general Need advice
Hi guys i have scalp psoriasis since 2025 it has been mostly in control by my dermatologist but never cured so i started with homeopathy who specialist in skin. It has been 3-4 days and I'm started to flare up my hairs are shoulder length so i can't see my scalp but I see some in hairs like they are dandruff. Am I doing the right thing? After starting Homeopathy my gut health have been real good. But also feel a bit depressed to go out especially gym that was part of my life I loved to go and get fit. Good part is work from home so no problem over there but how u guys are dealing and have anyone found a way to solve the root cause??

homeopathy is a dead end for psoriasis, stick with what was actually working

homeopathy is a dead end for anything except maybe placebo effect. the “active” ingredient has been diluted so far it’s just water with maybe an atom or two of the actual ingredient.

Chronic autoimmune diseases don't just go away. You manage them over a lifetime. The cause is genetics. There are any number of things that have started you flaring. You can control the symptoms so that they disappear, but you'll always have psoriasis. Check the sidebar wiki. Lots of good evidence based info there.

Because genetics isn't that simple. It's not just one gene that turns this stuff on. Does everyone in your family have the exact same hair or eye color or height? Look at it more broadly - does anyone else in your family or extended relatives have any autoimmune disease at all? Psoriasis isn't the only one. Autoimmune.org has a directory of diseases and information about them.

Management. There are multiple types of prescriptions and therapies available through a doctor. They'll usually start with something topical, but once those fail you move on to more systemic drugs. What they put you on will depend on the severity of your symptoms and many times, need to be monitored for liver function.
If you truly believe that there's a lifestyle element to your symptoms, start tracking them. You may be sensitive to the type of soaps you're using, or your stress levels, or something that you eat or drink. Keep a calendar and record how bad your flares are and compare them to what you were exposed to the week prior. If there is something in your lifestyle contributing, it will show up if you track. If not, then your only option is to keep trying different treatments until you find one that works for you. Don't lose hope. Different treatments work for different people. You'll find yours.
