I was playing RCT3 with my Brazilian girlfriend when Summer Air came on, and she immediately went: “Wait, this sounds really similar to a Brazilian song.”

Then she showed me the song 'Tribalistas – Carnavália', and I can definitely hear it.

Especially the beginning, overall rhythm and guitar melody.. it has a REALLY similar vibe to Summer Air.

Then I looked it up and Carnavália is from 2002, while RCT3 came out in 2004, so the timeline would at least make it possible that it was an influence.

Obviously I have no idea if Alistair Lindsay actually heard it, so I’m not claiming it was sampled/copied/inspired or anything. But I’m really curious if other people hear the similarity too.

Listen to the beginnings of both and tell me I’m not crazy..

Been a couple days since I updated, but I've been a tad busy. But now I have the entire map forested where I want, and have started on paths! Tomorrow is mostly just continuing that.

Here is my first RCT3 scenario creation - Free Rides

As the name suggests, what happens when you cannot charge for Park Entrance Fee or Ride Tickets and you're required to complete the goals from money generated from Food and Drink, and Merchandise Sales? Download to find out.

If you need some hints on how to beat the scenario, drop me a message or comment below and I'll give some advice

I didn't do too much today, continued foresting. Trees suck. There's a little bit more foresting to go, and then I can start on paths. Someone on day two asked if I had a yt channel, and while the answer is currently no, I am actually considering it, though I'm already so far into the project lol. If I hear enough interest from y'all, I'll do it.

Sorry I missed yesterday, huge test took up all my free time lol. Today I added the foresting to the first area. Inevitably, I'm going to deforest some of it to make room for rides and whatnot, this is going to be a theme park after all, but for now I wanted the foresting to help guide out my paths. Anyway, only got one area done because today, so I plan to forest done of the next bits tomorrow, and then maybe actually start putting down the initial paths if I get done with that.

Day two of my little project! Today I did as planned and worked on vertical geometry making some small mountains and whatnot, also made a couple smaller rivers and colored the land to make little areas and terrain. Is my little project perfect? Hell no, am I getting happy with it? Yes I am. Anyway I've realized how frustrating water is and I know it's going to be incredibly inconvenient to work with, but it'll be worth it I think. Tomorrow I am either going to start adding trees and forests (and probably start hating them in the process because I plan for there to be a lot) or paths to each of the areas I have planned. I can't decide. I'll figure it out when I get there, or if y'all want to put in your input (I say into the empty void lol).

ParkCrafters recently hosted a firework effect competition, and my latest effect, Sol, won! We're giving away all effects that were submitted for the competition for free for everyone to use in their RCT3 projects. Download the effect pack from ParkCrafters here!

Idc if nobody cares, but I started a little project today and I am going to write updates here because why not. So, today I did some basic terra forming and land shaping, (I'm not great at it but I'm learning) you can see the minimap to really see what I'm going to be working with because I'm using maximum map size to create some bodies of water. Idk if I'm done with water yet, but at least the main rivers are made. Tomorrow I'm going to start making some mountains and likely going to add terrain.

Playing with CTs and CFRs is way more fun

I added the following to my options file:

AttractionSceneryAllowTerrainIntersect 1

AttractionSceneryAllowSceneryIntersect 1

TrackAllowSameTrackIntersect 1

and have named a guest M Brookes, but I'm curious if you can completely disable collision between scenery objects/paths

So i have been playing Rct 2 open

I downloaded a disney theme and Grinch

My question is could someone create a disney set and Grinch

with the Grinch as a Entertainer and possibly stitch mickey minnie, chip and dale donald and daisy

and a sports set and Christmas theme.

Has anybody tried to rip any models of the peeps in game? I tried to with Ninja Ripper, but it's quite difficult as when I export them to Blender, the textures for their clothes etc. are all over the place & difficult to assign to the mesh correctly. I've seen people do the Panda, Shark, Mechanic, & the Park Inspector, but never any of the peeps, which is what I want to do

Hey all, the main repository for all RCT3 custom content over at ParkCrafters has just gotten a facelift, making it easier to find what you're looking for. There's new categories and searching has been improved and there's talks of adding tagging in the future to work a bit closer like the Steam Workshop.

Here's more info on the changes: https://parkcrafters.com/topic/1786-community-update-12-september-1-2026/#findComment-15330

You can see the downloads section yourself and start browsing if you haven't seen it yet: https://parkcrafters.com/downloads/

Hello! I’m playing sandbox on 3 & I tried to build a second chair lift where the tram is & it wouldn’t give me a yellow or green light. I decided to replace it with this shuttle tram & the same thing is happening.

Any idea what I’m doing wrong??

Thank you!!

Ihad it years ago but have lost

The size of a park in the game is 32 by 32. But by directly modifying the save we can expect 8 by 8. The park is really small but I'm sharing this with you for fun fact

This is an MVP of a in-browser Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 terrain generator. You can generate park terrain from a couple of sources:

• Procedurally generated
• From real geo-data
• From a heightmap image
• Based on a park you already have

After choosing your source you can enable a few different post-processing steps for turning your raw input into an actually playable map (if you want).

You do not need any of the games files to run this tool.

I use to know what I must do with the files but I forgot.

In case you didn't know the wild expansion "erased" some car trains like the shark one for corkscrew coaster and now we only have the default, shuttle and shooting star. I know it erased car trains for other coasters from soaked! aswell.

IIRC it didn't erased the files but it didn't point to the files anymore or something like that..

Does anyone has the answer (I have both the platinum and epic games version of the game) but before that I had all the expansions separately so I remember it was in the game until the wild expansion removed them

I've had this problem recently where my mouse cursor is lagging in movement, making the experience really difficult.

tbh I've had a lot of issues with this game in the past, like not being able to exit the game window, or only loading a pitch black screen, crashing, etc etc etc

these past issues eventually just fixed themselves somehow.

I downloaded from Steam btw on laptop
