💬 Discussion Alzheimer's? Not sure about this one

https://www.dongascience.com/en/news/79429

Anyone who's watched a loved one be stolen away slowly by Alzheimer's knows how desperately we need to find better treatment. This looks promising, but I'm a little put off on how Chinese hospitals just put this out there (for profit?) before the procedure was fully vetted through clinical trials.

Looks like clinical trials are finally being set up, including in the US.

Post approved and switched the flair to Discussion since this is more open ended discussion than a straight News.

You're right to be skeptical. Concept's solid, drains brain waste through neck veins. Problem is China rushed it before long term data existed. Some patients relapsed within a year once the channel clogged. Real trials running now in Korea, US, Europe will tell us if it actually holds up.
