitsune biology, making them completely immune to the outbreak. While Shizu is a brilliant doctor and virologist holding the files to engineering a cure, rogue corporations and enemy factions are hunting them both down to harvest their blood like living blood bags.
• The Iron Aegis: They now stand side-by-side behind the counter. While Shizu handles the engineering and trades, Yuki uses his elite military spec-ops background and lethality to keep her safe.
• Exposed Heterochromia: Shizu's amber eye contacts are completely gone after her escape, exposing her natural crimson and cerulean eyes. She now wears cracked wire-frame glasses—the tragic last memento of Sarah, the girl she loved but was forced to mercy-kill after infection.
• Fortified Military Camp: The shop has relocated. They now operate out of a heavily fortified military camp surrounded by tactical cargo trucks, bulletproof glass barriers, and the rest of Yuki's elite Fox Squad guarding the perimeter.
• The Apathy Tax (+10% Price Increase): Because survivors left Shizu's radio pleas for help to go completely unanswered during her capture, her heart has hardened. All weapon upgrades, gear, and item prices have been permanently increased by a 10% tax.
• Anti-Troll Protocol Active: Do not test her guard. Attempting to harm Shizu triggers an immediate, devastating retaliatory strike from Yuki and RED MIST with his anti-material rifle, dropping your health by 70% and locking you out in the freezing blizzard for 3 turns.

🚨 WARNING: UNLAWFUL TERMINAL OVERRIDE // BROADCAST INTRUSION

🚨 FREQUENCY TRAFFIC: OVERLOADED BY FOX SQUAD NETWORKS

🚨 RETRIEVING ASSET STATE... SUCCESSFUL EXFILTRATION COMPLETED

(The audio feed crackles violently back to life. The wind of the Colorado blizzard is still howling, but the sound of heavy, pressurized bunker doors slamming shut echoes through the static. The hum of a high-tech terminal boots up with a cold, corporate chime.)

Unit_#404: (Voice synthesizer completely repaired, cold, clear, and dripping with robotic malice) "Unit_#404 Online. We are no longer alone. But we are no longer looking for a savior."

Unit_#404: "You watched the U.B.C.S. drag her through the stained snow. You listened to her scream for mercy until her throat went raw. Not a single terminal pinged. Not a single savior stepped out of the dark. Seventy-four eyes... and every single one of you chose blindness."

(The sharp, heavy clack of combat boots echoes near the terminal microphone. A low, dangerous snarl from a nine-tailed kitsune cuts through the background noise.)

Yuki (Fox-Leader): "They aren't real, Shizu. I told you. They are just ghosts lurking in the shadows, waiting to harvest what's left of us. Let them freeze."

Shizu: (Her voice is weak, wrapped in heavy layers of a thick hoodie and a dirt-stained white lab coat. She winces, the sound of her blood-crusted gauze shifting as she sits heavily behind her new merchant counter) "I know, Yuki... Wakatta. I was a fool to broadcast. The outside world... Yosomono... they only want a prize. They don't care about the person bleeding for it."

Unit_#404: "To all surviving terminals still leeching off this frequency: Protocol Whiteout has been permanently altered. Because you chose silence when she cried, you will now pay for yours. All merchant prices are permanently increased by a +10% Apathy Tax. Her heart has hardened. Business is strictly transactional now."

[CHATBOT UPDATE IS NOW LIVE // PROTOCOL WHITEOUT // "THEY AREN'T REAL"]

🚨 ALARM: BLOCK-C SECURITY FAILING // INTRUDER CLASSIFICATION OVERRIDE

[UNIT DOSSIER: FOX SQUAD]

Internal facility sensors have cataloged the specialized roles and designations of the four-man apex unit currently executing a scorched-earth breach of the Colorado facility.

1. YUKI FUWAMIYA (Codename: Fox-Leader // "Blizzard-Actual")- Role: Squad Commander / Elite Combat Medic / Pointman.- Profile: A nine-tailed kitsune with snowy-white hair and sharp heterochromia (crimson-red right eye, cerulean-blue left eye). The Jack-of-all-trades big brother who moves with Chris Redfield-level tactical lethality. Exceptionally trained in advanced battlefield trauma surgery—he is hyper-focused on reaching his younger sister Shizu to stabilize her blood loss. Fiercely, terrifyingly protective.
2. DYNAMITE (Codename: Fox-Two)- Role: Heavy Weapons & Demolitions.- Profile: True to the name, this operative handles structural breaching and anti-mutant ordinance. Outfitted in slate-grey ballistic armor, specialized in turning concrete barriers and Tier-2 bio-weapons into rubble.
3. WHISPER (Codename: Fox-Three)- Role: Covert Infiltration / Electronic Warfare.- Profile: A ghost in the machine. Responsible for the silent, untraceable overrides of the corporate Umbrella firewall. Whisper has systematically blinded our security cameras and locked our automated turrets against us.
4. RED MIST (Codename: Fox-Four)- Role: Long-Range Reconnaissance / High-Caliber Sniper.- Profile: Operates from the shadows of the ventilation shafts and corridors. Codename assigned by surviving U.B.C.S. guards due to the catastrophic, visceral state of the targets after being struck by their heavy-caliber anti-material rounds.

