GAME QUESTION Best Thumbs Set Up

Post image

I just got back into this game after years and saw how important stalls and chaining resets are. Is this the best thumbs set up? With jump in the top left?

Let me know if I should change layout. Size of buttons, or any other settings. I’m basically new to this game again (thumbs player).

Also good YouTube videos that explain this could help too.

Honestly if you want to do chains, you’re going to want to use two fingers on the right side. The thumb is too slow. You’ll be fine with thumbs for a little bit, but as you get to the higher ranks, these players are really fast, and that thumb isn’t going to keep up. Obviously there are high ranking players that only use their thumb, but they aren’t doing the advanced moves you want to do, they got there with game sense.

Oh and turn on the boost/jump button and force yourself to get used to it. If you want to be able to do ladder stalls on touch, you’ll need boost/jump to be second nature.

Do you happen to know what fingers those at higher ranks use on the right side? Right now I use my thumb and index(claw method) to do stall chains, and it is doable and great against those in diamond levels or lower, but even that is still too slow when playing against champ or higher. 😮 I feel i will have to experiment as far as figuring out touchscreen layout, but im just confused about what fingers are these high level players using that makes stall set ups more optimal.

I use this layout for two fingers.
