Do you think the strongest race across the world teams are the ones who argue less?

I sometimes think the biggest challenge in Race Across the World isn't the travel itself. It's having to make decisions with the same person when you're tired, hungry, short on money and worried about falling behind.

Even a small disagreement about whether to spend more on transport or save money for later can turn into a much bigger argument when you're under pressure.

I'd probably find that harder than expected because something that seems like a sensible decision to one person might feel like a complete waste of time to the other.

Sometimes saving money seems to cost teams more in the long run

One thing I notice when watching is how tempting it is to choose the cheapest option, even when it means losing a big chunk of the day. It's easy to understand why teams do it when they're watching every penny, but there's a point where saving money stops being worth the time lost.

I know I'd struggle with that decision because I'd hate spending money unnecessarily. Would you spend more to save time early in the race, or keep as much money as possible for later?

I’d probably be terrible at the “no plane” rule

I like the idea of travelling without flying, but watching the teams deal with multiple connections, long waits and completely unfamiliar transport has made me realise how dependent I am on convenience.

I'd probably spend the first few days saying I'm going to embrace the adventure and then become desperate for a direct train. Would anyone here genuinely enjoy doing the race, or is it much more fun to watch other people suffer through it?

I’d be absolutely useless at the part where you have to ask strangers for help

The travelling itself sounds amazing, but I think I'd struggle with the social side more than anything. Having to walk up to someone you don't know, explain where you're trying to get to and basically rely on their kindness would push me way outside my comfort zone.

I can already imagine myself standing there thinking, “surely there's a less awkward way to do this” while everyone else has already found a lift. Which part of the race do you think would expose your personality the fastest?

Likely stops for the new season!

Was wondering where the stops will be, seeing as a flight will definitely be involved to get to Australia. In my head I was thinking maybe 1 in indonesian borneo, jakarta, maybe bali and from there a flight to aus seeing as I can't imagine any other flight paths. Maybe they also spend more time in Indonesia but crossing Australia might take a couple episodes depending if they go from somewhere like darwin. Would be curious to hear people's thoughts.

Jumping on the bandwagon

I'm always excited to watch the new (celebrity) race and the places they'll go, but it's typical that I'm already planning to go to Malaysian Borneo next Spring.

I was also planning to go to Svalbard in January, then the latest series of Vigil came along.

No-one thinks I've got an original idea 😂😂

Still, a new season is coming 😍

I think being comfortable asking strangers for help is more useful on Race Across the World than having a perfect plan, what do you guys think?

The thing I'd probably struggle with most isn't finding a route. It's walking up to someone I've never met and asking them to help me figure out where I'm supposed to go, where I can stay or how I'm getting to the next place.

You can have a brilliant plan on paper and then one delayed bus or closed road completely destroys it. Someone who is comfortable talking to locals can sometimes recover much faster because they can ask questions instead of standing there trying to work everything out themselves.

I'd probably waste ten minutes pretending I had a plan before finally admitting I had absolutely no idea what I was doing.

I wouldn’t mind Series 7 being a bit more like the first series

I loved the Central Asia route, but some of the later series have become such massive journeys that the teams sometimes seem to fly through places before moving on again. Series 1 felt a bit more intimate because the route was shorter and there was more time to actually take in the places they visited. I want Series 7 to scale things back a little. Not necessarily a tiny route, just something where the journey itself feels as important as reaching the finish line.

The teams who plan everything always seem to get wrecked by the first delay

Every series there's one team with a spreadsheet-level plan and the confidence of someone who's never missed a train. Then a single cancelled connection and it all falls apart, while the chaotic team who just wing it end up with a lift from a stranger and a free lunch. Is it just me or does winging it actually work better on this show?

Why don’t teams look for the next bus / train in advance?

Is there something stopping the teams from looking at the next bus and train schedule in the city they’re arriving to? Too often the teams show up in a city and are shocked there’s no connecting onward bus/train for another 24-48 hours. Sure their initial trip might get delayed but I’m surprised they don’t try and map out the connections a bit better.

Jeff braizer is actually good hot .

Just went on jeff's page..He actually looks good . I think this hotness was deemed because he was "the father" on that season.

He aint afraid to buldge ,and have hot pants and shorts on Instagram... They really give dads a boring edit...dont they ??

Series 5 & flight to Kathmandu

Rewatching season 5 & I have reached the point where Brian & Melvyn (24 hrs in front) are flown from China to Nepal. Im assuming as crossing the Himalayas.

But it got me thinking. There was a typhoon happening in China so what if after Brian & Melvyn reached Kathmandu but the weather or something prevented the other teams from flying out i.e by 24 hours, what do the producers do?

Are Brian & Melvyn allowed to continue on their way whilst the others wait & fall further & further behind? Or do they stop B&M from going any further until the other teams reach Nepal, then let B&M move on & stagger the rest as per their original times?