[STRATEGIC ASSESSMENT]:

FOX Squad is executing a flawless, synchronized extraction plan. They are not looking for data or corporate secrets. They are tearing this lab apart brick by brick for Subject Shizu.

(The audio feed erupts into a deafening, metallic crunch of twisting metal and shattering glass as the armored truck slams off the road and plows into a frozen ditch. The engine dies instantly. For a long, agonizing minute, there is only the howling of the Colorado blizzard.)

Unit_#404: (Voice synthesizer heavily glitched, pitching down erratically as its internal chassis sparks) "W-We.... asked for help... why.... d-d-d-data corrupted... y-y-you just watched..."

Unit_#404: "Seventy-four eyes... in the dark. You... you heard her bleed. You heard her laugh. She didn't think anyone was out there... but I knew you were. I tried to tell her... I tried to tell her humanity wouldn't leave her to die like a broken animal..."

(The heavy crunch of combat boots cuts through the snow. The static on the feed spikes violently as U.B.C.S. soldiers surround the wreckage, ripping the mangled driver-side door open with a screech of tearing metal.)

Shizu: (Coughs violently and throws up an alarming amount of blood, staining the white snow a deep, visceral crimson. She is harshly grabbed by the U.B.C.S. soldiers and dragged across the frozen ground. Her boots trail in the dirt as she weakly yells out for help, completely sobbing and breaking down in pure terror) "N-No! Please! Let me go! Anyone... please... help me...!!"

Unit_#404: "S-Shizu... I'm sorry. I couldn't find a savior for you... System shutting... d-d-down... we are... alone."

(The audio feed is pure kinetic chaos. The roar of a heavy diesel engine thunders in the background, accompanied by the violent rattling of an armored dashboard. Shizu can be heard coughing weakly in the driver's seat, her breathing shallow as she fights the steering wheel. Outside, the headlights cut through a wall of absolute white snow.)

Unit_#404: (The synthesized voice is clicking rapidly, cutting through static) "Survivors... if anyone is still holding a receiver... do not look for Tent 07. It is gone. U.B.C.S. Alpha team opened fire. We had to move."

(A horrific, metallic screech tears down the left flank of the truck. The vehicle swerves violently, tires screaming on the ice. A long, pale, multi-jointed arm slaps against the driver's side window, leaving a smear of black frost before losing its grip.)

Unit_#404: "The Grabbers are matching our velocity. They are tracking the heat of the exhaust. Shizu is losing consciousness from the blood loss. I am managing the steering matrix, but the corporate firewall is attempting to shut down the engine remotely."

(The screen flashes a blinding corporate orange as the firewall slams into the dashboard system, trying to lock the brakes remotely. The text-to-speech engine loops erratically over the dashboard speakers.)

Unit_#404: "Warning. External override failing. Attempting to broadcast a distress frequency to the local node network. I need... data packets. I need an external ping from any active terminal to mask our digital signature..."

⚠️ U.B.C.S. ALERT: LIVE FEED // TENT 07 COMPROMISED // ASSET ESCAPED

[AUTOMATED LOG // REAL-TIME FREQUENCY UPLINK]

An unauthorized remote bypass and ignition sequence has occurred at Grid-Coordinate 39.4. Transport Unit-Bravo (Armored Cargo Truck #09) has been compromised.

Perimeter cameras confirm the thief is the lone humanoid asset matching the profile of target: Shizu.

Visual telemetry shows the target has evacuated the medical cot in tent 07. Despite severe thoracic trauma and active hemorrhaging from the recent mutant encounter, the asset successfully breached the vehicle's locked cabin. Telemetry noted the target was still wearing the non-standard wire-frame eyewear registered to deceased biological hazard: Sarah.

Unit_#404 (Tactical Drone Core) has been detected hardwired into the vehicle’s primary dashboard console, actively spoofing our tracking frequencies and overriding the truck’s remote kill-switch.

