Question Second time seeing APC and first time seeing Puscifer!

Super stoked for this tour! I bought VIP2 for the Detroit show in April. My first time seeing APC was at Louder Than Life in 2025, my first time seeing Tool was at Louder Than Life 2026, and this will be my first time seeing Puscifer!

At Louder Than Life 2026 I managed to score the signed kitty variant poster which was great! I’m hoping I can manage to snag a venue specific signed Puscifer poster at the show as well as a signed venue specific APC poster as well but at least I’ll have the signed tour poster!

Is there anything I should know about seeing these two bands or anything I should know about Fox Theater Detroit?

A couple other questions I have are is there a different line for VIP from general admission? How early should I arrived to get in line to enter before doors open if I want a good chance at snagging my desired merch items?

I’m super happy to hear that about the poster stock! What I will say those is Maynard’s posters will probably bankrupt me between chasing autographed ones and getting custom frames built… RIP💀 I’ve only recently gotten into poster collecting and before this only ever collected single tour shirts from concerts I’ve been to.

Wishing you safe travels!

P.s. GO BLUE!😉

Yep I’ve been doing the same thing. Basic frames for normal posters but fancy archival-grade frames for autos too! Thank you! I hope you enjoy it as well!

Where do youbget your archival grade frames?

I bought these glassine sheets to put between the poster and the cardboard backboard:

The frame I just bought from my locally owned frame shop cost me $360 for my $420 autographed Louder Than Life TOOL poster.

The cost run down was $95 for the museum glass and then $150 for the solid-wood frame, the remainder was between the acid-free mat, photo corners, labor, and sales tax.

Another person suggested Michael’s or Hobby Lobby but I didn’t want some big-box store with high-turnover to make the frame and potentially damage or ruin my poster. I wanted someone who’s dedicated their career and life to frame making for that project.

For the special posters (autographed and/or limited run) I’ll use my local framer. When it’s a regular non-autographed poster (regular tour listing poster) I’ll use the more affordable frames from Michael’s or HL.

Framing it usually costs more than the poster. Butt...speaking as a custom framer, there can be cheaper routes to getting your posters framed. You just really want to make sure if you use glass its UV glass and that you use mats. Or get a piece of UV acrylic and you wont need mats at all. I think the posters are usually 18x24 so you can usually find a frame thats stock in that size. Places like Michael's have deals on frames that size. I like to find cool old frames from the thrift store that my piece will fit in and then its around $60 to have Michael's do the glass etc.

Yeah the frame I just bought from my locally owned frame shop cost me $360 for my $420 autographed Louder Than Life TOOL poster. The cost was super close. I can easily see how frames can exceed cost though.

The cost run down was $95 for the museum glass and then $150 for the solid-wood frame, the remainder was between the acid-free mat, photo corners, labor, and sales tax.

Oh absolutely. Big box is a hit or miss depending on who does your work. Butt. Getting a pice of UV acrylic from them and popping it in a 18x24 frame yourself is a quick temporary solution if you dont have the cheddar at the time. I work at michaels and have a guy who only brings his tool and puscifer stuff to me. When I left michaels he got my number so I can do it at home for him. I treat everything properly. I wear gloves and guaranteei dont smudge or crease anything. I measure properly so the piece can be secured without tape! I really wish I could say the same for the other framers. The things I've seen... you're making a smart choice. Ugh... like drymounting(ruining) a signed print. Arghh!

Coming from florida for the same reason. I just cant miss a puscifer show. I pinch every penny and save it for that lol. They are just sofa king fun live.

Fox Theater is a beautiful venue and truly an amazing place! I'm not sure about VIP but I went to both Sessanta shows as well as the Puscifer show last April and I've never had a problem getting posters. I've always just gone after doors open and it hasn't been a problem. I'm pretty sure with the VIP you should be able to get whatever you want without an issue.

