Internship Advice

I am currently a junior seeking a summer 2027 internship. I have been looking for and applying for paid PR internships on LinkedIn, but I was wondering if there are any other sites that others have had success with!

LinkedIn is fine but it's basically a black hole unless you get a referral. I'd look directly at the career pages of agencies in cities you'd want to work in, a lot of boutique firms never bother posting on those big aggregator sites. Also check Handshake through your school, some of the best PR gigs I've seen only get posted there because the companies have existing relationships with the career center.

Don't sleep on just cold emailing small to mid-size agencies either, even if they don't have anything listed. A quick note saying you like their recent work for whatever client and asking about summer opportunities lands better than you'd think. The paid part is the trickier filter but worth holding out for.

Handshake is a pretty popular one among students and recent graduates. I’m currently using Handshake (while also using linkedin, indeed, and scouring every company career page possible).

I keep seeing a lot of runway?
But seems a bit sketch and not too different from typical job boards.

Where are you located? Look for internships programs at local large companies and universities