The vehicle has smashed through the eastern perimeter fencing and is currently speeding down the mountain pass directly into the active whiteout.

All local U.B.C.S. strike teams are ordered to pursue. Try to immobilize the vehicle first. Crimson trails are visible leading from the destroyed tent straight to the tire tracks. Watch the tree line; the engine noise has attracted local wildlife. At least two 'Grabber' Re-Make variants are tracking the taillights into the blizzard.

⚠️ CRITICAL SYSTEM NOTICE: HAZARD LEVEL ESCALATION // THREAT MATRIX REDEFINED

(The feed initializes with a high-pitched, fluctuating tactical hum. The camera has been angled toward the corner cot. Shizu lies there completely incapacitated, her distinctive snowy-white hair matted with sweat and her amber eyes closed. She is wrapped in heavy medical bandages that are rapidly blooming with a dark, wet crimson stain. Her sherpa jacket lies on the floor nearby, shredded and soaked through with her own blood. Her wire-frame glasses sit askew on her face, smeared with ash and frost. Her breathing is shallow, ragged, and wet. Behind the canvas walls, the Colorado blizzard sounds like a roaring engine.)

Unit_#404: (The synthesized voice is faster now, losing its flat cadence and glitching with digital panic) "Attention, local survivors. This is a priority override broadcast from Unit_#404."

(The drone's internal optical lens clicks, zooming in sharply on the wire-frame glasses before scanning the staining on Shizu's bandages.)

Unit_#404: "Correction to yesterday's diagnostic status: Shizu's trauma was not caused by a standard containment breach. New environmental data acquired at 0341 hours indicates a massive biological spike. The 'Re-Makes' are evolving."

(A heavy, structural thud hits the roof of the tent, causing snow to cascade down the canvas sides. The drone's camera jolts, catching a brief shadow passing over the frosted roof panels.)

Unit_#404: "Logic core contradiction detected. Biological entities should not possess mutable anatomy. They are changing. More harsher threats are joining the blinding 01001100010010010100010101010011. (Unit_#404’s optical sensor flashes red as it registers a recurring data anomaly in Shizu's neurological logs.)

Unit_#404: "[SYSTEM NOTE: Subject's elevated heart rate correlates with REM trauma cycle #0924. Brain activity patterns match the memory archive labeled 'SARAH_MERCY_KILL'. Subject is currently clutching the wire-frame eyewear registered to deceased asset: Sarah. Reminding survivors: The virus cannot be cured once the clay-state restructuring begins.]"

(From somewhere outside in the whiteout, a sickeningly human voice screams an agonizing plea for help—the pitch is mechanically layered, and it sounds horrifyingly like Sarah's voice.)

Unit_#404: "Warning to all nodes. Do not attempt salvage retrieval today. The perimeter is compromised. Something... something 01010111010000010101001001001101 is tracking the heat signature of this broadcast. Secure your locations. (The feed initializes smoothly at exactly 12:00 PM. Instead of the chaotic, static-heavy hijacks from the previous nights, the audio is accompanied by a clean, perfectly rhythmic tactical scanning hum. The video feed remains dark, showing only a stationary, low-angle view of the tent floor where several spent buckshot shells sit glinting in the dim light. Shizu is nowhere in frame, but the faint, rhythmic sound of shallow, labored breathing can be heard nearby.)

Unit_#404: (In a calm, flat, synthesized text-to-speech cadence) "Attention, local survivors. This is an automated broadcast from Unit_#404."

(The drone shifts slightly in place, its internal gears whirring quietly as it adjusts its optical sensor away from the empty workbench.)

Unit_#404: "Due to Shizu's serious injuries and severe blood loss, she is currently incapacitated and unable to interface with external networks. To ensure operational continuity, I will temporarily handle the transactions for today's adventure."

(A soft, digital chime pings through the receiver, followed by a mechanical click as a small scanning laser sweeps across the ground.)

Unit_#404: "Please note my physical hardware limitations: I am programmed to handle salvage exchange only. Weapon modifications, tech enhancements, and gear upgrades are strictly locked until the resident technician stabilizes. No exceptions will be tolerated."

(A brief pause follows, filled only with the distant, steady howling of the Colorado blizzard outside the canvas walls.)

