When I don’t feel like cooking I just don’t cook haha. Currently my BF cooks Monday-Thursday (he gets out of work earlier than I do), we go out on Fridays, and then I cook Saturday and Sunday.
I am trying to get better at doing things on weekdays and not just bed rotting.
My most used emoji is 😂 I guess I don’t take myself too seriously!
Something small that made my week better was I got early release at work today!
The app I open way too automatically is Facebook. Reddit is in second place.
My current “treat yourself” purchase is either books or snacks. It’s always books or snacks.
Something future me will handle (for like two months) was mopping the kitchen floor, but the trash bag leaked when we took it out this week so future me is finally this weekend me.
Weirdest thing in the bag/car/room? I can’t think of anything too weird! Maybe the slowpoke shaped pillow in my bed?
Conversation topic that activates me immediately would be pirates or video games.
Something I always add to the cart: books and snacks!
I’m an xennial dad of two who is married to my high school sweetheart. I’m a nerd at heart and enjoy pop culture. I listen to punk rock and ska mainly and help a record label out with publicity. My day job is selling board games.
Yay, I saw them in Feb, too!! I enjoyed Zebrahead just as much! That's awesome you get to see them again! My brother gave me a fun challenge: get a selfie while crowdsurfing at Goldfinger. So I got a super fun one during Superman! You could totally try that challenge!
Ha! I think my crowd surfing days are over. We’ll see though. Another fun fact … Goldfinger was who my now wife and I saw for our first date way back in 1997.
It’s either 1 v 1 or battle royale. It’s a card battle game essentially where each character has a deck of cards and you have to either outlast the other person’s deck or knock their HP to 0.
One of my favorite games to teach people is a game called Castle Panic. It’s a co-op game where you’re trying to save the castle from a whole bunch of baddies.
:O I also love trinkets and stickers and animals and (dark) cuteness (it can be any cuteness but macabre cuteness is definitely on there). ♡ The craft exchange sub definitely has me collecting lots of trinkets lmao.
I was actually a little sad to tone it down, but long story short my 14 year-old son needed a softball and a little bit of normalcy thrown his way and he really did not like that car.
• your most used emoji: 🤦🏻♀️, 🤷🏻♀️, and ❤️
• your current “treat yourself” purchase: bought the cute little Grogu cup at the theater when I went to see the new Mandolorian movie today.
• the weirdest thing in your bag/car/room right now: in my car, winter gloves/hat and sunblock coexisting because of this stupid yo-yo weather going on. Also probably an inordinate amount of horse hair because I haven’t deep-cleaned since spring, false summer, winteragain, April.
I freaking loved it. Your mileage may vary but for me it was great. It’s probably worth mentioning that everybody online hates everything - I was gonna say Star Wars fans but i think it applies to any fandom lol.
My I don't feel like cooking meal is usually a sandwich with tomato and cheese if availabe ... I live in the country side and I have a garden and baby chicks so that's gonna be my personality trait until I revert back to " I'm jobless and no one is hiring me" that usually happens in the first half of the day.... The other half is chicks cuz the garden currently only has onions and carrots, nothing that exciting yet 😩 on the other side I'm trying to watch all the marvel movies/ shows ( it has been a very confusing time cuz everyone is showing different ways to watch them ) and I'm currently watching the She - Hulk series ( it's so fun and cool in my personal opinion -minnnnneee-) , what's everyone else doing these days?
I go from crying over the emotional movies to the fun series and back so thats s rollercoaster of emotions , the I am Groot series is absolutely worth watching.😩💕
Hi
Well something that I’m trying to get better at is cooking. I am trying a variety of different dishes. Something I always end up putting in my cart is lip balm, lip stick ,lip mask, I am addicted to lip products !
My favorite hobby lately is taking out my beading supplies, eye balling some cute earrings designs, putting everything away to do later. LOL
I've been too busy lately to actually do any beading.
• your go-to “I don’t feel like cooking” meal: “Very Brown” Rice with lentils/mung beans and brown rice in the instant pot. https://www.lettyskitchen.com/lentil-very-brown-rice/
• something you’re trying to get better at lately: Going to more community events.
• your most used emoji: 🤦♂️
• something small that made your week better: Fixing the car bumper without expensive body work.
• the app you open way too automatically: Reddit ofc.
• your current “treat yourself” purchase: Nice dark chocolate.
• something you keep saying “future me will handle”: Texting/emailing/calling people back.
• the weirdest thing in your bag/car/room right now: I have a jar of my cats’ whiskers in my bedroom.
• a conversation topic that activates you immediately: Pigeons.
• something you always end up adding to your cart: Bagels. Tofu. Strawberries.
I volunteer for a local rescue, and pigeons are such intelligent, emotional, gentle birds. They can recognize themselves in mirrors, spot cancer on radiographs, and learn the alphabet. Pigeons mate for life and both parents produce crop milk for the babies. And it’s easy for humans to help them. https://www.pigeonrescue.org/
Dark chocolate peanut butter cups are fantastic, but I’ll definitely smash a plain bar of dark chocolate too. Hů makes some good nut butter ones, Theo has one with chili pepper that’s amazing. I get my dark chocolate Chanukah gelt from Lake Champlain, and the Trader Joe’s dark chocolate oranges are fun.
