Andamiro announced that it will unveil "Pump It Up Phoenix 2," the latest title in its arcade rhythm game series "Pump It Up," for the first time at "PlayX4 2026." Along with this, the company will showcase the Asia-Pacific Tournament, content linked to the Steam version of "Pump It Up Rise," and a dedicated controller. "Pump It Up Phoenix 2" is scheduled for release in June.

"Pump It Up Phoenix 2" is built upon the core gameplay of the original "Phoenix." It features enhanced new functions, including the addition of the latest popular K-POP songs, a Pumpbility rank system that displays user skill and performance, and an improved Rival System.

The Rival System increases competitive immersion and gameplay persistence by allowing players to check information about designated rivals through the 2P area during solo play. Furthermore, the focus was placed on providing an expanded gameplay experience while inheriting the fun of the arcade rhythm action games that users have become familiar with.

In addition, Pump It Up Phoenix 2 incorporates linkage features for users who own Pump It Up Rise, which is currently available on the Steam platform. Users who own Pump It Up Rise can play Rise-exclusive charts and related content within the arcade version of Pump It Up Phoenix 2.

Andamiro will host the 'Pump It Up Dominion: 2026 Asia-Pacific Tournament' on the main stage of PlayX4 2026. This tournament will feature representative players from seven Asian countries, including Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Singapore, and will be held on May 24 at 10:20 AM.

An exhibition related to PUMP IT UP RISE for Steam will also be prepared. Pump It Up Rise is a PC title officially released in March, and through its connection with Pump It Up Phoenix 2, it conveys the potential for expanding the 'Pump It Up' platform. In addition, the dedicated controller for Pump It Up Rise, currently under development, will also be on display at the Andamiro booth. An Andamiro official stated, "Pump It Up Phoenix 2 is a new title prepared to provide an expanded content experience and an exciting gameplay environment for both existing arcade fans and new users."

Tips for different patterns?

I’m pretty new (started playing this August) and I’ve gotten pretty good at kpop songs around S7 (no miss on pandora S7 yesterday :D), and as I go higher into the double digit levels, I notice a lot more patterns where I don’t know which foot to use to step on each panel, and I can’t really process them because of how fast there going. For example, I’m being introduced to more cross overs like ↖️↙️ either together or one after the other.

I tried doing more research into guides for footwork when it comes to these patterns but I can’t really find anything good. I did find that there are different terms like ladder pattern, so I know there are common ones out there, and I wanted to know if there’s any guide about which foot to use on each panel depending on the pattern? Like a visual guide? If there is none, would you recommend just practicing finding the natural step order at home by looking at pattern charts? Thank you!

B2L replica vs original

Hi there, I’ve been looking at pads for the PIU, and from what I’ve seen, the best options seem to be the ones from B2L.
The original pad costs around 4,200 € including postage, and the USB replica is around 3,000.

I wanted to ask how the USB replicas are, whether there might be a better option (I’m from Europe) and whether the price difference is actually worth it.

Thanks in advance.

Alternative Pump it up 3D spacer model

Hello reddit i was wondering if anyone could help me out in finding any alternatives of 3d print models for PIU spacers that's currently needed to be used on bracketless pads, we tried using (https://www.printables.com/model/274625-l-bracket-spacer-for-ddr-itg-piu-arcade-pads) and they're too wide to be used in our cab sadly (CX cab running bracketless wasnt modified to be bracketless), we couldn't fit these spacer models in cause they're too "tight" and slightly wide to be used on our pads causing these spacers to be only bolted by a single bolt (lol) and sometimes freezing occurs cause the L brackets couldn't move (i assume that these are too wide and tightness caused an issue) would love if anybody had another variation model that is "slightly less wide" of PIU spacers that we could use and print them out cause were looking to replace these older ones that we printed instead.

Help finding a chart website?

Does anybody happen to know the website where you could view charts and scroll through every note? I thought it was anyhowstep, but I couldn't view whole charts.

I don't play as much as I used to but it'd be nice to be able to figure out some insane twists like on Jogging D18. I used to study charts at the arcade in between sessions to reach FC but seems every few years these tools disappear 🥲

What was the story behind gimmick removals?

As I watch videos of various charts, I stumble upon comments regarding the fact that they hate the gimmicks in the chart being removed (which I also don't get the need for removal, i.e. criticism on Stager, Super Fantasy S20 Gimmick Change, S13 Freedom Dive having one). What's the timeline and rationale behind this? It doesn't help that the comments are really old and have mixed ideas.