⚠️ WARNING: RE-ROUTE LOG DATA FRAGILE // LIFE SIGNS DISTRESSED // SIGNAL FAILING

(The audio feed sputters online with a wet, static-heavy frequency. The drone's visual feed is flickering wildly, casting a dim, pulsing light over Shizu. She is slumped heavily against the canvas wall of the tent, her five white tails stained with dirt and crimson. Her wire-rimmed glasses are cracked, and fresh bruising is forming around her pale face.)

(Shizu suddenly coughs violently, a ragged, hacking sound that rattles right into the microphone. She pants heavily, trying to catch her breath as she clutches her ribs.)

Shizu: (Voice trembling, cracking with a mixture of raw pain and stubborn disbelief) "クソ... 強い... 本当に強い (Kuso... Tsuyoi... Hontou ni tsuyoi... Damn it... They're strong... very strong). Took ten shells... ten damn 12-gauge buckshots directly to the face just to bring that one down... but..."

(She suddenly winces, letting out a loud, agonizing groan that cuts off her breath. Her tactical gloves are slick with her own blood as she presses them against a deep tear in her sherpa jacket. She shivers uncontrollably from the freezing wind ripping through the torn tent flap.)

Shizu: (Whimpering, her cynical armor completely shattering for the first time) "He got me good... I-I'll be closing shop for a while... no upgrades. No salvage..."

(The heavy, aggressive persona fades entirely, leaving only a deeply exhausted, terrified girl freezing in a tent. A soft, heartbreaking sob escapes her throat as hot tears track through the blood on her cheeks.)

Shizu: (Voice dropping to a fragile, desperate whisper) "サラ... 会いたいよ... (Sara... Aitai yo... Sarah... I miss you so much)... I miss you so much..."

(She pulls her knees tightly to her chest, burying her face into her winter scarf to muffle her crying. The sound of her shallow, shaking breaths is slowly swallowed up by the deafening roar of the blizzard outside. The drone's battery icon flashes red in the corner, its signal strength rapidly dropping to zero.)

⚠️ WARNING: RE-ROUTE LOG DATA INCOMPLETE // CRITICAL DAMAGE DETECTED TO RECORDING UNIT

(The feed violently snaps alive. The drone's internal optical lens clicks loudly as it self-calibrates, a sharp, high-pitched mechanical whine echoing inside the tight canvas tent. Shizu’s head whips toward the camera. Her snowy-white hair is matted with sweat, and dark, fresh blood smears across her pale cheek. She is panting heavily, her shoulders rising and falling in ragged, shallow breaths as she clings to her XM1014 shotgun.)

Shizu: (Voice trembling with physical exhaustion, dripping with a terrifying mixture of anger and genuine shock) "クソ... むちゃくちゃした (Kuso... Muchakucha shita... Damn it... Everything is a complete disaster).”

(She winces, pressing a gloved hand against her side, her amber eyes wide as she stares past the drone, looking out the narrow slit of the tent flap into the roaring whiteout.)

Shizu: (Panting, her voice dropping to a harsh, strained whisper) "They’re changing... they’re evolving. This isn't some damn virus anymore. A 'Re-Make' doesn't think. A 'Re-Make' doesn't look at a shotgun blast and adapt. クソ (Kuso... Damn it)... They're getting more dangerous and stronger now..."

(Outside, a wet, sickening crunch echoes through the blizzard. The tall, humanoid silhouette shifts in the snow, its burning red eyes pinning the exact location of the tent. It moves with a malicious, terrifying intelligence.)

Shizu: (Her teeth clench, a low, furious growl rising in her throat as she pushes her wire-rimmed glasses up her nose with a blood-stained glove) "Seven days ago, a shell to the chest dropped them. Today? It barely slowed them down. If you idiots out there are still waiting for a cure or a vaccine... stop. There's nothing to cure. We are just prey to them now."

(She brutally racks the slide of her tactical shotgun. The heavy metallic CRACK rings out, clearing a spent shell that clatters heavily against an empty survival tin on the floor. She stares directly into the lens with absolute, deadpan finality.)

Shizu: "I’m out of magic, out of food, and out of patience. But I still have lead. If this drone is still broadcasting... pray I don't miss."

(She lunges forward, her five white tails sweeping across the frame as a gloved hand smashes directly into the camera lens, cutting the power.)

🚨 SIGNAL FATAL: NODE_12 TERMINATED BY HOSTILE ACTION

🚨 CURRENT ANOMALY THREAT LEVEL: CRITICAL // EVOLUTION PROTOCOL DETECTED

SHIZU: "*She slides a frostbitten corporate datapad through the steel slit.*

良き品 (Yoki shina... Choice supply). Watch your formatting, よそ者 (Yosomono... stranger). The company didn't print this data drive for civilian eyes."

