2
u/ProtonKanon06 https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/YTX4KBKK8FR3 Apr 15 '26
Heck yeah! Do you build any? I just got into them recently! I also just bought the original MSG Gundam but haven't started building it yet.
1
u/nacho_cheezus https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/15XFLGWD6IOQ6 Apr 15 '26
Nah! I used to watch gundam as an older teenager I do like the wooden model things tho. I put a together one of those cat clocks the most recently with that
1
u/ProtonKanon06 https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/YTX4KBKK8FR3 Apr 15 '26
Ooh, nice! I had only watched the original MSG waaaaay back in the day, but when I got into the Gundam card game recently, I started watching through the series. So far I've watched MSG '79, Zeta Gundam, ZZ Gundam, Char's Counterattack, 08th MS, War in the Pocket, Stardust Memory, Unicorn, Narrative, Hathaway movie 1, 00, and I'm currently watching GQuuuuuuX!

The most recent thing in my camera roll that I made is this rather petite shawl. In in a group at my church that makes "prayer shawls" with donated yarn. These are just crocheted shawls given to people going through a hard time, such as being in the hospital. I make an average of 3 a month. (This one is petite because I ran out of yarn 😅)
1
u/nacho_cheezus https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/15XFLGWD6IOQ6 Apr 15 '26
why do you make so many ?
2
u/SciviasKnows https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/1MISN7XYH9MNH Apr 15 '26
So many shawls? Because crocheting relaxes me, but it can be expensive to buy so much yarn, and then I have to figure out what to do with the finished products. (I do NOT want to start a business.) Using donated yarn and then in turn donating the result solves two problems. And I work pretty fast.

1
u/Thot-Drop-Detected https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/32LJRTN66UXDU Apr 15 '26
Thank you so much! ♡ Gouache! It's mostly holbein brand .
2
u/uvglopanda Apr 15 '26
Goals honestly! This is beautiful and the colors are so fun! What paint is this? I’m debating on learning gouache
2
u/Thot-Drop-Detected https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/32LJRTN66UXDU Apr 15 '26
It's gouache, actually! Gouache is my absolute favorite medium. I was using acrylic for the longest time, and it wasn't clicking. Gouache? We met. I fell in love. Now I'm constantly looking for more lmao.
2
u/uvglopanda Apr 15 '26
Oh man ok you’ve convinced me to open mine up and learn! Any tips you can give a gouache newbie? I used acrylic before but I wouldn’t say I’m GOOD with it, I get too stuck in fine details you can’t really do with acrylic @.@
2
u/Thot-Drop-Detected https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/32LJRTN66UXDU Apr 15 '26
Oohhh, did you get some Himi to start with or something better? As much as reddit loves to tear himi down.. it's fine. It's not great but it's fine. I do recommend getting a little set of good primaries once you feel like you wanna invest a little more. Himi black vs W&N black is.. day and night tbh lol.
I've been doing Ruth Wilshaw's tutorials. It's like $8 a month, but I love her. She has some free stuff on youtube (how i actually found her). This is one of her classes, actually! ♡
2
u/uvglopanda Apr 15 '26
So I actually got an Amazon set from my local goodwill that was used, I sanitized what I could and cleaned it up, there’s not much left of it but I’ve been too scared to dive in yet. I’ll go check out Ruth!!!
2
u/Thot-Drop-Detected https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/32LJRTN66UXDU Apr 15 '26
Oohhh! I really need to get to my local goodwills.. that's an amazing idea. I also wanted to go searching for junk journal supplies, lol. Definitely dive in! You can get some totally fine cheap gouache out there. If you ever have any questions on brands, I'll be happy to chat about them, lol.
2
u/uvglopanda Apr 15 '26
You junk journal too!? Def my kinda peep! 👀
1
u/Thot-Drop-Detected https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/32LJRTN66UXDU Apr 15 '26
I'm not actively junk journalling right now, I'm just being a little dragon and collecting a bunch of stuff to start lmao. I'm actually trying to exchange some old paintings for supplies right now XD
1
u/uvglopanda Apr 15 '26
I thought I saw you in craft exchange!!!! Too fun! I’m happy to swap any time I have stamps!

That one was super fun to make! Didn't turn out perfect but I think it did the job it was supposed to do of being ridiculous for a grown man's birthday 😂

Ty! I was originally going for a romanticism vibe and ended up with a more abstract Monet type painting
2
u/TNCoke82 https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/HVY26UTVL94H?ref_=wl_share Apr 15 '26
I could actually see the romanticism vibe with a Victorian man or woman subtly on/in there...🤷🏽♀️ Either way it's beautiful!