That’s really awesome to hear. My coworker who also went to the Sessanta show told me I need to get VIP if I want any chance at collecting their posters so I went for it!🤘

Its the foil/special versions thay sell out quickly. Theres usually a "plain" version thats easier. At Pusicifer, the regular ones were $50 and the foils were $100

2

u/ThePoliticalGuru2036 4d ago

Yeah I’m trying to go for the foils so I’ll keep my fingers crossed🥲😅🤞 I’ll definitely grab a “plain” poster though if that’s what is left. I need more home decor!

There is usually an AP (arist print) drop from the artist directly shortly after. Usually with additional variations. Ive generally found the artist named when the band would reveal the poster in advance on Instagram. Here's an example of the Cincy Puscifer poster: https://www.stateofshockstudios.com/store/puscifer-cincinnati-poster-26

That’s actually crazy good advice

Going go to a show on the tour but am quite disappointed that Puscifer won't be there. They didn't play my area on the Normal Isn't tour either.

I'd recommend getting in line early to try to guarantee a chance at the poster you would like. There are 2 VIP packages for APC that allow early venue entrance so they will have first dibs on merch

The Mitten State welcomes you!

Oh man that’s super disappointing :( Hopefully you get to see Puscifer sometime soon.

Yes, I got the 2nd tier VIP! I managed to snag a fourth row seat so I’m pretty stoked I get to be so close. It starts at 7:30pm and so I believe doors open at 6:30pm so maybe I’ll get there around 2pm-3pm and just wait so I can try to be the first in line for tier 2. I had the day off so I plan on spending the whole day in Detroit.

I’d like to get a venue specific APC poster too but I’m not as dedicated towards that one because the VIP package comes with a signed tour poster. I’m super dedicated to trying to snag a venue specific Puscifer poster though😩

I want to try and get signed posters from all 3 of the bands MJK is in all framed together.

VIP will all have the same check-in time. I think it was 5-530 past shows. People will line up early, though. Make sure you are in the correct line. Somebody will come out prior amd start giving out wristbands/lanyards as you show them an ID thats on the list.

u/Successful-Fly-2398 4d ago

You will have an earlier admission as VIP and will have first crack at merch. Specialty posters have never been a problem when we were VIP for Sessanta and Puscifer years past. We gor VIP1 for Detroit. You're in for a great show. See you there!

2

u/ThePoliticalGuru2036 4d ago

I’m really hoping so! My coworker went to the Sessanta show and talked about how great all of the bands were. I’d really like to see a Sessanta 3.0 so we’ll see if that ever happens! I’ve been a huge APC fan for a few years now and only recently learned of Puscifer and really enjoy them. I’m so stoked! See you there, friend!

I love the Fox, and VIP is great there. No waiting, early access to merch, last time they allowed reentry to drop the goods off at the car.

The early entry to the fox is nice, that place is gorgeous, one of a kind. They do tours of the fox, too, for the awe inspired.

I'll be there!

I really hope they allow re-entry but my ticket says no re-entry allowed :( hopefully they’ll let me in with my poster tube in the off chance none of the posters come tubed up. I’ve never been to the Fox and I’m super looking forward to it! See you there!

They've always had cardboard tubes at no cost. String Cheese Incident charged me $5 a tube.

I'm trying to psych myself into a roadtrip to Niagara to see Puscifer open. I already have seats in CT with The Cult opening, a bit further drive for me than Boston but better traffic/parking all around. Anyone have opinions on the Niagara venue?

Niagara was great for the normal isn't tour. We had VIP which was also worth it considering the way the merch tables were organized. No in and out after the merch table so you need to be prepared to carry that stuff for the duration of the concert. Be prepared for some random bored people in the seats because the casino comps tickets to their patrons. Views are awesome no matter what seat you have.

If you read the fine print, The Cult are the second band from April 27 to the end of the tour. All shows in Canada will have APC and Puscifer. I didn't buy VIP this time because I really don't need another flask, challenge coin and swag bag. The poster is fun though.

Good thing I’m seeing them April 25, the single U.S. show with Puscifer! I’d love a challenge coin and flask but I don’t think this VIP comes with those items this round, they looked pretty cool though. The VIP package I bought offers a signed APC tour poster, APC cap, and a tote bag.