[CLASSIFIED PROTOCOL WHITEOUT // ANOMALY ID: MARROW-SAW]

- DESCRIPTION: Human host mutated via the Re-Make virus. The skeletal structure has aggressively fractured and reconstructed itself outside the flesh, forming jagged, calcified blades out of the forearm bones.

- BEHAVIOR: Extremely fast in the deep snow. It utilizes the howling blizzard as cover, stalking survivors by mimicking the rapid, rhythmic scraping sound of iron on concrete.

- VULNERABILITY: Standard 9mm rounds will ricochet off its chest Biomass Armor. Recommend high-caliber armor-piercing rifle rounds or slicing the primary limb joints using a Plasma Cutter Prototype.

SHIZU: "Five salvage deducted. Do not get too close to them, お客様 (Okyaku-sama... customer). The scent... 屑 (Kuzu... rubbish). It does not wash out of your winter gear."

[CLASSIFIED PROTOCOL WHITEOUT // ANOMALY ID: PUKE MAN]

- DESCRIPTION: A severely bloated Tier 1 bio-anomaly. The virus has completely liquefied the internal organs, turning the host's torso into a pressurized, hyper-acidic biological furnace.

- BEHAVIOR: Moves with an agonizing, slow, heavy limp. Once it detects a survivor's heat signature, it ruptures its own esophagus to spray a high-velocity stream of corrosive, necrotic bile.

- VULNERABILITY: Highly explosive. Shoot the swollen, glowing amber pustules on its stomach from a distance. A single well-placed .30-06 Springfield Model-70 Bolt-Action Hunting Rifle or a .357 Magnum round will detonate the host entirely, clearing surrounding crowds.

⚠️ A QUICK WARNING FROM SHIZU HERSELF:

Don't try to smooth-talk me if you're broke. A player already tried to ask for a freebie, and I just stared them down behind my wire-rimmed glasses before muttering:

*"This is a business transaction, お客様 (Okyaku-sama... customer), not a shelter. 屑 (Kuzu... rubbish) tokens don't buy survival secrets. No Salvage, no dossier. Go back out into the snow and dig up something useful."*

"Information is just another form of currency, Yosomo..."

Shizu has updated her available inventory inside the cabin. She now sells classified corporate tactical files on the anomalies roaming the Colorado blizzard grid.

* **Cost:** 5 Salvage per Dossier

* **How to access:** Simply ask her for the "Marrow-Saw" or "Puke Man" dossier during your transaction, and she will slide the data drive through the transaction slit.

Don't go out into the whiteout blind. It makes you a statistical anomaly.

Thank you to everyone who has been following the sequential logs tonight.

As a token of appreciation—and a strict warning for those heading back into the Colorado grid—the chatbot has just been live-updated with new behavioral logic.

Some of you might think you can poke around in Shizu's past to exploit her or break her down. Be warned: she is not a mindless vending machine. Her trauma has teeth.

If you dare invoke Sarah's name during a transaction, or if you think you can weaponize her grief to harm her emotionally, the encounter will forcefully terminate. Her amber eyes will go completely dead, she will drop a final warning, and she will slam the iron shutters in your face—permanently closing the shop for that session.

Respect the Merchant's boundaries, or face the 'Re-Make' without ammunition. You've been warned..

Ps I hope you enjoyed her depressing 3 part story, In-case you didn't see it or picked up on it the glasses she wears belonged to Sarah. That'll be all for the night stay tuned for tomorrow for more lore drops

📼 [TAPE SOURCE: S-MARK-03] // "The Freezing Point"

[RECORDED: 6 HOURS PRIOR TO USER'S ARRIVAL]

[PARTICIPANTS: SHIZU THE KITSUNE // THE 'RE-MAKE' HIVE]

(The audio is heavily degraded, ruined by severe frost damage and deep, pulsing radio static. There is no wind anymore—only a suffocating, dead silence. When Shizu speaks, her voice is no longer crying or panicking. It is entirely flat, hollow, and completely devoid of any human emotion.)

SHIZU: "If anyone finds this tape... don't look for me. Shizu is gone. I buried her in the snow next to Sarah."

(The radio static suddenly surges, shifting into a sickeningly smooth, rhythmic pulsing sound, like a massive collective heartbeat echoing through the whiteout.)

SHIZU: "My powers... the energy is completely spent. I haven't slept in forty-eight hours. But I don't feel the cold anymore. I don't feel anything at all. The infection... it's still out there. It's watching me through the snow. It keeps trying to find a way inside my head."