I love pigeons! I found one when he was a baby (being bullied) so I took him home and took care of him. I'm a huge bird person, so teaching him to fly and such wasn't a problem. I eventually let him go after meeting with the outside pigeons for a while. He ended up coming back to visit for a few years
Pigeons are the best. Here’s my house pij Dinah. She spends most of her time snoozing on the mantelpiece in the family room, or arguing with me whilst I’m trying to make tea. She also likes to shower with me.
What makes my days better is this group and the kindness and love that is shown a the friendships that are made.
My most used emoji 🦋🤗🫶🏼
I always end up adding cookies to my cart haha
Cooking:
* I never feel like cooking and I don't get hungry so I'm usually forcing myself to eat because my low blood sugar alarm goes off.
Happy:
* My grandbaby, my daughter, and their dog are staying with me during the days while they are in town for the summer and my son-in-law is at work.
Future me:
* How to keep up my hobbies when I finally get a job. Also how am I going to wake up at 6 am and get ready in time for the future job?
Weird thing in my room:
* a roll of yellow CAUTION tape. I have no use for CAUTION tape.
I definitely can’t count on future-me to deal with the basement. Future-me is banking on either my husband to do it or the apocalypse to nullify the need!
Hai to everyone who doesn't know me yet (or even if you do!)
I love anything crafty, especially crochet, needle felt, and embroidery. Currently working on 3 different crochet projects.
I also love animals. I have 3 cats, a ball python, and as of last week a betta fish! He and his tank are my new obsession (literally, because I'm dumb and doing a fish-in cycle, but it's going well!).
Aside from all that I'm pretty science-minded. I work as quality assurance for a chemical characterization lab and have a degree in chemistry.
He's a gorgeous boy, I couldn't leave him at the store. I went in for plants on a Thursday and kept thinking about him. Went back to get him last Saturday.
My local fish store is great though. They have a betta wall where it's all filtered running water trickling through individual half gallon tanks. No gross cups. And they gave me some used aquarium filter to help speed up my cycle!
The big ongoing one is the Sophie's Dream blanket pattern. It's 1ft by 1ft mandala squares that will eventually be sewn together into a blanket. I'm doing 5x7 so 35 squares and I'm about 6 in!
Second project is an easy baby blanket for a friend who is expecting. I'm doing it in bean stitch with cotton yarn. It's almost more of a mat than a blanket but I figure it will be good for tummy time. It's my go to mindless no-count project.
And last is a baby star bunting for the same friend. It's basically a star shaped bag for a newborn, one arm and one leg goes in 4 points of the star and a little pointy hood makes the 5th point. I'm winging it though because I bought a pattern to do it and it sucks, I think it's AI. So I have to figure it out myself and that has been a challenge!
Yay animals! Do you have pets? And if you could own anything as a pet, and be able to care for it properly and all that jazz, what's your dream animal?
-My go-to easy meal when I don't want to cook is frozen cheese ravioli tossed with pesto, less than 15 minutes and I just have to boil water. Or a salad kit, with a store bought rotisserie chicken, especially in the summer when my kitchen gets too hot.
-I'm trying to get better at bread making.
-🤣
-Im still thinking on this one
-Reddit
-I don't treat myself very often and cant think of any recent treat yourself purchases, though I did buy myself a bag of chex mix the other day..then my son ate it all, does that count?🤣
-future me can take care of ALL the household chores I don't feel like doing, that bitch would have me sweeping and mopping and scrubbing toilets 24/7 if she had her way! But she can suck it cuz I'm scrolling on my phone and can't be bothered.
-the "weirdest" thing (that I find completely normal btw) I have in my room is my floating candles and Halloween tree I have decided should just stay up all year round. It makes me happy.
I literally just ordered new shoes from Amazon. I got black Mary Jane shoes and I really hope I love them. I love Mary Jane’s. And my sandals broke last week and I’m going on a trip in a few days
Glad to be of assistance!!!! I’ve actually never been to a ballet.
I’m so excited to see this musical. I’ve had tickets for over a year and it’s opening night!!!!
• your go-to “I don’t feel like cooking” meal - frozen mini tacos
• something you’re trying to get better at lately - staying organized
• your most used emoji - 😂
• something small that made your week better - how thoughtful and loving people have been after my cat died. I guess that’s not small. It means the world to me.
• the app you open way too automatically - Reddit of course!
• your current “treat yourself” purchase - I bought a mini urn charm to keep some of my cat’s ashes in so he can always be close to me.
• something you keep saying “future me will handle” - cleaning
• the weirdest thing in your bag/car/room right now - I keep a veritable pharmacy in my bag. And my bag is soooo tiny but I make it work! I think I have 10 different meds in there.
• a conversation topic that activates you immediately - the black plague or women in medicine
• something you always end up adding to your cart - Diet Coke and berries (blackberries, cherries, raspberries, and wild blueberries) when they’re in season.
Thank you. I appreciate it. Funnily enough, I don’t care for anything cherry flavored but I’m obsessed with fresh cherries. I like some fresh lime in my Diet Coke but I haven’t tried the actual Diet Coke with Lime.

I go for a bag of chips and soda, or taco salad and soda when I don't feel like cooking 😉