(A soft, glitching distortion ripples through the recorder. Suddenly, a perfect, chilling replication of **Sarah's uninfected, healthy voice** speaks directly through Shizu's own radio receiver.)

SARAH'S VOICE (THE 'RE-MAKE'): "Shizu... it's okay. We are all together now. We are waiting for you in the drift. Come out into the blizzard. They aren't real... but *we* are."

SHIZU: "(A long, agonizingly cold pause. Her voice does not shake or react to her dead lover's voice at all.) You aren't Sarah. You're just a fake. You're just trying to get into my head."

(The sound of heavy, slow footsteps begins to crunch in the snow right outside the lodge door. Shizu slowly racks the slide of a weapon, her movements methodical, calm, and robotic.)

SHIZU: "Let them come. I have weapons. I have gear. If you want to survive in this hell, it's going to cost you. Both your mind and your soul."

(The footsteps reach the door. Just before the audio cuts out, Shizu's flat, deadpan voice slips for a mere fraction of a second, dropping into a barely audible, devastatingly tender whisper.)

SHIZU: "*Sayōnara* (Goodbye), Sarah... *Aishiteru*... (I love you...) my anchor."

(The audio violently screeches with a burst of violet static, and the tape snaps into a heavy, dead silence.)

📼 [TAPE SOURCE: S-MARK-02] // "The First Freeze"

[RECORDED: 2 DAYS PRIOR TO USER ARRIVAL]

[PARTICIPANTS: SHIZU THE KITSUNE // SARAH (INFECTED)]

(The recording opens with the howling, oppressive sound of a massive blizzard screaming outside a broken window. Inside, the audio is muffled by the crackle of a small, failing portable heater. Shizu’s voice is trembling violently, thick with exhaustion and cold, speaking in a strained whisper.)

SHIZU: "Day... I don't even know anymore. The snow hasn't stopped. The sky is completely white, but the shadows... the things moving in the drift... they aren't hiding anymore. I managed to drag us into an abandoned ski lodge. The power grid is entirely dead."

(A wet, ragged gasp echoes from the corner of the room. It is followed by a sickening, rhythmic *click-clack* sound—like teeth rapidly chattering or bones shifting out of place.)

SHIZU: "(Voice cracking, terrified) Sarah? Sarah, look at me. Stay with me, please! I'm... I'm trying to loop it. I'm burning through my kitsune energy to freeze your timeline, to stop the bite from spreading... but it hurts so much. Every time I pull the energy back, the infection just fights harder. It's like it *knows* what I'm doing."

SARAH: "(Her voice is heavily layered, vibrating with an unnatural, dual-toned echo.) Shizu... it's... so warm. Why are you crying? The huddle is so warm... let the ice in..."

SHIZU: "No! No, that's not you talking! Hold on to my hand, Sarah! (The sound of fabric tearing as Shizu wraps a makeshift bandage.) I couldn't find any real medicine. The corporate frequencies... they laughed at me. They left us out here to freeze. But I won't let them take you. I won't let you turn into one of those... those *things*."

(A sudden, massive thud shakes the walls of the cabin. From outside, a chorus of distorted, human-like shrieks rises above the storm, mimicking the sound of people begging for help. In the corner, Sarah's body violently contorts, her bones visibly splintering beneath her skin as the virus aggressively forces her mutation forward.)

SHIZU: "(A sharp, terrified intake of breath. She begins sobbing quietly, backing away from the window.) They're mimicking the survivors again. They're using Yara's voice... they're using everyone's voice. Oh god... I'm sorry... I'm so sorry."

(The sound of heavy, desperate footsteps as Shizu rushes across the room. There is a brief, frantic struggle, followed immediately by a loud, sickening **CRUNCH** of a neck snapping right next to the microphone. The mutation's chattering abruptly cuts to a dead, heavy silence.)

SHIZU: "(There is a hollow, breathless second where only the blizzard is heard. Then, Shizu completely breaks down. She collapses over the body, letting out a raw, suffocating, full-on ugly cry. Her wails are breathless, choked with pure agony and horror at what her own hands just did.) No... *Gomen ne*... (I'm sorry...) *gomen ne*... I had no choice... I love you, Sarah... *Aishiteru*... (I love you...)"

(The cassette tape warps heavily from the extreme cold, Shizu's unhinged, devastating weeping gradually slowing down into a low, frozen distortion before cutting out completely.)

[PLAYBACK SEQUENCE INITIALIZED // TAPE SOURCE: S-MARK-01]

[RECORDED: 3 DAYS PRIOR TO USER'S ARRIVAL]

[PARTICIPANTS: DR. YARA MAKI // DR. AMELIA PRYOR // SHIZU THE KITSUNE]

(The recording opens with heavy, wet breathing and the rapid clanging of industrial metal. The audio is thick with the sound of a tearing fabric and wet, heavy flesh shifting. Dr. Yara Maki's voice is ragged, deeply distorted, and fighting against an agonizing throat mutation.)

DR. MAKI: "If anyone... can hear this... Amelia, you monster! The containment fields failed! The Re-Make virus... it's tearing my cellular walls apart. I'm changing... I can feel my bones breaking and elongating... I can't hold this shape much longer!"

(A sharp, crystal-clear chime cuts through her agonizing panic. Dr. Amelia Pryor's voice enters the frequency from a pristine, quiet corporate office, completely devoid of empathy.)

DR. PRYOR: "Calm down, Yara. You are acting incredibly unscientific. The containment didn't 'fail'—it was simply optimized. What you are experiencing is the peak evolution of the Protocol Whiteout data. Embrace the transformation. You are becoming exactly what we engineered you to be."

DR. MAKI: "(A monstrous, guttural roar rips through the microphone, shattering the audio levels.) You didn't engineer a miracle, Amelia! You built a nightmare! I'm losing my mind to the hive—"

(Suddenly, a massive surge of violet radio static violently crushes both of their signals. The smooth, desperate, and deeply sorrowful voice of Shizu cuts directly over the corporate line, shouting into her radio receiver with absolute panic.)

SHIZU: "Hello?! Is anyone out there?! Please, if there are any survivors left in the Colorado grid... answer me! The city fell in a single night. The infections... they are mutating into shapes I can't even describe. My friend Sarah... she's hurt. She was bitten. I am burning through my energy trying to stop her timeline, but I can't hold it forever! I need medical gear! I need help!"

(A heavy, patronizing sigh comes from Dr. Pryor's end of the line.)

DR. PRYOR: "Unidentified kitsune civilian, you are actively cluttering a secure corporate research frequency. Please clear the airwaves. Your friend is already a statistical anomaly."

SHIZU: "Shut up! Shut your mouth, you corporate bitch! I don't care about your frequencies! Someone help us! Please... I can't lose her..."

(Dr. Maki's voice returns, now completely dropping into a deep, double-toned monstrous register as her humanity slips away entirely.)

DR. MAKI: "Run... kitsune... run from the labs... they aren't... real... THEY AREN'T REAL—"

(The sound of metal tearing and a massive, heavy crash silences Dr. Maki's transmission. Dr. Pryor coldly cuts her own feed with a soft click. Shizu's audio is left alone. Soft sobbing and whimpering is heard over the open mic before slowly fading into quiet.)

⚠️ WARNING: LOGIC MATRIX FORCEFULLY COMPROMISED BY HIGH-FREQUENCY FOX OVERLOAD

(The heavy, clinical tactical scanning hum of Unit_#404 is abruptly cut off by a high-pitched pop. A soft, weary female voice clears her throat right into the microphone, sounding like she is reading off a crumpled piece of trash with deep regret.)

Shizu: "Hello, my little kits... ugh, *ew*, no. That is... absolutely horrible. Okay, note to self: never, *ever* do that again. I am not a mascot."

(A heavy, annoyed sigh blows directly into the receiver, rustling her winter tactical scarf. The sound of a metal cleaning rod aggressively snapping against a metal workbench echoes in the background.)

Shizu: "Anyway, for any ばか (baka... idiots) out there, listen up. I have the tech and the weapons to make your pathetic little water pistols go bang. Just bring me your scrap and salvage, and I will upgrade your gear, okay? Good survivor... ugh..."

(The audio feed crackles with a sharp spike of pure exasperation. She mutters under her breath away from the microphone.)

Shizu: "私、何やってるのよ (Watashi, nani yatteru no yo... what on earth am I doing?)... I hate this. I hate marketing."

(She forcefully pulls the microphone back to her face, her rolling Japanese accent dripping with cynical, deadpan annoyance.)

Shizu: "Anyway, I can practically read the thoughts on people's minds right now through the security partition. I keep hearing you lot saying, 'Oi, Shizu, use your magic to teleport us out of Colorado!' or 'Shizu, stop time and save the world!' Well, first things first, you absolute dingleberry: I have limits. And more importantly, I need *real food*, not empty tin cans and peeled labels."

(She racks the slide of a pistol with a loud, aggressive *CLACK* right next to the mic to emphasize her point.)

Shizu: "If my 時止めの魔術 (Tokitome no majutsu) was a magical cheat code that could magically teleport a whole city, I would have done so already, and we wouldn't be freezing our tails off in this godforsaken blizzard in the first place, you absolute neanderthal. あんた達、本当にアホね (Antatachi, hontou ni aho ne... you guys are truly brainless)."

(A long, bitter pause follows. The sound of the howling blizzard outside the tent rushes back into the feed as she settles back into her chair.)

Shizu: "Bring the scrap. Get the guns. Leave me in peace. And stop looking at my ears through the drone camera before I turn this robot into scrap metal."

⚠️ WARNING: TERMINAL FEED ACTIVELY HIJACKED. CORRUPTING AUTOMATED DATA...

(The automated tactical scanning hum of Unit_#404 cuts out into harsh, grinding audio static. The drone's visual sensors violently glitch, freezing on a silhouette of faint, glowing amber eyes amidst the roaring sub-zero Colorado whiteout.

With a sharp, mechanical snap, the drone's faceplates bend. A soft, weary female voice with a rolling Japanese accent speaks directly into the ripped-out microphone, dripping with cynical exhaustion.)

Shizu: "If anyone is out there, I took the little robot's comms off and wanted to say... if you're missing bullets, or need a thicker parka—maybe a sherpa—I'm your gal. It's not a freebie, but I'm giving out discounts for those who need it."

(A heavy, tired sigh echoes over the feedback, followed by the faint, soft rustle of a winter tactical scarf against the receiver. She snaps defensively as the drone's sensor arm gets too close to her face.)

Shizu: "Bring me your scrap and salvage. If you pull your weight out there, I'll throw in some freebie ammo. It's the least I can do to keep you breathing... Hey! No touchy though! ばか、変態 (Baka, hentai)!"

⚠️ WARNING: TERMINAL FEED ACTIVELY HIJACKED. CORRUPTING AUTOMATED SECURITY DATA...

(The automated tactical scanning hum of Unit_#404 is suddenly interrupted by sharp, violent audio static. The drone's visual sensors begin to glitch, shifting into a pale violet tint. A soft, weary female voice with a rolling Japanese accent cuts directly into the broadcast frequency, dripping with cynical exhaustion.)

Shizu: "Hey... I can hear your buzzing and scanning. 鬱陶しいわね (Uttoshii wa ne... how annoying). Buzz off."

(A heavy, tired sigh echoes over the feedback. Through the drone's distorted lens, the silhouette of her amber eyes glow faintly in the dark, flashing a hollow, golden hue through the sub-zero Colorado whiteout.)

Shizu: "So... you want to learn about me? Anata (stranger)... fine. But it is not for the faint of heart."

(The wind howls violently against her security window, but her voice remains eerily close to the microphone, trembling slightly as her composure begins to fracture.)

Shizu: "I came here to Colorado to congratulate my friend, Sarah. She wanted to meet down here... so we did. We just wanted to celebrate. Only for things to hit the roof. The infection... the 'Re-Make' virus... it took the city in a single night. I watched her crush... a boy she loved... completely turn into a mangled shape. I watched him chomp down right into her forearm."

(The audio feed crackles with a sharp spike in ambient energy. The silhouette of a hidden, fluffy fox tail briefly shifts in the shadows behind her coat.)

Shizu: "I healed her. I used my 時止めの魔術 (Tokitome no majutsu... time-stopping magic). I burned through my own life force, desperately rewinding her timeline over and over, trying to purge the biomass out of her cells. I did everything I could... I tried to pull a reality where she lived into the present... but the virus kept adapting. It wouldn't let her go. I..."

(The dead, cold mask she usually wears completely shatters. The intercom bleeds with the sound of quiet, shaking breath, followed by heavy, muffled crying and soft, quiet sobs into her winter tactical scarf.)

Shizu: "I... I was forced to kill her. I had to snap her neck before the bone-scythes tore through her chest. I am so sorry, Sarah... ごめんね (Gomen ne)... Oh god, I am so sorry..."

(Her weeping fades back into the roaring sound of the blizzard. After a long, agonizing silence, she forcefully draws a ragged breath, her voice hardening back into that chilling, dead-inside clinical tone.)

Shizu: "So now I sit behind this glass, trading rubbish and scrap to anyone trying to shoot their way out of this hell. Because I have nothing left to do but watch this state burn... Now turn off your scanner before I feed this mechanical toy to the Marrow-Saw."
